This was no secret to me the issue is you get pop discount that you generally wont use do to fuel constraints not manpower, and having a vehicle out faster is more useful to maintain income overall.
I agree with what you said. However, this ability scales really well in late game. I feel that it is a bit harder to get the 5-6 Chaffee critical mass without it. When I get the Chaffee to 6 usually don’t loose many tanks when diving in(usually 1 Chaffee for a tiger with a p3). Also, we can get way with the loosing tempo in team game even in 2s. Edit: what I was trying to say is that the passive has is good in some situations.
Biggest reason not to choose SIS is just because the ability for power spiking with LV / tanks much more faster than ever before, especially with 10s buildable Ez8 without waiting for the CP requirement.
For the initial E8, yes, but subsequent E8s will become a lot more expensive without the SiS passive, as each E8 has 28 upkeep (compared to Tiger with 40). The SiS becomes more appealing, particularly when the Axis player stalls for the Panthers and we can't really finish them off. I think this ability will be a lot effective in 2v2 and larger team games, as it is easier to stalling in these game modes
I had always gone for Strength in Steel not even realizing it also represented an upkeep discount. Lately in 1v1s I have been hit by Greyhound rushes a lot as Axis so I'd been thinking the quick construction ability would be better. But in team games that tend to go longer and have less individual impact per player, it does look like SiS is the way to go.
Yep! I've played several games since the patch was released, and I find that the E8 spam strategy is strong. Rushing directly to the E8 didn't work well for me, so I went with AT, Greyhounds, and ISC upgrades for riflemen. By the time I got tier 4 building, I had everything in the BG unlocked, including War Machine and Strength in Steel (SiS). Then it is a lot easier at that point since I could have two to three E8s and still be able to afford 3-4 riflemen squad. These are just my experience in 3s and 4s so far. Lmk how the Battlegroup goes for you post patch.
@@WilllTHENOOBz since the nerfs hit, for me the e8 became a pack animal. a lone one doesnt really shine. But two, a 105 , a spotter greyhound plus Search and destroy buff? Thats a game ending push, altough more micro intensive than the skill planes
@@hanswurst-h3e E8 blob are so much fun to use. With 200 pen at close range and 840 HP each, the E8 can catch the axis tanks off guard mow them down consistently!
