As to the furry comment around 1:11:25 the thing is the furry fandom started as a “degenerate” fandom. The burned furs tried to clean it up, but there is a discussion to be had if it would have been correct of them to do so in the first place. If any outside group did co-op the furries it was the wokies around 2016 purging out the old guard. In any case, fandoms should be kept mostly a niche thing with just slow enough growth to maintain what it is, but fast enough to keep from stagnation. Got to find that sweet spot.
