A viewer was kind enough to send me a copy of the Abide Bible (NET) by Thomas Nelson. Here are my thoughts on it! NOTE: The Abide Bible is available in the NKJV translation and a number of other formats as well. This particular edition I reviewed is available at - tinyurl.com/22ek67ts

I stumbled on your page while searching for a review of the Abide Bible, so far your review is the best one for what's inside. Thank you for not discussing paper, binding, or whatever else they normally do. I can't wait to binge-watch your page. Totally loved your intro pic "The Dude Abides" 🤣😂

Are you sure it's not that Phil Collins? Phil was in Genesis, and Genesis is in the bible. A coincidence ? I will let you decide. Blessings Bill

Thanks JM. For what’s it worth, I think you were very fair. I have this Bible and use it in the way you outlined. No one Bible does everything so accepting the Abide Bible as what it’s designed to be works well. It is a beautiful Bible and IMO, the NET is a good translation to read. Thanks for a great review. 😊🇦🇺

Good review! I have this Bible and love it mostly (I admit) for the artwork. Likewise, I wish there was more! I have an aunt who was rather a famous artist, who’s work is in every major art museum in NYC as well as in museums all over the world-Europe, Israel, and in various art collectors personal collections. So, I grew up having a love for art. I agree, that it’s a good Bible to have for devotional reading-just as you said. 👍

I got one. Its all about the john 15 4, abiding in him for fruit bearing. It nurtures the readers to get into the shoes of that very particular scripture. For ex Ezekiel 47, making the readers to visualize the knee level, hip level anointing by exercising the faith. It is not a study bible, it makes efforts to abide in christ. To reason the NET translation one has to buy Full notes edition, we shouldn't expect notes along with abide sections in this bible, then it would be 4000 + pages. So full notes edition has its own purpose, and abide bible is all about I in you and You in me. Remember Gen 6:3 says God spirit cannot abide in us and his plan is fulfilled in John 15:4 through Christ. What a herculean task and the mission accomplished. God bless phil collins. Thank you for doing this review I have probably watched 50+ videos this week and stumbled on your video I learned more in this video alone. All I want is a Bible I haven’t read a Bible in years and something being pulling me towards the Bible and read to understand, well I didn’t know it was so many translations

Loving your Review of this NET Abide Bible. I have it in the soft pretend leather cover. I've not used it a great deal, but find it to be one of my Bibles that I will seek to spend more time in. I'm glad I purchased this one!

I have nkjv abide Bible - not sure if it's the same as I,um haven't abided in it yet LOL! print size and art didn't grab me at the time and I had other Bibles I was more drawn to. I do like NET translation though- I'm using the Love God Greatly NET Bible - not so much for the SOAP method and articles but for the extra writing space! those pages come in handy to put sticky notes over! well just finished the review and I think I'm gonna hunt mine up LOL!. I've justnever really known what to 'do' with art...

@@DiscipleDojo hmm I'll try LOL! music I hear the words and hopefully the tune matches the 'mood' of those words- art I see colors unless there's something that makes sense like Jesus on the cross is 'real' - some art is just colors to me. I guess I'm not good at abiding LOL! but I'm gonna try!!!

Editions of the NET Bible that leave out the translator notes are a valiant effort to make "fetch" happen, I suppose. But it's one of the translations that seems to lose much of its identity when the notes are taken away, much like the NKJV, the NABRE, or the [New] Jerusalem Bible. I guess the NET remains unique simply for being the most prominent Evangelical version to translate Isaiah 7.14 properly (or improperly, depending on your view of that issue).

I ordered the NKJV in brown leathersoft. I’m waiting for it to arrive. It has words of Christ in red. So to answer your question, it is available in the NKJV. And 3 different covers. Thanks for your great review ! God bless! 💜✝️🙏🏻

The Abide Bible and the Abide Scripture Journals…. Are the prompts, reflections the exact same in each (bible and journal)? Trying to decide if I just need the Journals or if I need the Bible also? Thank you for all your reviews and help!

Amazing . Thanks love Van Gogh also . Would you believe ? Many blessings to you and yours . I think Van Gogh may would have been better off being a preacher . Sometimes I wonder did this bother him .

Given how the Church officials of his day treated him and those he was seeking to minister to, I'm not surprised he chose art over preaching, sadly.
