Launch mode works best in Baja mode. The transmission starts in 1st gear in this mode, otherwise it is a 2nd gear start. Being honest, my best times were almost always without launch control.

I watched somebody experiment with launch control, the RPM’s got to be set between 1700 to 2200 for best results. His best time was 3.5 seconds! But he’s very experienced with Hellcats and mopar.

You can order under MSRP at certain dealers if you can bear the wait. I waited 8 months for my custom ordered 2022 TRX. 99K sticker fully loaded and saved 9K off that sticker price when I signed. It was worth the wait. Love this truck!

To use launch control, you have to stomp on the brakes much harder (pedal all the way to the floor board). In launch control mode the engine during brake boosting will also sound different before the vehicle launches.

Zero to 60 in 4 sec, zero to happy in .9 seconds...Priceless!! Congrats!!!

You need to lower rpm. You’re blowing through your brakes at the higher rpm’s. So LC is never engaging. Try 1800-2100

Less rotational mass = faster. If you want fast lose the heavy wheels and AT tires. Otherwise enjoy it off road where it was meant to live.

I just traded my Gen 2 2017 Raptor for a 2022 TRX w/level 2 pckg . The TRX had 1600 miles and stickered for 93,565. An amp hydraulic running board and a set of 22 xd wheels w/recon grappler tires had been added after the fact. They sold me the TRX for 95,895 and showed me 53,000 trade in for the Raptor. I live in the panhandle of Florida and found this truck in Tn. I couldn’t even come close to those numbers around here.

I had a 502 rwh 03 Ford Mustang SVT Cobra with just bolt ons with a ported and polished blower with Pullies and and and lol. But a intake really made that supercharger scream ! Diggin your TRX to that thing is sweet man !

I think putting an intake on would definitely make the supercharger whine louder, If i was you i would do intake and exhaust at the same time and get a little extra power while your at it 👍

I got a JMB intake sent to me in the UK and if you want to here the supercharger whine, you will not be disappointed, my god its loud, worth every penny and really easy to install !!

Love the truck although ANY new truck is out of my price range now. Lower the tire weight will help. Try not so wide. 10.5 wide on 20s will be about 35% lighter at least. If it lowers it any just put a minor lift on it, like 2 inch. Most of those aren't too high and I'd say you could do it but...let someone else do it right...haha. I guess I'll stick with my 2005 Silverado with the 5.3 sitting on a 4 1/2 inch lift with 10.5s on 17s from Anthem Offroad. You want launch control with under 4 seconds. I just wish I could get mine to pass a gas station without having to stop at these prices..lol. Keep the content coming. We're waiting for that exhaust upgrade. Too bad FI doesn't do RAM.

Thank you for admitting you paid over for it. I paid over for mine also and I feel like most other people have but wont say they did. My completely stock TRX does 3.9 0-60 and the launch control is hit or miss you're not alone there or doing anything wrong that I know of. If you figure out how to make it consistent let us know. To make your whine louder you need a CAI. I personally ordered a Bwoody. They offer the loudest whine. Most other people go with the AFE because it grabs more cold air but not as loud of a whine however still louder than stock.

Mannnnn I love that RAM TRX! It’s definitely one of my choice of trucks. I’m in between that and the Durango hellcat. As far as price goes, still too damn much even by today’s standard. But not too bad considering that they are usually over 100 grand

I have had 2 hellcats before trading them for Trx. Launch control: activate it in drive press brake down hard with left foot, smash throttle to the floor with right foot, then get off brake with left foot, launch! Yay 😀

@autovlog. About more supercharger noise, you can refer to The goonzquad trackhawk build they had an air intake upgrade that made the whine louder

When launch control is done correctly. You will smoke the tires during a burn out of like 40 yards. The TRX will take over for a few seconds. For best race times don’t use launch 🚀 control. Lite brake pressure and stomp on the gas, releasing brake! Some of my best times were when the outside temperature was around 72 degrees!

Hi Mike, just to let you know. The supercharger whine sounds makes the supercharger less efficient. So that being said the louder the whine less efficient it is. The quieter the whine the more efficient it is.

Hold down the deactivate traction control button for 10 seconds to turn it completely off. Otherwise it will still engage even though the light is showing t/c is off

Make sure when you left foot brake to keep the rpms between 1700 and 1900 and you will see and feel the difference. I do it all the time.

It seems as you love the new trunk , There are no great deals in this market , so as long as you ok with what you paid and you love the truck thats all that matters.

I think you should stick to 18 inch wheels for the trx. Need more sidewall!

Try using cooldown mode to help with bringing the temps down. Also when you’re in LC and doing it right it’ll sound almost like a two step as the rev limiter will hold and sound slightly different. Took me a little while to get it down.

Yeah, Ram still does the dial, its the base shifter on the half ton, and its also on the HDs now too. To get the TRX's shifter in regular 1500s, one has to get the G/T package. Should just be the base shifter on all of them. Its also the same shifter from the 2016-2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee. Hell the whole drivetrain from the TRX is right out of the Grand Cherokee Trackhawk/SRT8, lol.

Really cool truck Mike. Since the end of last year they are on sale here in The Netherlands-Holland Europe. DUSA import in Amsterdam are selling them for around €125.000 Euro. So i think you got a good deal, haha. About the supercharger, go check out the Hennessey upgrade!! The make them up to a 1000hp

$92K is about right in this market for your trim. The minute that RAM announced the Hellcat goes bye-bye after 2024, the prices went through the roof on these(similar to what happened with the MB G-Wagen). Very base TRXs with zero options are going for what you paid, Mike. If this had the TR2 package, it would've been $105K+. I was offered $107K on my 2021 w/ TR2, spare tire carrier, Ram Bar, full carbon-fiber interior, panoramic roof, and offroad steps. The market is absolutely stupid right now... **Mike figuring out if this is the moment that his license is finally suspended...not in a Ferrari, NOT in THREE C63s, NOT in an R8, NOT in an M5...but a freaggin Ram! LOL!! I know the feeling!**

A good suggestion is probably waiting till the rev limiter gets to 2800 before releasing the break! I don’t think you’re letting the boost build up Junior! But it is hard(I guess) to launch control an automatic 😋🤪

The dial is in all other ram 1500s. The TRX is the only one that has the console shifter due to the launch control button location.

You're not using the launch control properly. You need to let the brake pressure gauge max out and then slowly go to full throttle. Then let go of the brake. You can also use the race cooldown feature on the rpm launch screen after you've been doing a lot of hard pulls.

Friend of mine ordered one Loaded. When it came in during these crazy times. Dealer wanted over sticker even tho the deal was made. Anyway he did get it at MSRP $ 96,000

Yeah heat and humidity makes a difference so do it in the morning when it’s cooler . But you got a good deal on it .

TRX button set launch RPM launch button then you'll get a little thing across the top of criterias level ground wheel straight first gear then hold the brake then mash the gas I posted a video link to somebody that was explaining everything and why it pushes through the brakes and all that a couple minutes ago

This truck sits weird without ram bar on the back and with those wheel setup.. I really hope he gets rid of those wheels 😃😃

My tuned 3.5L XLT does 0-60 in 3.83. It has a 2" level and 33" BFG KO2's. I could definitely go faster with better tires, I'm spinning a lot even with those times.

At least in Florida, several dealers you can order one for sticker. Build time has been 90 days

I usually use launch control at 1800-2000RPM and it’ll engage like you want it to. I think you are exceeding the brakes at the higher RPM. Also, use Baja mode, it’ll start in first gear and give you tunnel vision.

I've had best of luck with my rpms lower, higher rpms it want to push through the breaks, for launch control. Try 1500 to 1600 rpms

I got a 3.5 second out of mine. Not sure how but the stars must have aligned just right.
