FILM DESCRIPTION:
The human race stands on the brink of extinction as a series of alien attacks decimate the planet, causing earthquakes, tsunamis and disease. Separated from her family, Ohio teenager Cassie Sullivan (Chloë Grace Moretz) will do whatever it takes to reunite with her brother Sam. Fate leads her to form an alliance with Evan Walker (Alex Roe), a mysterious young man who may be her last hope. Doesn't the brother literally yell for the bus to stop. Plus who sees a cry boy yelling at the back window and doesn't do something. It's the driver's fault. And literally everyone around the kid. Who gets off a bus and expects it to suddenly leave and no one attempt to stop it when you and someone else on the bus are making a scene. It's like they blatantly ignored the kid.

It's accurate that the bus driver doesn't stop, because in the book (which is extremely well written and a fun and quick read) the bus driver isn't supposed to waste his time waiting for the kid. they're not there to save the kids, they're using them.

Everything about this scene is so wrong. "Just because a guy is in a uniform doesn't mean we have to do it" - dad should have sat that kid down and explained to her the reality of armed and organized forces. "I can't leave without Teddy" - kid should have already had the bear with him. Saving that, the sister should have just explained to the boy that there are more important things in life than sentimental toys. *Bus leaves without her* - no way an armed force would allow the girl off the bus to begin with, much less allow the bus to leave without her. This is a military op with a bus driver, nobody is going to be left behind - especially when they're right there. Military would have let the civilians go first (Or at least, have some personnel stay behind to ensure safe departure) so the girl would have been picked up by the troopers and escorted to the same location regardless. Have the poeple who wrote this film never experienced reality? Did they not think anything through ??
