I had no oxygen or energy to do it - I did it any way and shouldn't but yup! Iso much gaslighting we needed to be in a Burn Unit! Again, this might be in the chain, the cascade of things that is happening as low oxygen and high lactic is in response to sympathetic overactivity. That's why Wim Hof method is suggested. Working our way slowly to the top. That would explain why I stop breathing sometimes, especially at night. Meanwhile, my life is hell. Every part of my body is imbalanced and I have a myriad of symptoms I can't count anymore. I've had infections but for me, the jab made it kick in turbo mode. Shout out to all the long haulers.

I'm sorry to hear you got the shot :( I'm so ptsd with how they handled me (or not) with the severe infection in march 2020 that all trust was 'shot' for me but even that, as a nurse, I saw too much. I agree, with the apnea, the sympathetic, etc. I've done so many things but the best have been anything that has to do with oxygen, ozone, etc. I'm doing acupunture now too which is helpful. Also methhylene blue, NAD+ etc. What a trip. Totally relate with the cessation of breathing and it's scary because you don't even feel like you're running out of 02!

@@stephangauthier911 I was seeing them for over a year. I think part of my problem was that during the original illness I had changed how I breathe several times due to the issues I was having with my lungs. The therapy began with exercises to clear the nose and making sure I breathed through the nose. Then there were things to do to train me to use the diaphragm and then the stage after that was exercises to control the timing of my breathing (and to make sure my breaths weren't too shallow). Exercises mostly involved breathing, controlling the positioning, some posture, and some timing and holding your breath. Repetition through the course of each day. Obviously I would suggest that the exercises I was given were specific to the changes I'd made to my breathing patterns and that if breathing is part of the problems others are having what they need to do will depend on exactly how they are breathing now rather than some generic therapy as a one size fits all. It was a big help though. I wouldn't say I'm 100% but compared to where I was for over a year up to about september '21 I'm probably more than 95% better. By Sept/Oct that year I was about 75% better and I had a steady improvement and as my physical condition improved from being able to exercise (as well as contiunued breathing therapy) it took me a little under another year to get to the condition I've been in for the last 8-10 months.

I started trying this the day Vicky posted on twitter, because when I looked at her PRAL list, I realized my low histamine foods were highly acidic. I started feeling much better within a week. I have pushed the diet to see what is possible, and if I eat without concern for acidity, some long covid symptoms (chest pressure) return. Using PH strips to test alkaline/acid and acid was highest when I ate without considering acidity. I'm back eating mostly fruits and veggies for every meal with about a third acidic foods (bread, pasta etc) and feeling very good. Stretching, water, electrolytes, and other listed recommendations of course. Many thanks!

I also found a low histamine diet to help me the most with the long Covid symptoms that lingered beyond 8-10 months. However, I will now pay attention to acidity as well. I find that I have to eat around 75-80% low histamine diet to feel good. Also, I am now prediabetic according to my doctor and I totally cannot drink alcohol anymore (maybe 1 glass with a BIG meal) because my body cannot regulate the sugar. (I'm responding to Metal) Covid definitely did something to my body's ability to handle sugar. I had a glass of wine every night for the past 35 years (I'm 57) and cannot any longer. Good to have you back Gez, your insightful posts have been missed. Sadly the more I hear about long covid the more I'm convinced the illness is ME/CFS just under another name. I picked up a respiratory infection on a long flight in 2011 and have been in a 'long covid' state ever since hence knowing a thing or two about being constantly exhausted. The signature symptoms of the two illnesses mirror each one another so perfectly it's obvious this is one and the same thing, so, if I may be allowed, would suggest these kind folks delve into what has already been researched under the title of ME/CFS as they may well get a jump on results. Huge thx to all putting effort into solving this damned life destroying riddle.

It seems like the dysautonomia I've suffered from for decades. Lot of similar conditions going by different names. It got so much worse after two bouts of covid. What a wild ride LC is but everyone is slowly piecing together the puzzle! Things that have helped my recovery so far and gotten me out of a bedridden state: 1. Break up the microclots and improve micro circulation with Dr Laubschers triple anti coagulant therapy for 30 days! 2. 100mg TTFD Thiamine + B Complex & Electrolytes (magnesium/potassium) each day! Thiamine & B vitamins support the mitochindria function and also provide the fuel for the autonomic nervous system - If the tanks empty of acetylcholine we run on sympathetic and use anaerobic energy as mentioned in this video and the by product is lactic acid & acidosis + adrenaline and cortisol. I’m 2 weeks in without a crash so far, waking up at 7am with energy, sleeping from 10pm till 7am. Brain fog, POTS, Dysautomnia, Parasthesia, Fainting spells all gone. It's definitely made an improvement to how i feel and my energy levels. And to an outside observer it's also a "healthy diet" so I'm going to continue to roll with it. I just add it to the list of all the other small changes I'm making to see results. A bit like British cycling's approach to "marginal gains" 😊

For me, the biggest puzzle in Long COVID has been the relatively high incidence in seasoned athletes. The remarkable prevalence of marathoners and half-marathoners in Long COVID groups has always puzzled me. Perhaps CO2 is a factor; your bodies are accustomed to producing large amounts of CO2 and expelling it rapidly in respiration. COVID - particularly in the original form - interfered with respiration, possibly raising the residual CO2 level in the blood and tissues. It is just a thought (and not completely thought out at that) but we have known for years LC is not All One Thing. This definitely could be an important thing.
@RUNDMC1

I still struggle with symptoms. body aches, sudden fatigue, digestive distress, incontinence, etc. Once I began fasting symptoms improve but now when I eat I am almost immediately overcome with symptoms again. I have found that drinking warm- hottish water with a dash of salt helps instantly. The temperature of the water effects different symptoms. Hot water over 110F helps digestive issues, cooler water 104F helps with body aches, water near body temp bekow 100F helps with headaches. The amount of added salt is miniscule just a few granules in 12 oz water. Chugging the water all at once is required, no sipping. Filling the stomach rapidly makes for the rapid recovery. It also works as a prophylactic in advance of physical activity allowing me to teach ski lessons and coach other instructors with no major discomfort. I must still regulate how aggressively I ski and demonstrate keeping my self well balanced so I don't have to make large recoveries to balance but that's just good skiing.

It would proberly explain, why lots of endurance sports people ended up with long covid as their bodies have adapted to latic acid build up to the max their bodies could handle, then long covid pushed it over the edge. With so many people at the same time having an identified virus, there is actual headway being made to find out what causes, and hopefully, how to treat these post viral chronic conditions. When I hear of the lactic acid link, I'm thinking of how exercise brings on lactic acid, and how it relates to the failure of my body to rebound normally after exercise.

Post inject noticed cycles of pots, tachycardia, and bp changes. Trip to ER (heart rate over 188 bp over 165/135) showed bottomed out bicarbonate and acidosis. All of this has been tracked with at home bp and ekg monitor. Looks like a fancy rollercoaster from Hell. Given the finding, each time tachycardia episode I found small amount of bakingsoda was helpful. Food sensitivty? Found acesulfame potassium, sulfites, and artificial colors all exacerbate it. Appears calcium handling and the bicarbonate buffering system is disregulated. Once the calcium cannot move the muscles fail to function correctly. Noticed that magnesium supplement could also trigger the changes as it exacerbates the calcium balance. Vit k2 mk4 with calcium and vitamin D seems to be fine. Without calcium will start the issues. Magnesium is a sometimes problematic. Likely calcium is to low. Coffee -- add 1/8 to 1/4 sodium bicarbonate to a pot for acid buffering seems to smooth out. Water with lemon juice, salt (1/4 tsp) and potassium citrate (1/8 tsp) also helps. The big issue is this only solves heart issues for normal activity. Still cannot perform strenuous activities and still appear to have mitchondrial based energy issues. Coq10, thiamine(hcl, benfotamine, and ttfd), riboflavin all help some. Mitchondrial support -- Looking into calcium pyruvate, disodium succinate, urolithin, boron, and methylene blue as next steps.

Treatment is probably Bicarb of Soda and Beta Alanine. Athletes use this to buffer lactate acid. The amount of Bicarb required by athletes for any noticeable performance change is several grams, which is intolerable by most people. Beta Alanine tends to be used more in gym based workouts to push through the burn during high rep sets. Ideally cellular respiration needs to be fixed rather than dealing with the byproducts but it may break the inflammation cycle and prove useful for some. Hopefully it''s not a push to sell some of those dodgy alkaline diet fads but i think Gez is quite good at sniffing out pseudoscience.

That could be explained by air pollution. Physical effort increases our need for oxygen, the oxygen is taken from the air we breathe and the air we breathe is not exactly what we were designed to breathe, because we have been modifying it for a good few decades. These folks should be checking people for thiamine (B1) deficiency. Without enough B1, your body can’t process glucose through the regular channels but rather lactic channels. Increasing thiamine in other circumstances (such as fibromyalgia) has also resulted in symptom improvement, suggesting fibro folksay also be experiencing an increase in muscular lactic acid which results in pain. Your body will use B1 to fight off any virus, and will leave you depleted if you aren’t absorbing enough nutritionally/through supplements.

@RUNDMC1
@RUNDMC1 Год назад
When people talk about spike protein, they’re talking about viral debris. So it’s not so much a question of ‘life cycle’ (as the that is complete, and the virus is no longer replicating), as when/how the body can clear out this trash. To my mind, it’s more about ‘learning to deal with it’ - our bodies are full of viral trash, or latent viruses - the trick is to ‘’ignore’ them. I’m not aware of any good science yet covering exactly how our bodies clear out the remnants of the virus from the various different systems it’s floating round in.
