ahhaha I think i agree! Never driven 718 but looks of 981 are so good!

I had the rare opportunity to drive the 718 Spyder back to back with a 981 Spyder when the 718 was brand new. I won’t disparage the 718, as it’s also amazing and has a better power band out the box than the 981. But the 981 stole my heart with its more raucous on-road behavior. Better angry noise, better (stiffer) clutch feel, and a much more lively suspension, all made it my choice that day. It’s now firmly entrenched in my stable as my only “forever” car.
