Thanks for posting. I saw them two years ago in PA. Flo is the only original member of the touring group, but gosh, they were amazing! They sang for two hours, non-stop! They neat thing was they arrived early in the day, and went around town introducing themselves to the local folks. They are a class act. It is easy to see why they won 6 Grammys, and for a woman that was 72 years old, Flo still had an amazing voice. If you have a opportunity to go and hear them, please go. You won't be disappointed.
Mama's and papas recorded it and John Phillips wrote it but their version wasn't a big hit so Johnny rivers told the 5th to record it it was their first hit
To commenter SASHINE the name of the show this was on is AWAY WE GO from AUGUST 26,1967 and it was one of many pop rock music shows that preempted the evenings well known tv shows!!!! They are singing GO WHERE YOU WANNA GO (february 67) and UP UP AND AWAY (june 1967) 2 of thier HIT SONGS OF 67!!!!!!
