Tips to cheese this boss fight: 1. DON'T start chucking pipe bombs and molotovs from your starting position. A bunch of rattlers will spawn through the gate behind you, and you're done for 2. What i do is once you start, crawl around that first plant thing on the right, place a trap mine, and it'll kill the dog. 3. RUN to the second floor on the right side and take out the rattler captain asap. They will only come up the ladder going to the second floor and not that side entrance that you came up from. Easy day from there.
@user-mw3kq2vz5b 1 month late, but no, Mel is not pregnant in No Return, it isn't canon, plus...it wouldn't make sense for a pregnant lady to run 28 mph
I haven't struggled with this one at all but I've seen people express similar sentiments to yours. I found the Seraphite Elite or either bloater boss to require much more skill or management.
Arcade Bloater for me is really hard because it’s such an enclosed space with a lot of clutter. Mainly the fucking runners are the most annoying part if you’re playing as someone who can’t dodge because it’s an instant grab which is just so damn annoying
i find a good tactic is getting in that second floor house ASAP and trap mining the balcony. they don’t seem to ever come up the back way (but i’m not certain they don’t) and then take everybody out from above. but that is where the captain starts so either wait for her to come out before going up, or take her out straight away with all the bombs you have.
Srsly? For me its the Rat king, he is so fast on grounded and the problem is when he touches you, it's game over. He always screws my runs, especially on grounded. The easiest for me were the Seraphites' Elite
I don't think I'm particularly good, but I won this on my third attempt easily after dying pretty messily on the first two. I think I retreated, rather than moved up, to the square in the corner behind me. I set up, stealthed, facing all of them and then placed a mine to my far right as far forward as I could without being seen, then backed up and did the opposite corner. The dog came sniffing for me at that point on the right and blew up himself and his handler. I ran back and placed my last one on the same spot and retreated again. As I did, someone blew up on the left. I then set up and stealth killed an encroacher shortly after which I was spotted. I retreated again and they hunkered down. I took a few shots and killed another after which they charged me. I think someone blew up in the middle of that throwdown but it wasn't too hard. Just duck and cover, pick them off, bind when necessary. Use your melee weapon in emergencies to kill quickly. Make sure you go into the fight stacked if you can, though I don't think I used anything but the mines and health kits. I held the rest for when I desperately needed them and I never did. When there was one left, I couldn't find him and kept searching. Eventually it was a sole guy up high past the big building that I took for the boss, but he'd never come looking for me, and I killed him with two shots, the last one a snipe headshot that he didn't see coming. I don't think my win was about skill, but finding the right strategy. One thing I don't get is that I played on standard difficulty and recall seeing only a single dog. This replay had three. It was a while ago. Maybe I forgot or it's random. It was a couple weeks ago. EDIT: Just watched the end of this. Last guy clearly not the boss. Who was it? Or is it just a general encounter?
Okay so first off thanks for the story! I love hearing about how other people handle this particular boss fight. That sounds like a really good strategy, honestly. My issue is that in this particular one as soon as I saw there was another dog I panicked. I was doing okay before I realized there was another dog which made me panic and become less accurate. (Dog spawns are random also I believe) if you watch I think I kill the boss around 3:01 and the remaining enemies are just the lackies. I played this on very light (I do a very light run every time I tried one of the characters for the first time) also because I find that difficulty the most fun. I usually run on Normal or Hard!
@@leotheskyguy Ah. That's why you shot with abandon with your machine gun and why he didn't die. I recognize the helmet now, but not when I was fighting for my life.
I find this and the seraphite elite the easiest atleast on survivor, use a throwable on the guy with his dog and the other woman, run to the right up to the second floor into the bathroom and you should be good.
just died to this boss as Tommy with a flame thrower. Killed the boss easy but the last rattler I killed threw a pipe bomb before he died and I didn't notice when I killed him. Thought I was good but the bomb blew me up and I failed the run. Almost uninstalled 😤
Beat her first try as yara on the daily run, as well as jessie when i actually first fought the boss, too. Honestly, it's not that hard when you have explosives.
@@LukeDickinson2626I would definitely say Rat King is the hardest with this being the second hardest. Rat King just has absolutely no room for the slightest mistake
@@leotheskyguy I was backed against a wall not having anywhere to go and it broke my neck that taught me I can't stay still and I need to keep moving always the mini stalker boss is easy just take down rat king first and light or punch the stalker
@@LukeDickinson2626honestly for me it comes down to moving around as well. You are absolutely right. I just get so nervous because it’s the final round and I’m overthinking trying to do really good which ends up in me backed in a corner, dead😂
