Is that a calypso version of Up Up and Away? Fifth Dinension could never put a foot wrong, and Flo and Marilyn are like angels from heaven with the most impossibly dazzling and radiant smies.
The 5th came through Dallas once around '78 or so, and my late wife and I caught the show then met the two ladies back stage. They were fun and cool and so happy.
We forget about this great talented lady cause of the group format she was apart of during these hit days. Or the duet part with her spouse but Princess Marilyn earned her status.
Yes, but we got to see her shine when she & Billy went Solo after 10yrs with the 5th Dimension. Her 'Solid Gold' solo Career made her even more Successful and a Household name. The show ran for 8yrs. Over the decades she always stood out during all the Duo performances with her husband Billy. Glad they still perform at shows & events.
I had a high crush on Marilyn before I was old enough to be interested in girls! Go figure, she was and still is the last of the great torch singers! In my old age I still love her.
You got that right. Sheer joy to hear them harmonize together. Nothing like them in music these days. Too bad for the kids now. They never got the chance to grow up with quality of this caliber. :(
