to have his hands in talent and be talented himself is quite something..im 36 and i bought this album when i was 9 or so...it was one of the first albums i ever bought..i think the other one was the police's scyncronicity...took me 2 and a half weeks of cutting grass in 1982 lol im im 36 now, ofcourse now i have it on cd... as an adult and a bass player of many years i have an appreciation for all the things he did..
Nothin sends chills to a Husker fan quite like hearing this music in anticipation of the players coming onto the field. 80,000 fans and the music cranked up on the huge speakers. I doubt Alan P had this in mind when he created this music but thank you Mr Parsons and also Woolfson333 for posting it.
This was one of the first rock songs I ever liked to the point of listening again and again. I was about 12 then, but even before that my parents used to play APP in the car's tape player. Listening to APP always brings me childhood memories.
this song reminds me of rain... and first moments after the rain ..when everything is just fresh and you know deep inside you will meet someone out of nowhere... you imagine things desired to happen regardless possible or not....
you to man...you know ive lived a life a while now..and yes i tell stories..i figure if i can use my life to help others or my situations ive been in good or bad i try to be that person..stay cool..people can be very good and freinds with you if you let them..one day you may be 36 and tell your freinds about the time you did something..ife is to be shared with freinds..and to be a freind in life and help others and just being a good person is what its about..i was ur age once upon a time too.

I emailed Alan in June and just now got a reply back! LOL His publicist, or whoever she is, said that Alan loves that Sirius is used as the "entrance theme" for sports teams! hehehe :)
The first part of this is what has been heard at NBA arenas for years when the home team is introduced, most notably in Chicago and San Antonio I believe.
I found it by plugging in 'alan parsons steelers' on youtube since they play it alot at the games. I got the first hit with Sidney Crosby and enjoyed that too !
i apologize too...im not a bad guy and im sure in your heart you are not either...life is too short..i wish you well and i hope you have a good christmas...or...(feliz navidad)
No. It was just so epic that the Chicago Bulls decided to use it. Then a bunch of other teams followed suit when MJ started dominating the basketball world.
@WillieTheWhiteGuy Wow, and its been spelled out that clearly for a long time. Do not have to even read between the lines, just read them! great point Willie!
the intro track was great for opening a show or reading a liner card, then transition right into eye in the sky without having to change to the otehr turntable. god i'm old! lol
This is about early 80s when new age wave came along. it started somewhere here. This kind of music belong to this era, wich is one of reasons Alan dont want a tour, nor comeback.
