I have a half Turkish angora senior boy who made me a first time foster failure. At the rescue he was all but mute except for chattering with other cats. Once he was in my home he was chatty like he was starring in an Oprah interview special. That never ended😂 He had much to say and decided I was the one who needed to hear it. All of it. Perhaps he sensed my occupation and thought his grievances would get a fair shake (I’m a judge)😉🤣 His talking eventually became his primary method of wrangling humans so he didn’t have to go upstairs (which he could easily do at age 10 and healthy). He trained us all very well. He yowled and humans materialized as if by some dark magic. Now his willingness to groom himself is another story. He’s super lazy and just doesn’t. And won’t let me do it either (he really, really won’t). It leads to shaving out mats. We’re still working on it.

Russian Blue. I had 2 and they NEVER shut up. 12am, 3am. 6am, and all day long. Best thing is to keep them awake all day

My Siberian loved to talk after a trip outside- we think she was describing all her adventures outside in detail, often also asked questions, very intelligent and graceful cat.

The most talkative breed of cat is any that you talk to. Cats talk a lot and if yours doesn't answer, you just haven't asked the right questions.

4/9 of the cats are either Siamese, bred with Siamese, bred from the Siamese, or is half Siamese xD

My roommates have a Siamese but she never meows until they go on vacation and it’s my responsibility to feed her. She knows exactly what she’s doing.

I have a Burmese and a Ragdoll. The Burmese is tiny but has a louder meow. The Ragdoll is large but has put all his loudness points into purring so when he meows it's like, the tiniest little squeak.

Bro you shoulda put sphinx on the list. I got one and he speaks so many times. He even says things that sound like words. Like he says “food” and my name(sort of) he can say blanket as well as other words. I did not train him to be like that. He also says cat things and the like. He chitters at everything

I have Bombay (half Burmese) and she's the chattiest little lady! Sometimes I even have full on conversations with her!

I had a Russian blue for 17 years. He passed away 10 years ago. I took cancer treatments for a couple months before he passed. He would wait for me to come home. When I went to lay down he would lay down beside me with his head on the pillow. He would stay there. He would wake us up at 6 an every morning to eat. He passed away a week after my treatments were over. He was there for me the whole time. I miss hm. I have 2 Maine coons that follow us all the time. They want to be where we are.

My lady Dr Funk is a brown tabby and I have never met a cat who talks more than that sister and she sounds like an engine being started up nonstop… I love it so much

True, some breeds are much more chatty than the other. But if you have a good bond with your cat they will be talkative regardless XD

Russian blue should have been on the list. While theyre normally pretty quiet, god forbid if youre in a room she isn't in or if you miss scheduled meals she will not shut up if her life depended on it.

My Japanese bobtail barely talked for 7 years and though she talks a *_little_* more now she still barely ever talks and when she does it sounds like a little kitten.

I have a Bengal kitten and for those first few weeks, he would literally yell in the hallway at 3am. He loves the sound of his voice. 😂 we have actual conversations throughout the day.

I'm glad to have known and cared for a Thai cat. I wish I could repeat my years with my little guy!

It's not the Turkish Angora cat that loves water - that would be the Turkish Van cat (another race)

When I was a kid we had this very chatty tortoise cat. She did multi syllable meows like meowowowow.

I've got a Bengal and she talks a LOT! Her meows run the gambit from silent when I'm petting her, to LOUD when she's trying to get my attention. Heaven forbid I should talk to my neighbor when my cat decides I should be petting her instead. She has so many different meows and I love them all!

My mom have a huge and fluffy black cat (no specific breed) and he never talks or meows, NOTHING. Just little almost silent one second squeacks when it's feeding time. The rest of the time he stares at you.

I have a Bengal-mix who is a nonstop talker. I love having “conversations” with him.

Our Tonkinese is an intense talker. She loves cuddles, kisses and playtime.

Maine Coons are not talkative, they're very quiet. They softly trill, but do not hardly ever meow or make noise ffs! Turkish Angora and Siberians are also not that talkative, they are average in cat sounds. This list is absurd when you added some of the quietest cat breeds, but never mention- Cornish Rex, Devon Rex, Balinese, or Sphynx!

Had a Korat with probably a bit of Siamese in him. The only thing I know him for is one sound, for a million times: *MAAAAAH.*

We have a mixed Siamese and she's not very talkative but our Tortie is very talkative.

Very true about Japanese Bobtail. My guy is so chatty he is so vocal about what he wants. Always meowing at me to tell me he's hungry or wants to play or go outside.

My Hinata is an Egyptian Mau very chatty mix a Egyptian Mau Bengal very vocal and affectionate her brothers are Cornish Rex Bengal Egyptian Mau Mix Krïm and Callaghan and the older cat Sai-Cookie a Calico Torti not as chatty unless she wants your pets and attention Egytian Mau are graceful long body smaller head to torso and loves water

You miss Tortieshell cats. My Tortie always Loved to talk to me. I so Loved our chats.

Turkish Angora cats do not like water, Turkish Van cats do and love to swim

Try having a tabby with the shape and voice of an Asian cat. The black cat and the normal tabby let her to all the pestering come food time.

I have a rescued Japanese Bobtail and a rescued Siamese cross cat. Both are incredibly chatty. My siamese girl is almost always chatting with me its hilarious. My Japanese Bobtail cat has the sweetest voice. It's so soft and delicate but when he wants to play bow can he yowl.

I had a little orange cat show up on my porch. I checked the neighborhood and no one claimed her so she lives with us. We figured she might be a year old. She meows soooo much. She stays outside most of the day. She'll wait all day to come in and use the littlr box!! She has about 40 acres she could use!!! Why would she do that?? Anyone know?? 🤔🧐🥺🙄
