The 5th British-Polish Tech Forum took place on 14 November 2023 at the Queen Elizabeth II Centre in London. This year, the event’s organisers were the Embassy of the Republic of Poland in London along with the Polska Agencja Inwestycji i Handlu, Polish Business Link, and the British Polish Chamber of Commerce.
On this occasion, the Ambassador of Poland to the UK, Professor Piotr Wilczek, opened the conference and spoke about the prospects of British-Polish cooperation in the sphere of cybersecurity and AI. In turn, Krzysztof Hajłasz from the Polish Investment & Trade Agency, showed the potential of the Polish workforce in the sphere of technology.
Later, the representatives of the British-Polish partnerships in modern technologies discussed new opportunities for the field. The event saw Comarch, a Polish software house, as well as other companies, deliver presentations on their innovations. The keynote address was given by Karol Cienkus, the Head of the Economic Section Embassy of the Republic of Poland in London.
Poland has more than 60,000 IT students and half a million people working in the IT/ICT sector, including 250,000 programmers. A report from Emerging Europe has also placed Poland at the top of the IT Competitiveness Index. We hope that with such records, the bilateral cooperation between Poland and the United Kingdom will continue to flourish.
