This was great. Also about a month ago you did one on 2 card combos where you highlighted leveraging differences in partners. I hope you do something similar with these mid tiers where you leverage similarities and differences. For example Cap one brings Turkish, Chase brings Southwest and Citi brings double Choice. So you can play what might interest you in each Universe but they all work together in these areas.

Hi thanks for another great video! It doesn't regard credit cards but could you please tell me what software you use to edit your videos? They are always really well-edited, clean and appealing 😊

Would love to see a video of the best cards (and rewards) when living in Europe! Avoiding AmEx (not widely accepted in Europe) and avoiding foreign transaction fees are obvious, but would love to know if there are hidden gems when it comes to rewards and multipliers which are often US based. (I.e. US gas stations and restaurants.) Best I’ve seen on my own research is a few of the Capitol One cards with 2-3x rewards on all purchases.

If I already have a capitol one credit card - am I still eligible for the venture card sign up bonus??

Could you do video on how to maximize the use of the Sapphire Preferred card? I've had it for a few years, I got it when they had the crazy 100k sign up bonus, but I don't feel like I'm really using it to it full potential or even a quarter. I'm super new to travel hacking and I'm a bit embarrassed to say that I haven't used any of the points that I have received through the chase cards. I tend to use my free cash back card most of the time, but I know this one has more to it then I use it for. I don't even get the hotel bonus, because I had such a hard time navigating the portal, so really have any guidance would be very helpful. Thanks!

I've had a Capital One Venture (C1V) card for years and now have over 223k points built up. It's a great daily spender on all categories. I didn't finally get a Chase Sapphire Preferred (CSP) until this year, when they made me a sign-up bonus offer I couldn't refuse (80k). Overall I like C1V better, but CSP definitely has its points. I would also put in a word for the Alaska Mileage Plan card, also $95 a year. Alaska points are some of the hardest to earn and the airline doesn't accept transfers from the bank cards. I live in Florida and I have family in Alaska so it made sense for me to get this card; west coast residents might consider it. They have some good airline transfer partners and some sweet spots on trans-Pacific carriers like Cathay Pacific and Air Fiji. I'm hoping to use Alaska points to get business class on LATAM to South America next year.

Marriott transfers to Alaska:) 3:1 rate but if you have a surplus of Marriott points from a sub or you catch a good transfer bonus it’s worth it.

The Choice Hotel Black card is a good $95 card if you can stomach dealing with Wells Fargo.

Who argues the CSP is the best value? It's only saved by big sign up bonuses and being the cheapest way to transfer UR points? If it wasn't for unlocking transfers or subs I'd never recommend it

The U.S. Bank Altitude Connect Card should have made this list. 4X back on travel spend without going through travel portal. That should be enough to hit the list.

Yes, but they don't have a referral program ... so they won't earn bonuses recommending viewers to that card.

In regards to Friday's newsletter, "Red Alert" is what national sirens are called. "Red Alert" is a term used globally for an emergency situation. A FLIGHT DEAL IS NOT AN EMERGENCY SITUATION. You should consider dropping "Red Alert" language from any future emails. It comes off as extremely tone deaf.

I honestly dont like this anymore because this channel only aplies to US specific cards. I get that you are a US company but you have viewers from all over the world. How about trying to find cards for the rest of the world

That wouldn't be profitable for them. They get referral bonuses from cards we sign up for.
