Welcome to the channel. I am a hobbyist photographer who decided to record my outings for my friends & family to enjoy looking back on my travels. The videos & my style are the simplest of simples as you accompany me for the day seeing the scenic locations I visit & offer my personal views on hot topics on social media with just an honest appraisal as I see it in today’s society, something not to be confused with criticism. Thanks for stopping by & hope you enjoy a video or two, thank you.
Ahhh your killing me with thease views mate, can your next video be visually un interesting, just for one video lol. AI is a tool like all the tools in lightroom, when used correctly it will enhance the photo, I did it with a photo of a dam I took, the council put a load of signs around the place, so I edited them out, still leaving the photo pretty much as it should have been. Without the removal it wouldn't have worked as well. Photography vlogs are the way to go for real images, like you said you can see the conditions are real. great photos and drone footage as always mate, and I loved the framing for the chat too
Hi Mark and Hello Richard !! Kelly here, I very much enjoyed photos, footage and the chat. I live on the flat praries in Canada and would never have had the oppurtunity to be immursed in, and describe my surroundings as " Atmospheric". Loved it !! See you next time😊
Hi Kelly, we are very lucky where we live in respect to having access to both mountains & the coast, which in turn, will bring various weather conditions. Thank you very much & glad you enjoyed it.🙏👍😊
Another great vlog of our exploring quarries. It was a great day and the un-forecast low cloud sea mist made it very atmospheric. Here’s to the next 👌.
Hi mark, Kelly Here, I Have been consumed with an ongoing project which delayed my veiwing of this video. Just finished watching and wow what contrast between the excavation and structures. Beautiful!! Looking forward to the next one, and as always love the chat😊
Cracking footage of an amazing place. You could do underground trips at one time, very wet and you came out looking like you had been dipped in mustard.
Great video Mark, another cracking location, I am starting to think the reason your videos only come out every two or three weeks, is because you are busy building these locations lol. I'm with you on the subscriber count, I was a little anoyed when I released a macro video about a year or so ago and I got a lot of subscribers from it, so much so, I split my macro from my landscape channels because I didn't want them affecting my metrics, but I couldn't keep up with the 2 channels, I knew they wouldn't watch regularly because they subscribed for that one video at the time. Like you said views is a better metric to count, I would rather have only 1 subscriber but a million views than have a million subscribers and no views. Love your talks Mark always thought provoking.
Thank you very much Keith 🙏. Haha 😂. You have caught me out lol 😂 building all these locations 👌. The next video will have taken some building lol. Should be out in a few weeks 👍. Thanks again for your continued support Keith.🙏👍
Beautiful area Mark, that drone footage was great, you must have a good drone 😂, You can usually tell the “Photographers” from the Photographers, they pump out the same S**t over and over and nothing changes, my pet peeve is people taking sunrise shots and 8000 photos of the same photo on a different day later and they think they are an expert because everyone thinks sunrise is awesome so everyone gives it the thumbs up and they no nothing about photography, which boost egos lol.
Haha thanks Keith 👌, yes I do have a good drone lol 😂. Yes, I know what you mean. The more you think about it, the more things come to mind 😃😂. Cheers Keith, looking forward to the next videos👍
What a wonderful day, and the colours in the water superb. lovely shots and as always love the drone footage. You get the feeling with some people that Cameras are a form of Male Jewellery.
Thanks for that Mark and a reminder to look after our historic places. I visited last year when ?I was staying nearby. When somebody cooks you a nice dinner you don't ask what oven they used do you, some folk just don't get photography do they
Another excellent vlog Mark great drone footage and I didn't press record on my drone whilst flying through the arch lol 😂. Great images too my friend, and at last summer and decent weather great day out 👌👍
Cheers for that Mark, next time down I will go and have mooch about. Thomas Heaton 562000 subs, recent vlog 61K views but only 5.5k likes. You have a better percentage hit rate.
Great drone footage Mark, your vlogs are definitely different than most YT photographers including myself. It’s the key to YT, be unique, you have your own style and people with watch for that style, with YT creators like myself that follow a similar style to others, I think it becomes about the presenter and how good they are, (I’m out of luck there) 😅. 👍🏻 is a good idea.
Thanks Keith, yes I totally agree with you with regards being yourself etc. I think it's a simple solution to show support rather than a meaningless subscription. Look forward to your next video pal, stay safe 👍
Great drone footage, great chat and great photos, that's the formula for a a great video. I Unfollowed not unfriended, everyone on Facebook except my Family and close friends, And I put everyone on my Public only list except friends, so anything personal I post, only my friends see and everything public is for everyone else.
I think at 7.30 is the best view of the old workshops and hangars where they used to build the flying boats in WW2 and launch them straight across the road into the water. (The road wasn't as busy then 😆😆) Nice footage bro.
Excellent drone work Mark 👌. Great images too. It was a shame the vlog had to be trimmed but it is what it is my friend 🙃. Great day out if a little muddy 😉.
Is the drone footage at the start the place where you were supposed to be going? Cracking drone footage mark, would have made a great location to shoot at if it was, I’m assuming you still have the footage and photos you took just no posted them?
Hi Keith, yes thats Baron Hill mansion ruins. You are correct, I still have all the photos for my Private timeline & the original video on an external hard drive for the family when I’m no longer around. Shame as it’s a good one lol😄😂👍
Yes, it’s all down to all the vandalism, theft & above all else, as you have touched on, health & safety as he would be liable. There were signs up around in the past, but the vandals kept ripping them down .
Thanks Garry. Look forward to seeing it. Never seen as much water at Fairly falls as in this video as usually when I have been previously it’s just been a trickle.👍
Hi Paul, the first is just over the bridge at Llanwrst on the way to Trefriw & the second is In Trefriw as you walk up past the old wooden mill. Hope this helps 👍
Hi Mark, a lot of history in your videos mate. I love watching the drone shots, you almost get an idea on how people lived and worked. I’ve never joined any clubs for photography, the only reference to improving is RU-vid comments and my own opinion. Photos you put on most social media are one sided by people who don’t really know anything about photography, I’ve seen some horribly composed photos and over exposed or over saturated put on SM and the comments are always, what a wonderful photo etc. so I tend to measure my success by my own work lol.
Thanks very much Keith. I feel for my documentation style, the drone is an important addition to give the wider landscape of the journey. Yes, for me, it’s about getting out on a regular basis & learning as you go on what works for you, & what doesn’t. Thanks for watching & your interaction Keith, much appreciated mate.🙏👍
Stunning locations as always Mark. One question, were the two falls and the mill on one track or were they all separate. Next time I'm in that part of the world I'd love to check them out.
Thank you very much. No the waterfalls are two separate locations which are close by. One (Gray Mare’s tail) is just outside Llanrwst on the way to Trefriw, which is where you’ll find the second one.🙏👍
Loving the Drone shots too. "I had to create an equivalent for what I felt I was looking at-- not just copy it". Georgia O'Keeffe. There is a great essay on line about Equivalence by Minor White.
Another good video Mark. Rumour has it that the two buildings in Maenofferen (pronounced “Maen - o - ffer en” btw) are going to be rebuild as part of the heritage slate trail and be a sort of museum. Not 100% sure on that rumour though but it would be good to think that they’re going to do that.
We did this walk back in the summer except we stayed on the Stwlan Dam side of Moelwyn Mawr and went round to Rhosydd. We also flew our drones above the dam and went to look out over Porthmadoc between the Moelwyns. Strange coincidences. Thanks for sharing Mark.
I think that was our plan to John, but we went wrong, which I am putting down to the conditions 😀..thats my excuse anyway 😂. We will be doing this again this year so hopefully experience what you saw. Thanks for watching & your interaction John, much appreciated 👍🙂
Great video Mark, loving the drone shots, that waterfall looks amazing, the waterfalls near me are nowhere near as impressive. The locations are superb as usual, lovely chat mate, if you compair my videos and my locations to yours your part of the country is like being abroad to me lol. Great selection of photos too, look forward to the next one.
Don't tell me, you took the wrong turning onto the A55. Such a drive around to Wastwater as well, shame that Scafell and Scafell Pike were covered in clag. great footage and shots Mark.
Haha, no, although Ellis was driving this time & he’d be the first to admit we were lucky not to do that lol.🤣. Yes, it was a long drive around to Wast Water from here, but it turned out to be well worth it in the end, Cheers Iain.🙏👍
