I had no idea they were that simple to separate! And step 5 was very helpful! I'm the person that would've over watered immediately! 😂

Yes, if you soak your soil at the beginning, then it should still be wet enough for a few days. Good luck! 😃

My fern was actually growing out through the cracks for watering in the bottom of its pot. I feel like that's definitely it trying to tell me it's crowded. Thanks for the vid lol

Yep I've got one like that right now too! My Kimberly queen is growing out the pot's drainage holes. Hopefully I'll have time to split her soon as well! 😂

Can i repot a boston Fern i a pot without holes? A i brought the pot with the plant.

It's not recommended. Technically you can, but you will always be fighting a thin balance between overwatering and underwatering. A lot of times they will sell a nursery pot with holes inside of the decorative pot without holes. Try this setup if you really like the pot without holes. 🙃

No need for rocks at the bottom for drainage?

Rocks at the bottom of your pot can actually make drainage worse in some cases. Especially indoors. So I don't recommend rocks in the bottom of any of your pots. 😊

I'm sorry it's been quite a while since I recorded this video and I don't remember for sure. But I think it was an 8" pot... 🙃

Ok but *what soil do you use ?!*
@thegirlwithashovel
@thegirlwithashovel 9 месяцев назад
I just use a regular houseplant soil. But I'm sure some people have a specific fern mixture that I'm assuming has a higher peat percentage. Sorry I can't be more helpful. I don't want to recommend anything I haven't researched and tested myself.
