I feel your pain mate, as a fellow retiree, I’d suggest you look into passive index fund investing and learn some more. For me, I had my share of ups and downs when I first started looking for a consistent passive income so I hired an expert advisor for aid, and following her advice, I poured $30k in value stocks and digital assets, Up to 200k so far and pretty sure I'm ready for whatever comes.

Same here but we lost most of our money over 8 years ago market crash. And bcuz of a very bad and greedy banker at wels Frgo… but we buckled down and paid cash for everything, cut our credit cards… our million dollar home is paid off… zero debt and we have beautiful furnishings in our home that we got used online… it’s not been easy but it’s been worth it

I believe that we have been blessed with much is because we gave much! We’ve faithfully RETURNED TITHES AND OFFERINGS that God commands in scripture…10% but we’ve been “giving about 25-30% of our income. Its HIS MONEY… NOT OURS!

So you’re in the 40% tax bracket and think he’s out of touch? I’m not making enough to be in that bracket, but I know It’s totally doable, but you have to sacrifice. The more you sacrifice the faster you get there. Alone or roommates Small house, live with parents or Big house Old car bike or New car Meal prep or eat out Limit entertainment funds Invest in increased value not speculation Have 2 jobs and live on one and invest the second Have a job you don’t love Have a budget and live by it, if you’re overspending on credit cards you absolutely can’t The ones who will have this more difficult are single parents and those with medical conditions with expensive treatment
