I am the same way with driving a car to the wheels fall off. I literally drove a 1998 Ford Aspire until a wheel fell off. We had replaced a ball joint, but the new bolt was total junk and broke in three days… Thankfully it was at low speed!
Hey Jaabo Thank you for stopping and for calling 911. Far too many people would rather not get involved or leave it for “someone else” to deal with. Many years ago my wife and I spotted a house on fire. We pulled over and spotted another bystander. She happily told me, when questioned, that she had been watching the fire take hold for the previous 10 minutes without calling 999. I called 999 and requested the fire brigade. It was then we spotted a man in the upstairs window. When the firefighters arrived at the scene I appraised them of what we knew. They immediately went into full rescue and firefighting mode. After a few minutes they brought out the person we’d seen at the window. They worked on him and an ambulance took him away. It was once the emergency services had finished up that I gave my details to a police officer. Unfortunately, the person died in hospital. But, if that other bystander had called 999 just ten minutes earlier, who knows? The last but one car we purchased from Volkswagen, the salesman not only lied about the final price, he went further and insulted my wife because he was Indian and my wife’s family came from Bangladesh, which they see as an inferior country. Thankfully, he lost his job! Glad you and your wife are safe after witnessing the RTC. As an ex-copper I saw my fair share, including a triple fatal motorcycle versus car crash on a quiet side street.
That’s terrible. I’m sure it’s the same there but here it doesn’t hurt to have multiple people call in the same accidents. They can clear the calls quickly but it’s better to have many people call in the same incident than no one.
Sounds like a crazy situation! I’ve been to my fair share of wrecks. Motorcycles always tend to be the worst. One time, one was hit in the rear by a DUI driver going almost 100 in a 45 zone. And yes, I’ve seen other wrecks happen while on the scene doing traffic. People not paying attention, and then you have those that fly by and almost hit us because they are mad that the road is blocked. To prevent that, we typically have 4 different companies on a wreck so we have enough for traffic.
You witness way too many accidents and crashes on the Highways and interstates 🛣 of Georgia. I hope everyone in that ordeal is okay. There’s a reason why stop signs and yield/giveway signs exist. Always pay attention to the road signs
You did the right thing at Toyota Joseph. I decided to keep my Nissan Rouge for a while after trying to buy a 2023 KIA Sportage recently. I found there is not a single KIA dealer in Florida that is not charging at least a $1,500 markup. My local dealer has a market adjustment of $6,000 plus $2,500 in "dealer installed options" which include floor mats, locking lug nuts and a paint treatment (yeah right!). This is all before tax, tag, and title. And none of them will work with you. I got up and left several dealers.
Car salesman are professional liars. I’ve bought two vehicles in the last three years. Drives me crazy. They all bad mouth each other as well. Way to hold your ground.
thats weird cs I saw the similar thing. Nissan pathfinder blew a stop sign and honda motorcycle hit on the side. Motorcyclist was in a really bad shape but they survived as I later heard. After that I sold my motorcycle the same year. traffic accidents are scary, especially how fast people drive these days
The police focus is primarily on citations and clearing lanes for traffic. They really don't have a lot to do with the ambulance. The ambulance should spend as little time on scene as possible. That ambulance transporting the female should have spent no more than 10 minutes on scene.
They had to access her condition. The good thing was that everybody made sure to not move her until the ambulance arrived. Then they braces her neck. Probably total the were on scene less than 10 minutes. If she had landed in the travel lane she probably would have got run over by one of the idiots that came later
