I’ve never seen anyone show how the mainstream media or the presenter (here you) not noticing how a deeply important issue to talk about facts and future is boiled down to a moralizing ”good” and a ”bad” perspective. He's basically saying that the media cant tell you what your stance or opinion on something is, but they can tell you what topic to discuss and have an opinion on. So for example, maybe prior to this election you may have never thought about immigration, but since it was constantly brought in the media and during debates you started to form your own opinion on it. The media didn't tell you what to think about immigration (you came to your own conclusion based on what you believe is right or wrong) but it did tell you to form an opinion on immigration.
Okay, understood it now. So the media has no control of the opinion we form on an issue, but it does control the content that we should form an opinion on. Thank you very much.
