The 6/2 profile… what it’s really like “going on the roof” (Human Design) 

33-year-old 6/2 Emo Manifestor here. Our life journeys are eerily similar. I can attest to the frustration of constant restarts in my initial phase. However, destiny practically kicked my door down after I turned 30, leading me towards my true calling of writing, music and running an environmentally-conscious business. Remarkably, after some slow but incredibly foundational years, our business skyrocketed in popularity, becoming a local favorite in just a week's time from a random opportunity that landed in our lap. I guess I just want to let others on this tough journey know that, at 33, everything finally fell into place for me, and the rhythm I discovered was far more natural and invigorating than any I had felt before. To those 6/2s, be patient, be kind, be open to imperfection, and hurry up and love the path your on already because, for us, the path to enlightenment gets to be a real blast.

It is wonderful to see your excitement of “going on the roof”! As a 73 yr. old Splenic Projector, and since you did invite comments😊, I will share some experiential insight, if I may. At this point of living through all 3 “phases”, it has dawned on me, that each phase aggregates into the next. So, the first phase will still be present, even on the roof. Projectors, even though we are all unique designs, carry both the pluses and minuses, from the previous phase, and so those are never shed when moving to the next. The challenge of gaining “new wisdom”, to add to our innate understandings, via our open centers never leaves, no matter what stage you enter. Even role models must meet these daily challenges, as they remain in our design. Still, the enthusiasm you present in going on your roof, should always, hopefully, be your compass. At this point, it has become even more apparent that the emphasis must always be to follow our main strengths, which are the inner authority and strategy. So far, it is apparent there are no magic wands to circumvent this reality. Keep your enthusiasm and enjoy the journey through the phases. Love to all !!!

6/2 generator 38 years old and I'm still seeing the veil of illusions that reality creates to give us the impression that we are safe and free, master the subjective and objective and you will be fine having great potential doesn't mean having to achieve anything beyond what you desire to achieve, many Gods are hidden, silent and unnamed doesn't make them less of gods even the lesser Gods are still Gods .

I'm a 6/2 generator and I didn't get to the roof until I turned 38. And I'm pretty sure I'll be done up here for about 4 years, hitting that 3rd phase early.

This was spot on for me. Spot tf on! I realized that who we are in essence, our power, our gift, is not in what we do (Gen) or what we make/build (Mani), it's in who we are (projectors). And I think we all have had that idea that we are meant to do something/be someone important. It's frustrating being in that 3 energy where you're still learning but feel compelled to teach. I notice that's why my endeavors never truly stuck, that and my hermit identity having imposter syndrome, real bad. But as you mention... now the imposter syndrome has less of an impact on me-- because I just dont care anymore. I know I dont know everything and everything is not going to be perfect and Im still whole and my job is to still be a role model to those who look at me as such. There was this idealization period where I was hell bent on being "correct" and that totally burned me out. But our authority isn't in being perfect, what makes us sought out the most is our imperfections a lot of times and our learned experience from those broke moments (I struggled so much financially). Doesn't matter if you look the part, speak the part, act the part-- it's in you, not on you- The best kind of role models. Thank you for validating my experience. Thank you for sharing. I've begun to feel a growing sense of peace and optimism around the future, of self-love and a great shedding of limiting beliefs. It was literally like a switch 😂 I just woke up one day and decided to stop overplanning everything, 2nd guessing myself and hiding my uniqueness. During the New Year Moon, I strolled around town in high heels and a fancy dress without a care in the world, and it was magic 🌟 To my little princess within: I know your light was dimmed early on and for so long. It wasn't safe to shine brightly. But I'm here to let you know That it really does get better. Thank you so much for sharing this! This is exactly how I feel. After struggling all my life I came to the conclusion that I just don't care anymore about people's expectations. Right now I have a lot to do with breaking out of these patterns we're conditioned to live in and actually knowing what I want, and not what others want me to do. Only now (29y/o) I am starting to think about what my heart wants after chasing a "good career" with a lot of money. I mean I still wanna live the good life, but it feels completely senseless without a higher purpose. Thank you a lot! It's so wonderful what human design can tell. (I am a manifesting generator 😊)

I'm 4/6 Emo MG, turning 28 y/o this month. I feel bored as hell for the last few days, and I see a new transition incoming. I don't feel I've had a messy life so far, I had a few messy years from age 15-23. Things settled after that. I'm married and in love, and a little anxious about the roof stage as I'm learning about it for 2 days now, haha.

6/2 Projector here and I really noticed the change right around when I turned 35. I learned a bit about Human Design 2 years before that and I was asking myself "When will I go on the roof? I'm so tired, burned out and something needs to change...😴”. I feel like I burned out hard too many times. I totally agree with the part where Ra said Projector 6/2's are less likely to make it to 30, that was almost unbearable. I feel like I'm pretty fresh to the roof and I'm already feeling things calm down, and I do care less about a lot of things like Ami said. I'm liking where this is going, and I'm excited. I'm also worried I'm gonna mess up cosmically, I guess I'll find out! If you're a 6/2 Projector 40 or under and are really struggling, I wish to let you know that in my experience, it has been worth it to go through the pain and agony. It does get better. You are enough.
