I own the Linesman jacket (and the trail rainshell, and the 2 AS inner jackets). And I love and use them throughout the year. But there is one design flaw: the lack of ventilation in the lower sleeves. Riding in warmer conditions, esp. off-road your lower arms will get wet from sweat over time. Cuffs that can be opened up with a Velcro would solve the issue and also help you to get longer gloves underneath the jacket. The rest of the jacket is perfectly vented though. I added some longer zippers to the jacket, that helped a lot. Also, the sleeve cuff edging is prone to peeling.
Thanks for this, we have a section on our website where you can send us gear suggestions, if that's of interest! www.adventurespec.com/product-development Thanks
Just found you and the super shirt/ linesman jacket. Would like to order but also saw your video of the man sliding with the shirt on. What pants is he wearing. Would like those also
by far and away the best jacket I own, and I have a badlands suit, I wore the linesman jacket on recent ride to Faro in Portugal and back even in the heat it was good to wear, would have been nice to wear it with the supershirt but was not available at that time
@@adventurespec best jacket but ridden through a sudden torrental rain storm, should have stopped to put rain jacket on, your right, light showers fine rain storm, er not so much
I was going to ask if they were going to offer a non-CE version of the Linesman like they do the Mongolia and Atacama. Would be pointless to have spent the money on a Supershirt and also have to spend on another set of superfluous armor with the Linesman, just to remove it.
You would remove the armor from the Linesman jacket and only have it in the Supershirt. I don't think they sell the jacket without armor, but for me it wasn't a dealbreaker as I like to have an option to throw the armor back in the jacket for those occasions when I don't have the Supershirt on.
@@umeku my point is I would prefer to not pay for additional armor that i don't need. ADV Spec sells other models of non-CE rated jackets and pants that come without armor at a significant discount. Just wondering why the same can't be done for the Linesman.
I love mine. Have it for 2 years now. Maybe 40k km now. I did get an XL with a L baltic hybride jacket. i ride all year around so i want to be able to stuff a sweater and the baltic jacket and some thermo if needed underneath. I wear the jacket almost every day. Only issue so far is that i have cracked both my elbow protections in half.
I’m 6’ 5” (195cm) tall, 200lbs (91kg) with long arms 37” (93cm). I’m wondering what size Linesman jacket and base layer I should get? Looking for any input.
Hi! Have you had a look at our updated sizing charts? www.adventurespec.com/blog/tracks-1/how-our-sizing-works-35 Drop our Helpdesk Team a message and we will help you out. www.adventurespec.com/contactus
I just bought one. The thumb holes in the sleeves are a bit of a mystery to me. There's no way you can put a thumb through once you have gloves on. Am I missing something?
A question.. do you know if the linemans jacket works with Knox armour style shirts/light jacket 🤔... I have a knox ,I forgot its name @mo...in the same way as your slipshirt ,I'm thinking the knox product might be a bit bulky in comparison?
Hi Paul, thanks for this! Sorry we haven't directly tired the jacket with Knox so the best thing for you to do is measure yourself with the armour on then check our sizing chart: www.adventurespec.com/blog/tracks-1/how-our-sizing-works-35 all we know is it's a perfect fit with the Supershirt 🙃
Hi Krzysztof, not currently I'm afraid. In the EU, in order to sell motorcycle clothing suitable for road riding we need CE certification, which requires The Linesman Jacket to be sold with armour. However we would like to hear your thoughts, we have a section on our website 'Tell us how to improve our gear' if you'd like to add your feedback: www.adventurespec.com/product-development Thanks

On ALL your video's the sudden NOISY interruptions with fill in photographs or other parts are REALLY annoying and HURT my ears. PLEASE edit and normalize BEFORE posting. Otherwise great content, thanks.
