THE ACOLYTE EPISODE 3 - Why it didn’t EXACTLY break canon 

Hey guys! I know everyone’s going to have their own opinions on this but let’s try to keep comments respectful to one another. Remember, it’s just a tv show. I personally don’t even consider it canon to Star Wars, but let’s not forget that the experience is always far more important than the story. Debating the details of the lore should always just be a bit of fun, so don’t take it too seriously and don’t get upset if somebody disagrees with your opinion! I understand what you are saying but the problem with your argument is that the people that actually wrote and directed this series said they were changing the way the Force works. So this isn't just "another interpretation" this is them actually trying change the way the Force works. This is not us saying it, this is the people who made the series say it. All this means to me is that this is yet another example of some new person in the spotlight that thinks they can do better than 40+ years of already established and loved writing and Billions of Dollars made and completely failing at it because they don't actually care about the established lore or the franchise at all, it is just their newest way of trying to inject their idiotic ideologies into the fans escapism where it was never wanted or asked for to begin with.

The witches are framed as being correct about the force. What they say must be true, because they can do things that no other Jedi or Sith could do, and they do it with such ease that it's laughable. It's obvious that it isn't just their interpretation.

I think people, based on the like and dislike ratio are taking WAY to much out on this guy. All he is doing is explaining how it might be possible that the force/thread part of the show isn't breaking canon. Now do I agree, not 100% no, but it is simply one view on it. Again, he even says he is not advocating for the show, its quality, or the writing, just this singular aspect. I think the most damaging part of the show is how the twins are created using the force. That undermines the importance of Anakin's birth

The Force is to be interpreted in the way that George Lucas intended - not by every writer/director Disney hires to write their atricious shows. You're in some serious denial. The Zepho, and many other races have different names for the Force because language is a thing, not because it's different depending on species, or what part of the Galaxy you come from. It's always been a constant in what it was until George sold his IP.

I very much hate how this show is trying to rework and change already established things (like the force). I will confidently say that I do like Lee Jung-jae's character. I think that he is really doing a great job in the show even with the bad story and plot.

Yeah they didn’t change the force. Like you said, the way they explain it is basically a different way of how we usually explain it. It connects us like it always has, it has a will of its own like it always has, and you can go against it. If this is such a big deal to people why was no one upset that Sol said the force was like a ocean in episode one, I do not understand these people. Also Anakin was born by the force ITSELF, while the twins were born with the force. Anakin is still special.

yes you are right about the force being interpretted in many ways and infact i dont think that is a major problem, but what the issues i have is unless is was meant to be a delebrite character flaw, but first calling the force not to be used and then teloing to bend the "thread" force to your will is very hypcritcal , then you have the child thingy , jedi dont go after full children anakin was the only expection and due to the chosen one profecy and the fact he had no father , then how the twins were born , is very ridiculus , your telling me these sect of witches did what m plagiues could do with years of mastery with just thread , thats just vial disprect

The issue is that this show introduces twins being born through The Force, ruining the entire premise of Anakin being The Chosen One or what I to call him: The most important character in the whole franchise. 180 Million Dollar budget and it's pretty clear that the writer either didn't understand that or didnt care. It's terrible writing.
