Alan Parsons Project - Sirius (Eye In The Sky) (12'' DJ Mike G. Extended mix) (Remastered) (Arista Records 1982) Music For Entertainment Purpose Only Not Owned. (djmikeg01)
1982, I was a sophomore in high school. I would listen to this song right before my football games it got me in the mind set to play. Little did I know that at the end of the year, I would find out I had to fight for my life beating cancer. Here I am in 4/10/2024 ready to turn 58 on 4/22/2024. God is everything and all loving. God bless the world.
I'm glad I came across your comment. I was feeling down and reading that you overcame adversity spoke to me in some type of way causing me to feel better about my situation. We can overcome if we stand strong and don't give up!
@MichaelAnthonyHuerta-mf8oh Hey, I'm glad it helped you out in some way, Mr. Huerta. Sometimes, we just need to look a little closer at things around us to find that our situation is not as bad as we thought. Live life to its fullest and take care of yourself. By the way, my full name is also Michael Anthony. 😁😁
This brings tears to my eyes. My dad accidentally heard this song while I was listening to it on the radio, and he's been obsessed with singing this with his band when entertaining guests during parties. I always found this song weird, but love it nevertheless. Dad is now with the Great Eye in the Sky, most likely jamming with him up there. Miss you, dad! ❤😢
Io ne ho 71 e l'ha penso come lei....che tempi che abbiamo vissuto....irripetibili e non perche' piu' giovani ma perche' la qualita' musicale era superiore, oggi se ne salvano in pochissimi!!!
I am with you at 75, still remember the original, those were the days of excellent music and musicians. (sorry cannot say the same for passes for todays music).
This came out at the start of my senior year of high school, 1982. I had my 1st car, 1st job then my all time best friend was back in town after a year away. Very happy time of my life. I will always cherish the late 70s-early 80s as the best days of my life.
WHERE WERE THOSE DAYS... THERE IS MORE WISDOM IN THIS KIND OF MUSIC THAN IN THE COMPLETE STOCK OF THE RECENT FLUSH OF ENVOKING RUBBISH !!!! WE WANT MORE! WE WANT MORE!!!
In 1982 I were in the US Army at Ft. Hood, TX. I loved the guitar intro. Just listen to the lyrics. The artist was actually singing about real life. I'm 63 yrs old now and this song is a classic.
I have been searching for this song for 22 years and today suddenly I found it. I listened to this in VCD technology when I was a kid in 2002 probably.... my heart is filled today.
I heard it at a minor hockey game this season and being 51 i had heard it but diidnt know artist. A bit of investigatimg quicky determined that between being 9 when it came out and being a sports fan ( a Chicago bulls announcer was searching for years for a great intro to his bulls taking court song, believe they started very early 90s with it, as Jordon was cleaning house). This comment is about the Sirius intro.
This will be a song that will stand the test of time. Alan Parsons and the Alan Parsons Project created this album and it blew everyone away in 1982 and still does to first timers today. Brilliance was a common characteristic of Alan Parsons music career, and few know that he was the Lead Sound Engineer for Pink Floyd's "Dark Side of the Moon' album before he jumped into the music scene with his own music. Alan Parsons was an uncut diamond of the music industry and his work in the industry will stand for decades......
@@juliastephens8694it's easy to be spot on when you're talking about a musical genius like Alan Parsons. This man is basically responsible for the Pink Floyd sound in the post- Sid Barrett years. Parsons did all the studio mixing and edits to create what I think was one of the greatest albums ever made , " Dark side of the Moon" ....this song of his will be listened to 100yrs from now and people will comment on how far ahead of the game Parsons actually was with this
Yes you are correct that few people know about his influence with Pink Floyd..I really don't think it would have been the timeless genius masterpiece without him! Thank you for sharing this😘🎼🌹
@@gabrielle-AV-n-PFloyd ahhh finally!!! Another fan of "The Floyd"!! I think Parsons saw the opportunity to be a part of one of musics all time greatest music and lyric compilations from a select group of musicians that were at the forefront of where and which direction rock & roll as a whole was heading. I am quite positive that the multitude of sound effects on Dark Side of the Moon were all little light bulbs that illuminated in Parsons head as he began to record and edit the individual tracks of that album. IE : the sound of loose change hitting a stopping point on the "Money" track, the sound of a clock chiming off the midnight hour on the "Time" track, and the many other odd but natural sound effects that are present in this masterpiece...all of these you can bet Alan Parsons was the one who hinted them to the band
No matter where you read in this thread, there is someone who has a fond memory of this song. I remember listening to this when I was a young man, driving home after cruising west colfax back in the early eighties. I had the radio in my 69 Nova cranked as high as it would go.. everyone would hear it.. miss those days, not a care in the world, and warm summer nights in Denver
I hope Heaven's House Band plays this for me when I make my entrance in Paradise! (Sweet Lord Jesus, I'm requesting this now.🙏♥️ Thanks ahead of time.)
What a great tune. What a great time to be American. What a great time to live in America. What a great time for musical creativity and musical genius.
Got to see this band live in Pittsburgh in the Mid 90's..... They were awesome 😎 this is when they came out with that quadraphonic surround sound then...❤
This song always reminds me of a girl i met on Anglesey over Easter 1984. She said to me, "This will always be our tune." Every time i hear it, i always think think of her and the best time just being with her. Thank you so much.
I was raised up on the likes of Alan Parsons etc by my dads taste in music. I later used this song as part of my gym cardio workout music. A great track to focus and inspire, and the rhythmic beat helps to pace!
The eye in the sky. The most confronting question to all humans living in our 3d simulation. Nothing is private and nothing is sacred. The controllers of our life know everything. Thanks for sharing Alan Parsons most world changing song.
I miss those days where we knew where we stood Today anything goes. We had morals, standards and so much more. Hope for a return of those days where right stays right, wrong stays wrong
As a child I would only hear the beginning of this music & my heart would leap with joy, today as an adult I get to hear this entire piece of music & it still brings me that joy I once felt❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Bullshite.....there were classic rock radio stations that would play the whole albums. ( They would also tell people to put "The Wizard of Oz" in the VCR while they played ..Floyd's "Dark Side of The Moon ")This was popular a long time before the Bull's Championships .
OMG! This song brings back alot of amazing and awesome times for me. I was 15 when this song came out. The entire decade of the '80's were the best times ever and the best music ever!! If I could go back in time and re-live the '80's, I would in a heartbeat. Not to change things, but to live that time again. Life is awesome! Take care, guys. Be safe. Peace. Class of 1985!
Прекрасная мелодия! Ещё будучи юношей услышал её в начале 80-х годов. Я считаю, что в то время это был прорыв в музыке! Французский Space, немецкий Kraftwerk и советский Zodiac был большой прорыв в музыке!
A collosal piece of music, very talented chappie. Has been involved ed with John Miles,Al Stewart, pilot Steve Harvey.. and wait for it pink Floyd, almost forgot colin blunstone
God, this song!! I was like 4 or 5 when it was released and I can remember being completely mesmerized by it! 54 now and it is still just as captivating as the first time I heard it!!! ❤ Cheers
Beautiful, listening to this and loving Genesis and the ilk, i realize I missed out on Alan Parsons ... at 66 I will now be catching up and discovering 😁
Mr Parsons you're one of the best & one of my best favorite. You have the best music, eye in the sky 👁️👁️👀, Lucifer, mamma gamma, time etc. 🎸🎸🎸🎼🎵🎶🎤🎧 Nice to hear, I love it 😘😘😘❤️❤️❤️ God bless you 🙏🙏🙏
A mis 74 la disfruto como si la escuchara por vez primera ,deleita mis oídos, enamora mí espíritu y viaja mis pensamientos más allá de lo que la vista capta del universo.
Don't think sorry's easily said Don't try turning tables instead You've taken lots of chances before But I ain't gonna give anymore Don't ask me That's how it goes 'Cause part of me knows what you're thinking Don't say words you're gonna regret Don't let the fire rush to your head I've heard the accusation before And I ain't gonna take any more Believe me The sun in your eyes Made some of the lies worth believing I am the eye in the sky Looking at you I can read your mind I am the maker of rules Dealing with fools I can cheat you blind And I don't need to see any more to know that I can read your mind (looking at you) I can read your mind (looking at you) I can read your mind (looking at you) I can read your mind Don't leave false illusions behind Don't cry cause I ain't changing my mind So find another fool like before Cause I ain't gonna live anymore believing Some of the lies while all of the signs are deceiving I am the eye in the sky Looking at you I can read your mind I am the maker of rules Dealing with fools I can cheat you blind And I don't need to see any more to know that I can read your mind (looking at you) I can read your mind (looking at you) I can read your mind (looking at you) I can read your mind I am the eye in the sky Looking at you I can read your mind I am the maker of rules Dealing with fools I can cheat you blind And I don't need to see any more to know that I can read your mind (looking at you) I can read your mind (looking at you) I can read your mind (looking at you) I can read your mind
I was living in Japan when I first heard this song. I was a long-time listener of The Alan Parsons Project. I discovered them in high school when my friend turned me on to Tales of Mystery and Imagination album.
I remember eye in the sky from my past but it was reinforce to a new hight when a unknown performer sang it on a karaoke in southern Spain. Truly a great song that is timeless.
This song brings many memories. It's so pretty. I'm 64. Early 20s a navy man broke my heart. I drank too much. My future husband helped me get my act together.
41 y/o now. Dad used to play this song when I was a baby and still play this song even till now once in a while. When I play this song, my kids gonna say......the song from the burger rain movie
When I was a child, God looked apon me, idk why. He showed me a cassette tape with that eye. The Alan Parsons tape. I listened to it. Somehow it brought me closer to him. Wished I was that innocent now. Except you be as a child, you cannot enter. The maker of fools, yea he sure can. Bring the wise to fools, and the fool to wise😊
