I think the slow pans and such really add to the video. It also seems you can catch all of the important parts of the map in one view.

If the map is small enough I can manage to see most things, I discovered that I start to struggle on things like Black Forest though, that's when its getting too wide to see everything. In particular a game I casted today that someone else played, that covered a lot more of the map than it usually does. Also two ways is an issue BUT usually combat only happens at one side of that and the middle so its easier.

I see that people are having mixed feelings about the more cinematic camera. Personally I like the new style though, just needs a little more experimenting. Maybe a bit less constant panning, while staying zoomed in on a battle scene, for example.. hmm

Mostly positive thankfully, but my worry about this was always making people feel dizzy. I had hoped the smoother movement with the controller would limit this compared to moving with the mouse. I watch them back and try to assess myself but I don't really get motion sickness from that. Hopefully the people who feel this way and let me know can advise exactly which movements make them feel that way. I rotate mainly to get better angles on the action otherwise there's little point in zooming in. But I suspect speed of camera movement matters more. The truth is I know I won't be able to please every single person so I just try to find a balance.

Cheers for showing these games but pls stop moving the camera in such a disorienting manner. Getting sea sick watching this

Yes sadly its very difficult to please everyone with this, some people like zooming in and movement some dislike it for the very reason you mention. Can you explain the exact movement which is having an effect on you? It would help if I knew what to avoid.

@@Bandanner Yes i can see that, happy to have the discussion! Mainly the rotating is the thing that gets me. 1:40-4:40 is constant rotating. Zooming in is fine and neccesary, just not used to games where the camera keeps rotating to a new perspective - been watching starcraft esports since 2010.

@@cHzism Ok super! That's helpful thank you. What about generally like moving around, side to side and forwards and backwards rather than rotation? Is that generally ok? And does speed of the rotation make a difference? Aka is it less of an issue if its slow vs fast?

@@Bandanner Only rotation, might be that I'm used to fixed camera angles from other games. I do notice it more when its fast and the camera is up high. Not so much an issue when you're already zoomed in. Really those minutes I pointed out that showcase it - just abit too much imo.
