Todays outing saw us visit an abandoned Bromine factory on the beautiful coastline in Anglesey. The owners shut down this facility around 2004 & a slow decay along with some vandalism has seen this place descend into a bit of an eyesore. With lots of internal belongings still visible, it made for a very interesting day and a feeling of sadness in why it was abruptly abandoned as it was.

Industrial dereliction at it's finest unfortunately the vandals have been very busy. Another great visit Mark and from my first visit to this there is a marked increase in the vandalism unfortunately 😮. Fantastic photo's, video work and drone footage 👏 👌🏻.

Much appreciated Richard. Yes, it is sad how people can vandalise these places.😏🙏👍

Some interesting subjects there Mark, surprising that so much has been left. Anglesey has such an interesting industrial heritage. I used to work at Associated Octel at Stanlow Refinery, they made additives for petrol there. A dangerous environment for the unwary

Thanks Peter. Yes, we met a bloke who visits there every day bird watching & had a good 15 minutes chat with him as he used to work here. He was in work when a fire broke out, which made the news apparently. Very interesting talking to him & he explained all the dangers.🙏👍

Interesting footage, whatever vandals may have done can be no worse than the mess left by the company that ran the place total bloody eyesore and for sure Bromine is not nice!

Thanks Iain. Yes, an American company had it before leaving in 2004, and as you say, we found it hard to believe the state they left it in.🤔🙏👍

Quite local to here, visited this site twice this year really interesting to have a walk about. Seeing you're into photography I'd definitely recommend locations like Baron Hill or the Llanberis Bomb Shelter. Great video just earned a sub 👍

It's a massive place!( almost as big as Amlwch), pity the owners are not made to restore the site to pristine coastline?

Yes absolutely. The state they left it in was shocking to see & has sadly become an eyesore to the beautiful coastline of Anglesey 🥲
