I have one and so far, so good. Very comfortable and adjustable for every style of saddle hunting. I like it.

Nice info. Learning curve is important I put the time in learning an ESS saddle and it is the most comfortable saddle I have ever used. Pain to use at first. But amazing in tree.

Very well done on your comprehensive review. I am an experienced rope climber, saddle hunter, and even saddle designer, as I started doing this 10yrs before I heard of saddle hunting, and so I had to make my own. I can last all day in a tree with no kneepads and no platform with my feet only supported by a horizontal branch. In my Aerohunter Flex and multiple other saddles I have tried, my ability to sit comfortably for long periods of time is made easier with a long bridge, as this will reduce hip squeeze. This saddle appears to have a very short bridge. My ability to move freely and spin silently 360 degrees is aided by a high Tie in Point, often many feet over my Head. In the video, you lowered your tie in point which makes sense given the short bridge. My question is simply: what is the discomfort when sitting? Is it hip squeeze? And the straps digging into our crotch? If we wear it lower and we used a longer bridge, and go with a higher TIP, perhaps wear it lower, might a sit be more comfortable?

As of now I have dialed in comfort both leaning and sitting. Dropping the tether helped get the straps off my crotch area and reduce pull on the top portion. After some adjustments I found the sweet spot.

I am just getting started into saddle hunting. Your videos are very helpful and informative. Much appreciated. I have noticed that you are using a number of different types of ascenders on the tether. What is the type in this video? Would you consider doing a review of these? Thanks

The one in the vid is the Madrock Safe Guard. I do have a video on it on my channel.

Thank you for this video. I'm interested in a more safe saddle with better leg straps. Some of the two-panel saddles look and feel nice, but their leg straps aren't even tested for load. When I tested that saddle(not the Aero) for extreme circumstances, it didn't do so well; even some of the stitching is coming undone. This aero saddle seems more inline with climbing and hunting and the safety needed. I have a family and would like to not die from a fall 🙂 Did this Aero feel more safe than some of the two panels?

Anythin Aero hunter feels SAFE! I used this word in the review… overbuilt! I never have a concern on anything Aero Hunter.

I would compare this to an arborist saddle, not a rock climbing harness. Rock climbing harness has belay loop instead of bridge and a minimal leg strap design. Regardless, great review of the revolution. Been waiting for someone to do one before I purchased. Currently used tethrd phantom xl and sherilltree arborist saddle, this will he the best of both those worlds. Thanks again, love your videos. Keep it coming.

I was wanting to know what saddle you recommend. I purchased a Cruzr Arcon last year and hunted out of it several times. I was pleased with the comfort both sitting and leaning but wearing the saddle while walking to the tree was very bad. The belt keeps on slipping causing major saddle sag and the adjustment to separate the 2 panels are nearly impossible to adjust one handed. Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated

Man those are three great suggestions. I have the most experience with the Jx3 and Latitude. I have use the latitude, the most I believe. I do think some of these have a 30 day moneyback guarantee you might wanna look into that so that you can try it out.

@@platinumpursuitoutdoors I'm 6'3" 240lbs. It's soo comfy I fall asleep in it. Definitely at least just get the hammock and bag and put it on your current saddle. When you fall in love with it you can decide if you want their harness or what. Heck if you are close to Charleston sc you can try mine.

Do the rigger plates make a lot of noise? I was concerned with the steel carabiners from the linemen belt making a lot of noise contacting the rigger plates while climbing.

How does this saddle compare to a jx3 hybrid for comfort...it looks pretty comfy ....might be even bettet with a back band....
@platinumpursuitoutdoors
@platinumpursuitoutdoors Год назад
You know, JX3 Hybrid is in a class of its own in regards to comfort. With the tree fork and the ability to sit, as if you’re in a chair is hard to beat. As far as an actual saddle, this revolution is comfortable. As for me, personally, I can achieve comfort in it.

Casey Jones, the designer essentially created this saddle with SRT/ DRT climbing in mind. It’s the best In it’s class IMO

@kevinnielsen4321 Год назад
@@platinumpursuitoutdoors Casey Jones is a good guy sent me a kestrel just to try out, I gave him my likes and dislikes and he flat out told me to wait cause he had a new saddle coming out that fixed all the problems of the kestrel I did then ordered my flex which is my go to saddle up but in getting into srt/drt and the revolution looks very interesting. Have the latitude xl 2 which is great for everything saddle hunting except comfort, hip punch is crazy ridiculous.

So far, I have SRT, JRB, used Sticks & WE Steps. I have stood on a TR Mission, WE Perch and limb walked. Some have commented this Saddle has too much of a "fiddle factor", I call it versatility. I might add the construction is seconded to none.

Once you know the settings, you like, you can very easily get to the tree and adjust it, and it becomes second nature. This has been my experience so far.

How does this saddle feel when straddling the tree with a ROS? It seems this design would not pull in on the legs as much. Have you tried straddling the tree with a ROS to see how it works?
@platinumpursuitoutdoors
@platinumpursuitoutdoors Год назад
I actually deleted that potion of the video to save time. It excels in this area over a sling saddle bc your legs can more independently.

@@platinumpursuitoutdoors Thanks for the reply. That's what I was thinking just looking at it. I think ill be picking one of these up to give it a try. I can't use a platform anymore at all and only ROS when in the saddle. My covert prime is really good and splitting the weight up but this just makes to much sense with a ROS.
