@@jameswhite7173 you have to understand that not everyone wants to go to WWE. WWE is no longer the end all be all for wrestlers anymore. Look at the elite when they were all free agents from roh and njpw. They were offered monster deals and didn't go to WWE. There's tons of njpw talent that have been offered WWE contracts and never went cuz they don't want to be in WWE. Look at will ospreay who's arguably one of the best in the world, he said himself he will never go to WWE. Just cuz HHH runs creative doesn't mean the Vince still ain't running the show behind the scenes. Vince has far too much power and far too big of an ego to just walk away in the sunset. There's too many promotions out here for ppl to care about WWE as the only place to be working especially when your a talent who helped build a company from the ground up and became a star because of it. You think these guys don't take pride in building aew to what it is? If I was these guys I would jump ship to WWE. WWE doesn't give a fkn about tag team wrestling and hasn't for close to 25yrs. That isn't gunna change over night

I feel like Billy expected his son's to turn once they got the opportunity, Billy is a legend he's been here before and he knows how this works, Hell deep down he's probably proud of them.
It works out for all of them because Billy's at that stage in his career where he just wants to have fun. He can do that with Max and Anthony. Plus he doesn't have to worry about overshadowing his sons. Turning on Billy gives his sons a chance to get out from under his shadow, develop a name a for themselves and gained alot of heat for turning on their Father [Don't believe me? Then wait for their next confrontation with The Acclaimed.]
billy sided with his sons cause that's family but its despicable that his own sons dumped him! The Acclaimed understood why ,but had no problem with Daddy Ass.
Exactly what I was saying the other day too. Tony Khan is dumb for splitting the acclaimed and ass boys up. But hey it’s whatever I guess we get a good story now.
@@L154N4LG4IB I say it is too early. But it is about to happen soon as well. Aside from The Dark Order they won't win a lot of trios or 4v4s. Made The Acclaimed faces and the Ass Boys a heel without the need for their Dad.
I love this pairing. It lets Austin and Colton do their own thing without being shadowed by Billy. It lets Billy do his thing with the Acclaimed and continue being the most relevant he's been in years (and it's very well deserved).
Oh I could see the Gunn club turning on Billy but the Acclaimed wanting him back was out of nowhere for me. Still it was fun as hell watching it unfold.
In the back of my mind I feel like that's the one aew tag team that woulda really got over in wwe as well. Who knows what's in the future for them. I definitely see billy taking his boys to wwe at some point tho 🤷♂️

YESSSSSSSSSS, what an unexpected and cool decision AEW. Eventually I'd like to see the two teams together again and bring back the long intro with the Gunn's messing up the town and all that.
@@IssaPizzaCake I’m a fan of good story telling. I’m my boys jumped me and kicked my ass I wouldn’t pop up immediately and start throwing out high fives. They should of left billy laid out , waited two weeks had him confront the boys then when they went to smack him around have the acclaimed do the save. More rushed unrealistic tony Khan booking. The angles are terrible on this show.
Personally I don’t think the sons are ready to be pushed as they have been. They definitely have the potential but no where near as good as many others on the roster that could use that airtime. I really only cared for them during the team up and since the split I’ve watched curious to see how they’re playing this out. Glad Billy is with the Acclaimed again
I know JR has forgotten moves, lost a step, but when he kicks into gear with these "emotional" moments and you feel the fan come out in him, he's still one of the best commentators in the game.

Watching the gun club jump Billy then see the acclaimed come out after them was the highlight of it. An hearing " scissor me daddy" live was just way too crazy for words

This is the most incredible construction of the year (subjective), AEW had a good tag team that was so irrelevant for the audience, and they put them with another irrelevant tag team and that was the way they find make them relevant and big sellers with audience in general, making people wish they were the tag team champions.
Matt Menard said that on Dark Elevation when Max and Bowens did the scissor thing in the ring, and Excalibur went like "watch it, WATCH IT", he got mad because he had stolen his line 🤣🤣🤣🤣
