Stockton is an all time great defender! If Rauf beat him so bad, imagine what he would do in todays game.

Y'all just love to assume things. Stockton was "great" defender back in the day. If Rauf could do this to him, imagine a bigger and have more complete offensive game like Steph, Dame, Booker to him

It's interesting how the anti-zone rules does not allow the defense to move and set traps correctly, but at the same time they were more physical, the off-ball offense couldn't run their "routes" with such freedom. The NBA only needs to allow physicality and the game would improve so much, zones + physical defense, that way only the very best could score over 25 points per game (in other words, the Trae Youngs would be overwhelmed)

@KHJ4D

Thats the opposite lol. Trae Young would average 40 without the zone. We done with the 90s. 😂
@RRRRRRRRR33
@RRRRRRRRR33 6 месяцев назад
@@KHJ4D Naah, the extra on ball pressure would disrupt his game for sure, especially if hand checking was allowed. Trae is extremely weak and his speed is not that great, he would struggle a lot. There's plenty of weaker players in the NBA today who are only being productive because the rules are soft
@KHJ4D
@KHJ4D 6 месяцев назад
@@RRRRRRRRR33 the handchecking is still around. U a fool if u thing its not. The game now is much faster and have more quality individually and collectivelly. If u put any star of any team with their current skill set, they would dominate, in contrary if u put any player in 90 beside MJ shaq or Hakeem, with their skill set at their time and play in this era, they would be average. Thats fact. Same principal if u put the 60s to play in the 90s. It would be laughable.

Bro, they weren't dumbasses incapable of learning. It's just was very rare and unique at the time so caught them off guard. It's the same with 2014 Spurs and GSW after that toying with teams with their ball movement and motion offenses when everyone were playing insanely static offenses compared to them. It takes some time for other teams to catch up but nowadays everyone are playing small ball and chuging thress and there are multiple of teams successfully using a lot of the those Spurs and GSW concepts as the base of their offenses with prime example being Pacers and Kings. Use some common sense please.

You don't seem to understand that one well laid out cross is better than some person spamming crossovers hoping they work. Mahmoud's shifts in speed and the off beat movement are what is disrupting the defenders rhythm. (I don't refer to Steph as the guy who spams crosses. Despite how many combos he throws out all of them are super effective moves isolated as well that's why he is one of the best ball handlers of all time)

I was born in Seattle in 1973, where I grew up. Sonics and Blazers fan, Japanese-American and male. Of course I hate how he KILLED the Sonics with his shooting in the 1993-94 playoffs. But objectively, he was so fun to watch!

Went woke? Are u slow? He was just Muslim. Religion is much more than just some personal hobby u do outside work. That is a serious aspect of a man’s life that u don’t just put to the side. Do u hear what u just said? People die behind their religious beliefs. This country and this game don’t exist without the basis of religion. Ain’t nothing woke about that man’s beliefs. If u don’t stand high in your beliefs in your god then u aren’t really as devoted as u say u are. He stood on his principals and they tarnished him for it. He worships a higher purpose first and foremost, NOT a flag. If that was enough for him to be persecuted then so be it. It wasn’t worth it for him to be apart of something if he can’t express his religious beliefs in a country that claims to want that constitutional right for Eveyone.
