Very very sound advice💯 People need to stop demonizing 9-5s….at the end of the day, even when you set up your own business, you’ll need to hire people who will also work 9-5 for YOU

There is value in it, and maybe it might not be your story forever, but please please, if it wasn’t for many people’s 9-5, they would even have the stability to think creatively to start their own business. Plus! Some 9-5s (especially in project management) pay very well! You just gotta pick the right 9-5
I've not watched the video yet, but I'm going to predict that like me you've become balanced and are tired of motivational speakers, everything is hardwork and the internet needs to stop glorifying one and insulting 9-5s. The world goes round because of all of us.
😅😅 I would agree, no need to shame 9-5s at all! Some of us don’t want to work ourselves into the ground doing our own thing. Ultimately everyone just needs to do what’s best for them
Love the video! Another plus to the 9-5 that I think is overlooked quite often is that you have a narrower role, whereas if you strike out on your own you have to think about everything-running the business, marketing & sales, customer service, creating the product, etc. Sure you might be passionate about your product or service, but are you really thrilled to do EVERY aspect of the business? Probably not!
Great point to make! I definitely found this out when I started my first business! Running a business is not easy at all! And it’s also not fun at times. Tbf there will never be a role, even in a corporate environment that you will like 100% but at least at 5pm I don’t have to think about it anymore haha. There’s nothing wrong with having your own thing, but there’s also nothing wrong with a 9-5, that gives you enough balance to do something else on the side to make extra income if you wanted ✨
I am always intrigued that 9-5 is deemed as slaving away for an employer by some. The progression i have had in my 20+ years working in corporate is the reason I am where i am now. Have a plan and be strategic about moving when you need to. Plus isnt it more like 10-3/4pm these days? Great video

Working a 9-5 remotely and then building and running a business at the same time you get the best of both worlds. Keeps you busy and the dual income streams is better than 9-5 on its own.
I can see people not being happy with a 9-5 when the company really expects 9 am - 11 pm but no extra pay. If you are salary, this can mean you are actually making a lot less than if you were hourly. I see this a lot with companies that say they care about work life balance but don’t staff appropriately for their workload needs. It happens for a variety of reasons and can impact not just employees but clients due to people being stretched to thin. So it depends on where you work, the culture, and if you are able to set boundaries that are respected. If you set boundaries but you find the expectations are consistently outside of your boundaries, definitely start looking for another job. 9 to 5 or otherwise
I agree with you you, my message isn’t to get just any 9-5, that will have you working more than a 9-5 lol. It’s literally just that there are 9-5s and those roles can be pretty good hour wise with good pay Also. Ultimately it’s up to you, whether you’re self employed or work for someone else. There’s always good and bad options, so just find yourself a good one none the less !

Consistent income. Hany seen that much in my 20 years in engineering. You are allways replaceable with someone cheaper able to learn the rocket science you posess. In a way changin employer gives you serious raises you wouldnt normally get staying put. But i prefer to develope myself with good habits rather than squeeze my juises for 8 hours and procrastinate in front of ticktock the rest of the time. I want to work 12h where morning exersie is paid for picking kids to school is paid for while making sales calls sales and develop the business further at suitable windows. 6h efficient work spread out on 12 is far more relaxing than clocking for 8.
Thanks for this POV ☺️ and I agree with you. You’ve got to do what’s best with you. Not every 9-5 is a good one. I’m not saying stay in the same job all your life 😅 I actually encourage hopping around especially in the early stages in your career to jump salary and also to encourage you to up skill. Im just also saying there is nothing wrong with having a 9-5, especially if it is a high paying one, that has respectable hours and allows you to do other things outside those hours. It provides a more predictable day to day schedule for most people which helps them plan better in these in predictable times. I defo agree having a flexible schedule is a great goal to have. But not all forms of entrepreneurship provides that. Especially in the early stages when you are the ceo, marketing officer, accountant, copywriter and a host of other roles just to keep it afloat! Overall do what’s best for you! But for many people right now, they should stick to the 9-5

I think leaving their job is not a bad thing at all, but normally bad experiences is the function of the work place. We just can’t leave a job to do a business and just automatically think it’s going to be easier, you may be shocked 😅

I just came back from a trip to montenegro actually as I was thinking of leaving the U.K. because the tax that these people are collecting from me in one month is more than the average U.K. yearly salary. The thing dey pain me anyhow. I mean I actually love paying tax especially in the U.K. where you can see what the money is doing. But take 10 / 20%. 50% haba now. 🤦🏾♂️🤦🏾♂️😀😀🤣🤣 I was thinking the only way out was to leave the U.K. Please let me know if there is something you can help to do about that.
