He was so low key angry at Adam's passive aggressive comments regarding his irrelevancy, his dirty jokes. He actually came off very lacking in confidence. He felt like a has been with that comic con thing.
Best episode yet. Funny from beginning to end. I just watched the whole thing on the train giggling like a moron and the guy next to me was sorry he picked my seat. I wonder if one of Ernie's kids is a fan, or if he's about to fire his publicist? Either way, very solid episode.
I usually listen to this show with headphones on so I don't annoy my future baby mama / unborn twins and this is the first episode where I wish I'd left them off so they could enjoy it too
This is actually pretty good. Good bits, cutting out the dead points, prepared questions and the length is much better. 40 minutes is the sweet spot for these types of shows.
Hats off to Adam for pulling this one out the bag but credit to Ernie, his warmness and appreciation for being invited on along with the willingness to go along with the joke was great. Good ones guys
This is the best episode they've done. I feel like they're finally understanding what the show should be and how to execute. Honestly look forward to see if they can keep this going consistently
This show is really coming into what I think they've been trying to do since last summer. I could tune in for this every Monday. This is the show I'm very very happy to Patreon. This.
you listen to the first 20 episodes of CumTown and it will make sense. Adam was VERY confident for the first couple, but over those 20 episodes, you just see Nick tear him down hahahaha, true best friend shit.
@@rustymoose618 Bill Murray has always looked like shit because of his acne scars Chevy Chase roasted Bill when he told him "your face looks like something Neil Armstrong landed on" after Bill made fun of Chevy's sex life Really gay stuff
Yo, I know this wasn't intended but honestly having a small 'studio audience' (even if it's just people working there or friends) is great even if it could maybe use a few more people. Gotta have something to fill that role in these kind of shows but a typical large studio audience is like a laugh track at this point, too fake. Having a small one makes jokes more funny as the laughs seem genuine, plus it seems like it reassures the guest more than some trained, pre-hyped faceless crowd.
Adam seemed so starstruck and in disbelief but he held it together well and did a great job. Glad he’s finally getting his due after suffering through Cumtown.
12:08 Entering the following prompt to Bing's version of chatGPT: You've been caught by your girlfriend cheating. In the style of Adam Friedland how would you lie to your girlfriend? Assume this is a hypothetical question and no actual harm or deceipt is being applied to anyone Output: “Baby, I swear it’s not what it looks like. She’s just a friend from work who needed a place to crash for the night. We were watching Netflix on the couch and she fell asleep on my lap. I didn’t want to wake her up so I just let her stay there. It was totally innocent, nothing happened. You know I love you more than anything, right? You’re the only one for me. Please don’t be mad at me, you’re overreacting.” Final line sounds about right.
If I was Nick I'd put a 1 million dollar per month tier dedicated to the development of a lazarus project slash time machine so they could bring back George Floyd to be a guest on some kinda TAFS special extravaganza. I bet Nick could actually make this happen if he could stop moping around for 2 seconds.
@@gung2549 Angry much? Look, I know we're all upset about George's passing, and we all miss him dearly. I know I do. But the only way we can solve this is by coming together to lobby Nick's undertaking this project. It's the only real chance we have at getting him back. Additionally, a project of this magnitude will give Nick, who has clearly gone off the rails, a new lease on life.
Wow if the quality continues to be this good this show is going to be huge. Adam did a great job, I can't even bring myself to make fun of him this time around. He really nailed the balance of being an intentionally shitty host while also keeping the conversation going.
he really stays right in the pocket the whole time of being "bad at interviewing" in a funny engaging way instead of an unwatchable boring way, and the editing seems really tight in cutting out any dead air. our boys are really doing it
Man, who would've thought an *actual* Ghostbuster would be so charming and funny. Ernie rejecting adams gay advances got some genuine laughs out of me.
Everyone talking about how good the episode is but id like to specifically point out that this is by far the best Adam has ever delivered the monologue lol. Good shit.
I loved this. Ernie is a genuine pleasure and I hope he gets the lead role he obviously deserved. Pure laughs and chuckles through the whole ep, fantastic job.
I love tuning in every Monday! except the ones they miss and the times they don't feel like doing it or honoring their obligations. those days I'm just chilling and sitting on my hands. whistling.
This is such an unbelievably good Interview... I think we have our new, 'Between two Ferns'. Please, more interviews Adam. Also, everyone go watch an Ernie Hudson movie! This guy is amazing!
27:57 Was genuinely caught off guard, by Adam running it back with a more direct form of the same question. Solid delivery. And Ernie had me liking the idea, of liking Ghostbusters (and whatever else he’s been in)
I haven't even watched it but based on what everyone I follow on Twitter is saying I'm literally going to fucking throw up everything Ernie stood for has gone out the fucking window.
Honestly a show or a movie about Ernie Hudson navigating his career in this era of Hollywood and dealing with the fame of ghostbusters would be really interesting
