Totally agree with this review. Bought mine two years ago, never had a problem with it, good battery life and always find it to be pretty accurate wherever I've played around the country. For the price it's a bargain and gives me all the info I need at a glance. Love it.

Can you calculate your shot yardages? Very new to these gadgets thanks.

This watch will tell you how far you have to different targets such as the flag or hazards on the hole. It's less so for working out how far you hit each club but you can calculate it through repetitive practice from certain yardages and working out which club went the correct distance. If you're trying to work out how far each club goes you would probably want to look into something like a personal launch monitor or game trackers that measure each shot you hit on the course

One of my friends got a garmin a bit more expensive model and he seems to be able to maybe press a button after he hits the ball and when he gets to the ball he knows how far it went, basic gps thing I guess there must be ways to do that with a phone as well I guess.

I have the S10 but it seems to be only one not compatible with the Garmin connect app? Is there anything else I can connect this watch to so I can update my scores and get a real handicap?

Unfortunately I don't think there is an app, you may be able to download your score data when it's plugged into a computer but I'm not so familiar with the desktop version of Garmin Connect so wouldn't want to say for sure

Unfortunately prices can be subject to change, this doesn't happen often and if it does, it usually goes down towards the end of the season etc, but this one has gone back up a bit
