I absolutely love how you do not rush your shot. I know we may not see the ones that go badly, but I can tell you try to give the pest a clean instant dispatch. I have seen in your other videos that you will pass on a shot if it cannot be a clean shot. Kudos to you Sir.
Thanks John. I get a bit of criticism for being slow to take shots, but I don't like to pull the trigger unless I expect it to end in a clean kill. Thanks for watching. Mat
Hi Matt love your videos . I have 2 Daystate’s an older X2 12ft and a FAC Huntsman regal . Both great rifles. Unfortunately the gun shops in my area don’t deal with Daystate any more because they tell me that Daystate aren’t the company they once where . I would love to get a Huntsmen revere . Shame .
Hi Mat. And yet another great and informative video. Can you please tell me what the huge ir torch you were using with your slpex. It looked very good. Thank you.
Wicked Light from Scott Country. It's a bit of a beast but works brilliantly - I use it on minimal output for this sort of shooting. Thanks for watching. Mat
Great shooting Matt😊I think you have helped me make my mind up. My next rifle is the RM8😊cheers buddy good health to you and happy and safe hunting😊regards😊thanks for upload😊👍👍
Great shooting Matt. The Daystate is a cracking looking gun, but why no sling studs fitted ? I would be terrified to try and fit them myself for fear of damaging the stock.
I see you are running a Dolphin Gun Company Bipod! I have been looking for a Ranger 2, but I'm struggling to find one. Have they been replaced by the Ultralight that you are using Matt?
@@theshootingshow Thank you for the info, Mat. Keep up the good work! I refer people to your channel all the time. Especially any sub-12 stuff. Seems like Americans always want more and you allow me to show them it's not needed!
Thank you for another excellent video Matt, never miss them. There is one thing, any chance you could quote Imperial weights too when doing your reviews ? Am probably not alone to appreciate this if you could do it. Cheers 😁
Hi Nick. I'd love to include imperial measurements but I struggle to remember all the facts and figures as it is. I tend to do more in-depth reviews of the guns featured on the show in Airgun World magazine - and they include imperial measurements. Wolverine is in the Summer issue - coming out very soon. There's a subscription discount offer in the show description. Thanks for watching. Mat
I have used 940nm quite a lot, and never found it to make a huge difference. I think the main factor here as that there are two of us out, and we often need to talk to each other off-camera. It certainly adds to the challenge... Thanks for watching. Mat
Where is the stippeling in the grooves for? Why is it not where it should be? In front of the grooves and underside whole the way up to the polymer.....I don't want a gun for it's fancy look but i want a good grip. I will never buy a gun like that for that price with such stupidities and tralala on it. A hunter will never design a gun that way, only bank rest and tripod shooters can do that 😂
@@reservedone1791 His point was the poor design... nothing about his ability to afford the gun. Looks like you may need to have a chat and a cuddle and a good look at yourself...
Agree - it's a weird one... I'd hope to have some grip there, the only thing I can think of is that it may be 'soft touch' which is grippy? Probably not, as I'd assume Matt woudl have mentioned it.
