Outkast's made some of the best music I've ever heard period, like ATliens, Aquemini & Stankonia are one of the best trilogy in rap history. Big Boi has a dope voice and cool presence on the tracks that balances with Andre's energy, and Andre 3000 it's my favorite rapper of all time with Eminem, Kendrick, MF DOOM and Nas, like has so many GOATed verses 🔥🐐.
Yknow what though... I'm the most consistent person that drops videos like these... that's the craziest thing to me but thanks! I appreciate it... I put way more effort into this one than I usually do other videos
Bruh thank you for making for this. Stankonia shifted the culture if you were old enough to remember. Crazy to think in 3 years after this dropped Dre would top everything they ever did commercially and make one of the biggest songs of all time in Hey Ya. OutKast is forever
Andre 3K is one of my favorite artists of all time. This man's artistry and genius is just on another level. One half of the most iconic hip hop groups of all time. As well as creating one of the most iconic songs of all time with Hey Ya!!. I mean the greatness that is Andre 3K is unparalled. I hope to neet 3K one day and just thank him for his genius and show love and respect. 😎
Every artists have that 1 thriller moment with a album. And Stankonia was there thriller moment. That is a Classic Hiphop Album. B.O.B , sorry miss Mrs Jackson, So fresh so Clean tore up the Radio Waves!!!!!!
Imagine if they make one more album Andre and Big boi would fit right in. Andre had a verse called Decemba with a more trap beat he killed it and Big Boi still making albums!
New to your channel and this is my first video (was on my recommend on yt) and I have to say that this is a great video! Nice editing and nice breakdown/history. This is probably my fav OutKast album tbh, for me it's usually between this and Aquemini as my no. 1 from them Some of my other fav songs from OutKast during the Stankonia era are Sole Sunday (was on a soundtrack and a b-side on the Ms. Jackson single), So Fresh So Clean Remix with Snoop Dogg and Neck Uv Da Woods by Mystikal which was produced by Earthtone III and sounds like it could've fit in Stankonia perfectly, most likely made during those sessions too
When hip hop started they said it was a phase... the reason it grew to more than that and going on to be the #1 selling music in the world is because it didn't just stay in New York. Hip hop really became mainstream because of the West Coast... specifically the Death Row era. That opened it up for everybody. New York saw that happening... hence the hatred they showed for Death Row and Outkast. The keep it real era was coming to a close.
I go back and forth between ATLiens and Stankonia being my fav Outkast album, but this one does have more classics. Humble Mumble is my personal favorite track, it's otherworldly. As a big fan of alternative music, i pretty much see Outkast as originators of alt-hiphop. I grew up on alt-rock and since there was lot of rap/rock crossover music in the early 2000's, i eventually got into rap also, plus many other genres. Alternative is all about breaking boundaries and that is exactly what this group did!
Me 29 and my 60 yr old dad listened to this album huge southern hip hop fan he just hadn't listed to it in a while and was like holy shit this album is good where can I download it I am like the Spotify family plan I have been paying for so he still using Pandora and his thing is he likes the radio in like there are millions or f radio and playlist I have 680 songs downloaded on my phone . I am just gonna set up spotify on his phone next time I see him.
@@KingBenny Nah it definitely does, but we know you didn't say it 🤣Love the content though bro, thank you for putting all the time in to make some quality stuff ✊
@@gt3gibby oh ok... nah cause ppl be sarcastic calling me monotone and shit ngl... but aye thanks cause this video specifically I put a lot of effort into so I'm happy you peeped
If you honestly look at it, OutKast has influenced hip hop more than anyone east coast or west coast. We have more Rap/ R&B artists that are way more experimental with their music & style than ever before. Kendrick, Drake, Lil Nas X, Sza, Kanye etc… I feel like these artists have more in common with OutKast than anyone, because they made it cool to look and sound anyway you want to.
@@KingBenny Most of these melodic rappers running around nowadays wouldn't have their styles were it not for groups like Bone Thugs N' Harmony. I'll say that much right now.
To be honest I think Stankonia is a classic like their other albums but it’s probably their most overrated in my opinion. There’s some skips on the project but not as much as their next two albums. But overall another classic from them.
