I bought it a couple of days ago. Don’t think I’ll go online for a month or so. Watched many videos online and people on here are insane 😂. How goes your journey?
@@aHumanBeing97 i play on pc and i find the random player that's as bad as me sometimes lol. Most times i just game rekt without even damaging the opponent
Pressure. This is the one that gets me. I can block good, but when it comes to pressure I cant seem to get it right. I always keep dropping it. And I get punished.
Dragon Ball Code just don’t be predictable. Different characters have different ways of doing it. If you just keep repeating the same block string over and over you’ll never open your opponent up. Characters like Gohan, Gotenks (that beam cancel is so good, Bardock, and Kid Buu have godlike mixup and pressure
Just practice man! I remember thinking that I would never be able to finish the combo challenges. And now I'm doing corner loop combos!!! Do I drop them? OF COURSE!!! But it's not about being perfect, it's about learning.
I remember when i started playing and i was android rank..i saw supreme kai rank as something so hard to get to.. now im demon rank and its not just the wins i just feel like playing alot better.. your videos and live streams helped bro 👊
For me that's impossible, thats why i only play with player of my region only, and if i find someone with lag...Well i lose cause i can't even combo with lag.
I wish they had some sort of slo mo mode for practicing. I’m new to fighting games in general and have only had fighterz for a few days. For me the hardest part has been learning combos and reacting to attacks
I would love a tutorial on how to construct and figure out a characters block strings. That is something I frequently avoid trying to try in pvp because I don't know what kind of mindset or pieces there are to a block string, and I give up pressure constantly because of it XD. Thanks for these videos! They help so much more than you know in just getting into the mindset of how to play this game :)
This is probably the best 10 min video on how to get better at this game. I have watched a bunch of them, and they all have their good parts but this seems to have all the most important stuff (ie. fundamentals) condensed and well explained. Thank you sir, my ranked record is something like 2-55 right now but ever since I got those 2 wins (against the same dude just barely worse than me) I have been hooked. This should help.
this video is very useful for fighting games in general, and i'm sure this will help newcomers to FGC through DBFZ, Great Job dude, keep up the good work
PRESSURE!! Specifically the button sequences you use to apply it and gain the advantage. You can also throw in the basic pressure game that is universal for a couple characters to complete part of your video.
Would love an in depth tutorial on snapback, specifically ways to follow up offensively after snapping an opponent in, and your defensive options if you are being snapped in
Great video! Surprise there aren’t more video explains the basics of fightin games in general very helpful! Next video you should talk about discovering and utilizing block strings!
Awesome video. You should make videos in the order in which they happen in a match: 1.Neutral 2. Pressure or Defense 3. Punish 4. Health Management (health management doesn't necessarily have an order so I think it should be last)
Health management is actually kinda simple; will only take one vid at most. The biggest decision I find myself making in a match is whether or not I should save a low health character or throw them on screen to get level 3 Sparking,
Mahir Tahseen I'll always choose a lvl 3 sparking over a low (and only low) health character. I just try and get as much damage before they're ko'd. I've made so many comebacks by having a level 3 sparking. Edit: unless it's a character I suck with, then it's debatable lol.
danm! I never knew fighting games can get so technical!! Now I watch those pro competitions and admire their skills even more! Danm its so hard to be good!
You weren’t kidding when you you’ll be read like an open book. I just fought someone who literally would only rely on spamming ki blasts then super dashing. Me being a borderline beginner and like mid-level player, I recognized quickly how to counter and he very clearly mad and it felt good😊
I still find myself below these tutorials even. Probably because I never really played fighting games before this, I'm atrocious... working real slow to get better though. These have been helpful!
New information has been released about Shinobi Striker, we will be getting Mitsuki and Sarada as characters. But whats crazy is we will be getting Mitsuki's Sage Mode for character creation. Ace Operative already did a video on it
My main issue is finding a way out of the corner sometimes when people seem to have an endless combo string while blocking but i think it looks like i need to make use of reflect more
@@yaboylitty6732 Well it happens that the fighting games I like are ones my friends don't, and vice versa lol. Smash is about the only one we could agree on unfortunately.
I have the same problem. They are not the best team or even meta or even a good team but just try out in practice mode what your strengths are. Never played online because i am still stuck with my team in practice mode learning new things and new combos.
I can handle hard difficulty easily but as soon as i get online im always playing against someone thats doing like combos that destroy a whole health bar
Game was fun until I hit 500k BP. Then everyone started to abuse vegeta assist. Very boring to see the same thing over and over. Before someone gets on me about "you're trash" or "git gud", I would fare better if the assists didn't cover 70% of my character and I can't see whether it's an overhead or a low starter let alone a grab. The worst is when the opponent uses an assist and then instant air dashes TWICE in the corner. I just give up at that point. I play when I get the time and I'm no means a pro. Id put myself anywhere between intermediate to advanced. It's just boring to have to block the entire time as the opponent goes through all the block strings while staying safe with assists. Also someone mentioned vanish being plus on block. I'm always left amazed that people can do a unsafe move and then make it safe by blinding using vanish and then continuing to press buttons. Oh well
janusan09 you're playing too slow. If they do a vanish after an unsafe move, you can punish with light bc there is a gap btwn there. Why dont you use your assist to cover your approach, and just stay calm during those times. If you rush or give up, then thats the reason you lose. Utilize your assists to help you and punish them. Im at 567,000 BP btw
Denarie Rawlins I've tried to punish the vanish numerous times. I've experimented with all sort of timings and etc. I've even blocked the vanish then mashed light to see if I can hit the guy before he starts pressing buttons. Nothing. But the fact remains that vanish is plus on block so any gap there may be is probably very small and I ain't GO1. Of course I can use my assists too but only issue is I really gravitated towards trunks ssb vegeta and black. Only black has a meaningful assist. Trunks isn't bad but vegeta blue's assist is awful. That's what I mean when I say people choose teams for the assists (ssj vegeta) not because they like the characters.
That's the problem I have with this game, people don't play this game to have fun, they only play to win... That's why you can almost always see the same teams in high level, it gets boring man...
janusan09 theres nothing wrong with changing your team. Ill give you a story. I first used ssb goku, ssb vegeta and goku black. I just liked the characters but i had no assists that were useful and it caused me to lose. Then i used ssj goku, ssj vegeta, and trunks. Wht was different is that i had better assists bc of goku and vegeta but i didnt like to play as vegeta or trunks, so BP went down. Now i made a final decision of using Adult Gohan, Ssj goku and goku black. Bc of that team i have much more bp. 2 beam assists are good for coverage and help me extend combos. My best advice is to change your team to better assists you feel comfortable with. Good Luck!!!
Random stuff I've learned: This game is for degenerates. You gotta find your inner scumbag if you wanna do well in this game. If you think what you're doing is fair you aren't doing it right. Everything in this game is safe. There are some gaps you can hit buttons during, but overwhelmingly everything in this game is safe. I don't mean plus on block either. Between Vanish and assists and the bar you generate on block, there's no reason ever. EVER. to be unsafe on block. That all said, Going for Parries during a blockstring is relatively safe unless they bait it/cross it up. Gets you free meter and a punish sometimes. Spend bar on switching during blockstun. It's pretty good. Just run blue on point, your assist problem should fix itself. Use sparking to save him, even. Teleports + assists are good, and his is pretty safe on block. Sounds filthy in theory. trunks' assist cancels out vegeta's. Small Projectile invulnerable from frame 1. Just mentioning this, so you could try countercalling.
I’d like a video on block strings. I can’t quite seem to master those. And then when I do manage to get a hit in that’s not a down medium I dont know how to transfer that into a combo. Advice!
Honestly the best teacher is experience! Just play the game an hour or two a day and you will eventually see a major improvement in your fighting skills...
I struggle with the game and I'm 0 wins and 9 losses on ranked, so I mostly play casual and training mode. Right now my team is Vegeta, Trunks and Frieza. If you want to see how much I suck there's a video on my channel where I pull a comeback, but I sucked ass and it was really low level play!
I don’t know if you have already made a video of this but what about how to set the training mode on how best to practice the the five fundamental you mentioned in this video? If you have could you send me the link?
Glad you made this video, seems I just need to work on defense, punishment and..EVERYTHING ELSE ON THE LIST😭😭gonna hate how long I'll have to stay in training mode
Nothing Special The overhead done by pressing forward and medium at the same time that all characters have (hence the term universal.) These can be done during a combo, but it doesn't actually combo. Instead you can react to the overhead by doing a reflect. Down+H is for when they either super dash or do an air attack, in which case you're invincible to said air attack during the animation of the down+h. Hope this helps.
Which areas to get better I need all iv Been trying to do is learn other fighting games but I can’t seem to learn I saw dragon ball fifhterS and loved everything about the presentation and art style I eventually got the game but ofc I couldent figure it out. The only fighting game iv learned is smash brothers but I wanted to branch out to others sutch as injustice and db fighters both of which I loved their ideas but I seem to just suck at them and can’t seem to learn but this year imma sit down and try to learn cuz I truly want to learn this game I love dragon ball and I love this games art style and animations
Learn your character normals range and i.a.d back and forth while using your best normals to advance forward most people use jump in i.a.d heavy because its a good button to over head
How do I use the sparking?? Is it a one button command and if so, what button is it assuming I use default settings lol thanks I’m sry I realize how dumb this prob is to most
I'm super saiyan 3 rank right now, and the punishment is fucking godly, I'm stuck in the corner for a good minute and when I block low it doesn't work on my ps4 controller sometimes I don't know if it's just me
Weird request I’m looking to face someone with a good teen gohan , gohan , hit , kid boo and Android 16 . On Xbox . Trying to get better at countering them .
What characters are good for 1st start then 2nd etc and finally like what types are fast so are good for combos ..powerhouse type long rangers counterers etc so what I'm saying is it a like paper rock scissors per se this type beats this and so on ...????
I need my reflex to b better because there are often when i know how to counter but it happens s fast im to slow or converting not knowing if the opponent would block or not
Very good video with a lot of information. Start with neutral. I think most people having trouble with that. Better do more than one video with this subject. It's really complex. It's also really important, before you can apply preassure to your opponent, you have to get in. After that, preassure and mix ups, maybe with meaty set ups although meaties alone can fill up a couple videos. Then defense option, option selects etc. Following by Health Management and last the punishment. Which is just combo videos... we have enough of this useless stuff already.
That's the beauty of it. The fact that it IS hard. It's not something that should be easy. And as such, it's not a problem with this game, but more of a problem that you have with it, that you need to work with. Why? Cause that's known as having "reaction time". If you play vs a dude with a godlike reaction time, you will lose if he just reacts to everything you do with utmost perfection. It's a skill you need to work on.
GrimmBones I’m well versed in fighting games so I’m not new to the genre. I don’t play 3v fighting games so it’s new but most people are already used to and knowledgeable of characters online so anyone starting out usually gets smacked and can’t improve. That was my issue
@@SavageSenzu But that's not really that big of a problem, since you can always choose to fight players that are your rank. So if you're starting out, you will be fighting other players that are starting out. I don't see the issue there.
@@SavageSenzu Hahah, ofc there is. When you are searching for a match, you can set the options for which person should be allowed to fight you based on their connectivity and rank. I noticed that as soon as I got into the lobby. (mostly cause I was searching for something else, and saw that, but it was straight up in the Global Match menu thingy)
All i need in this game is ss4 gogeta with a lvl 3 big bang kamehameha.. i will master all of these fundamentals, practice combos practice combos and practice combos untill the day i get to play with the most badass tailed saiyan ever known to mankind! Yes i know people are still saying gt is shit, they dont put gt in this game, but you know what? The gt fanbase is still very very large and whatever makes money will be put in the game. Idc if he will get in in the sequel. As long as he gets in i'm a happy autistic fanboy!
Jeffrey N but super is more larger and had a bigger Fanbase plus it's canon so as u can see they already using DBS character like Black,Hit Golden frieza , beerus etc
To be fair, Toriyama himself said he ended up loving Broly and that's basically why he introduced Kale. So having Broly included doesn't surprise me. Bardock actually kinda did because Toriyama wasn't a huge fan of the Bardock stuff and I'm even more surprised they included a super saiyan transformation for him
James Hoffberger dont spread lies toriyama didnt come up with kale or caulifla he doesn't care about broly. The anime staff created them and wanted kale to be like broly just cause hes popular
James Hoffberger Toriyama liked Bardock enough to write him into the manga (dragon ball chapter 307, "Kick-starting the decisive battle"), even though he was originally non cannon. "I really like the story of Bardock, Goku’s father. It’s quite dramatic, and the kind of story “I absolutely wouldn’t draw” if it were me. It was like watching a different kind of Dragon Ball in a good way, so I thought it was nice." -Toriyama. I don't know where you heard he didn't like Bardock, but that quote is straight from kanzenshuu.
You start by returning the game lol. As someone who also hasn’t played fighting games there’s no leway for new players, you will always play against pros and will likely not knock one character. Speaking from experience. New player and haven’t had a close fight after like 50 games played
Funny how I try to punish with down b or just b in generally after they dash and they STILL HIT ME but when I dash they can punish me EVERYTIME. It hurts mann
Do it BEFORE the dash connects. Get better at learning how to read your opponents attack patterns. If they have a tendency to dash alot then just keep your mind on that Down B.
IK HOW TO CURE HICUPS (or how its called idk xd) First: *light, medium, heavy down-* am kidding, inhale as much air as you can Then: try exhaling but cover your nose and mouth so you make a lil preassure, but dont do it too hard or your throat is going to blow (personal experience) and hold it for like 5 secs Finally: stop covering your mouth and exhale, realease all that air *If it does not works just drink water in a akward position and dont drown yourself* I may suck at funni punching anime simulators but i can cure something like this
I'm having trouble atnot mashing. Mostly when im getting comboed for ridiculous amounts of health. either way, even if my combos arent that fancy I think i need to understand more when my character has priority or not. Only I phew days ago i discovered on a stream that vanish has priority if the enemy defends. Something about -1 or wtvr frames. Also would like to know how to extend some combos to its full, for example down medium after sparking or what to do after a vanish or when to call assists other than vegetas.
Most of those depend on the character you are playing as. Some are more suited to X or Y situation when starting a combo. Different characters call assists at different times to extend combos. You also do not necessarily have to use assists in combos, I use mine to start combos or to apply pressure.
