Nice recap and a solid effort getting in 3rd 👍 Tough as it sounds it looks like a quite scenic route with those amazing landscapes. Most likely wouldn't come more the half the way, but maybe should give it a go if they arrange it next year again.
Was race monitor for a few of you and so its great to see some video of what you all were riding through. It looked brutal just DotWatching it and your story confirms it. Chapeau on a great effort.
Epic. Would love to have a crack at that... had a go at TCR a couple of years ago, but by god it was hot and the roads were boring. Had to scratch at half way as it was 37 in the shade, I couldn't hack it! The parcours including some offroad was amazing though and so the accursed looks a lot more like my cup of tea.
Fantastic 3rd place!💪💪💪 I was following on dotwatcher, and the track looks tough but beautiful. Re dogs, you definitely need to get vaccinated for rabies! Not rabid🤣but you look lean and hungry. Did you lose much weight? Also how do you train for sleep deprivation? and not being able to get food (as you experienced) I get the impression most people just keep going til they're so tired they just crash out, wherever.
I lost a kilo during the race. Sleep wise I have a schedule that i know works for me after many years doing this. I can cope with 3-4 h per night… but the closer to 4h the sleep is then the more pleasant the overall experience
