Sorry, but I have to disagree with you re’ mid-rise pants. I think it depends on your body type. Individuals with short torsos and long legs look great in them….but I have a longer torso and legs of about the same length…a 50/50 set up. Mid-rise pants don’t reach my waist, so they emphasize the length of my torso, plus they end up giving me a fat roll at the top of my size 8 pants, which is inelegant. Going up a size doesn’t work either because then they gap at the top. Thus, mid-rise is soooo unflattering for me and older individuals who don’t have shorter torsos. I also have to disagree with you regarding little black dresses (LBD) for older women. All black washes an older woman out. She needs some color. I have found a navy dress does everything an LBD does without the harshness. My point is, there’s no one answer for all ages and sizes of women, and applying these five things to every woman doesn’t always work. Good try though.
