Beauty RU-vid is my “me time”. I love luxury makeup. As a homeschooling mom of five littles (also never thought that label would describe me!!), I wake up early, throw on some beauty RU-vid, and do my makeup for the day. Some moms wake up early to meditate, workout, whatever… I put on a full face - for myself 😂. I found you this year and one morning one of my daughters walked in, saw you, said “they’re wearing beautiful eyeshadow” and went on about her day. Happy to have you here and a small part of my days!

I love everything about this, from the mushy intro to the Barbe A Papa x Poltergeist/ dance remix song to the excellent mini reviews of so many great products! Btw, I have been on a constant hair journey since age 13 & my last real escapade was when i dreaded my hair back in 2017 (😅). In early 2019 someone angrily educated me over on fb (back when I still used it) so I cried a lot & spent 3 days destroying my hair taking them out. Since then my hair didn't want to grow much at all (being severely ill probably didn't help!) BUT I just today was sitting on the porcelain throne (sorry tmi) & felt something near my crack & freaked out thinking it was a spooder. Nope. It was my hair! I somehow didn't realize it had gotten so long all of a sudden!! 💀💀💀😏

For shaving - the original shave cream from cremo as well as the tree hut oil have both been absolute miracle workers for my disgustingly fragile and sensitive skin without compromising the closeness of the actual shave (if anything they make it better) plus they're both cheap
I've started using, of all things, water-based lubricant. It's super smooth & leaves my skin feeling soft - glycerine is an ingredient my skin absolutely loves.

That damn Chanel blush… told myself I didn’t need another blush (I have a bunch of the RdF mauve/ purple crème ones) I held out till it was sold out everywhere in Australia. Then spotted it in one lone Chanel counter in Doha airport. 10hrs is a long layover and I finally gave in and bought it. It’s summer here and I still don’t care, it’s such a perfect colour. Now I want the stick thingy in Dragee which is sold o everywhere here!

I have very sensitive skin, so I struggle with razor burn. Shaving creams do not do it for me. I have to use conditioner as a shaving cream, and it is life-changing. Also, when I have razor burn, I treat it like a sunburn, so I use aloe. It really seems to help a lot more than anything else I’ve tried.

hair story dry shampoo is excellent for grittiness in hair- in case you ever want to try it! i put it in at the roots of my hair and depending on the amount i feel like i could. like. sculpt my hair. dunno if that makes sense 😅

I’m gonna repost what I said on kackie’s best of video, because I mean every word; you two have literally been such bright spots in what has been a dark year and to have this escape has been everything, and my year really did have me quoting you both, devouring the podcast and rethinking my attitude towards makeup and also getting me excited about it again where my health tried to stop me. ‘I’ve been stuck at home in bed most of this year due to my disabilities, and I genuinely mean this with all of my heart when I say yours and Tom’s content, and the podcast have been a huge part of my happiness and wellbeing this year. I feel like Surratt designed the dew drop concealer to be such high coverage so that you can use it with the dew drops and really make it look like you have dewy perfect skin because the finish of both of the products are the same, which is kinda cool, just the applicator is a little too big
I’m so happy you mentioned that you think shade 3 is the right color for you in the Dew Drop concealer. I went and got shade matched the other day and 3 ended up being the right color for me and I was shocked since I’ve always seen you mixing 1 and 2 so I just expected I’d need to do that too 🤣🤣🤣🤣

Just like them, I LOVE the Surratt Dew Drop foundation and concealer but I think my foundation package is defective :( The pump bubble on the back does not come up anymore and product is not coming out. Did you have the same problem? I have to try to open it and use the product up some forceful way ....
Holy crap with the VB special appearance ⚰️⚰️⚰️😂😂😂 I have oily eyelids too, still trying to make the VB eyeliners stay on my eyes. I have bronze & cocoa & bronze especially just disappears in an hour. I set with powder, still disappears.
