The Abandoned Street & Houses Of Lincoln Way In Clairton, Pa. About 10 years ago, everyone moved away from their homes leaving just about all of their belongings behind. Now the street and homes lay in ruins. Some even burned completely to the ground. Others falling apart and caving in from sink holes. Enjoy our exploration of these creepy homes that once used to be nice.

My grandparents lived in Lincoln Way. Their house was actually part of the video; the next to last house with the sea mist green paint and french doors. The community was not forced to evacuate or leave in a hurry. The residents of the street were older and simply either moved away or passed away.

These have been abandoned for a while, but I heard in the last year the police were more vigilant to get trespassers off that street. For a long time no one paid attention, but then a rash of vandalism and fires caused the crack down. I have heard of people being there for 15 minutes and the police show up. Apparently where you park gets the attention and people call the police. If you walk in after parking far enough away you have better chance of being noticed. Would have been cool to see these structures prior to all of the vandalism.
@WallieB26
@WallieB26 7 лет назад
Oh I know how bad it's gotten. We parked somewhere far enough away and then we walked all the way up to this road. We know what our chances were of getting caught. We got scared because as we first started walking up the hill, right after I began filming, a really nice Camaro stopped at the entrance to the road where the barricades where and we thought perhaps it was a cop in his personal car. We just decided to go about our business and hope for the best. We didn't damage anything or vandalize anything. We simply went out to film and that's what we would have told the police if it came to it. Anyway, all was good.

I read the comments and all the theories, but I was on that street somewhere around the mid to late 70s and it looked like everyone left immediately. Looking through windows there was still food on counters in the process of being prepared, I was there well before there was any vandalism. Some of the houses still had cars in the driveway, but no people, right up above it on the hill everything seemed normal. This was one of the strangest things I ever saw. I think I must have been there right after they left. I think I remember there was one man still living at the last house or end of the street. I could be wrong, it was a long time ago. Some say they feared a leak from the mill was toxic and they had to leave immediately. That explanation seems logical. I wonder why no family members ever talked about it. I never heard anything till watching this video.

I would like to say thanks for all the videos you allowed us to watch. I'm a big fan of history I believe your videos are apart of history. Your videos bring History to Life for all ages to watch. We don't see these types of videos on TV. I think that's why I like your RU-vid channel so much. I hope one day your channel can make it big so other people can see it. I like how you explain things in your videos. I can't say it enough I love your videos. Now it's time for a beer. Thank you keep up the good work.

Brandon McClain Well thank you so much for the kind words. I try to do my best when I film. I'm not professional like some of the bigger RU-vidrs that know how to add background music, etc. But I do try. I like to try and cover as much as I can safely and put as much as I can onto video. I like watching my own videos, too, to see what I can do better in the next one. Urban exploration is a really fun hobby for me. And with you guys subscribing and liking the videos, it just fuels that passion to do more. So thanks so much! Enjoy that beer. This area is now torn down. The people left there homes due to very high taxes , there homes were actually taxed in Jefferson boro instead of being based in clairton. Allegheny county is way over taxing and all of the towns in it learned to over tax also. Now the entire mon valley has lost younger people and rely on the seniors.

We didn't see any garages except for possibly the first house at the bottom of the hill that we couldn't explore due to the insanely overgrown weeds. It's probably in there. I wanted to explore it but there was really no "safe" way to get inside. It's not even so much the weeds, we were just worried about snakes and ticks which have been bad this year. I plan to go back in Fall/Winter once the weeds die so I can explore that one.

Wow the people who owned these old houses didn't really have them updated to modern styles/standards much and kept all of their old furniture/appliances. Can't blame them since things are not made the way they used to be, to last for many years. I'm open to both science and supernatural you did mention that you saw a weird mist earlier in the video. It could've been moister in the air or possibly a ghost.

The reason why they left is because there was planned to be a extension of a highway to the main road. They evicted the residents thinking that their houses would be torn down.

The killer in all of this is that the city left it untouched.

Hey Wallie. Do you know of any truth behind the neighborhood being bulldozed? I was about to make a 4 hour trip to do an Exploration of it ( I also do UrbanEx ) but seen in another video that it was all taken down.

Unfortunately yes, it’s all gone. I went there back in November to find an empty, barren hillside.
