This is hands down the best tractor I've ran for residential snow. The power quad is a true tractor transmission that John Deere has used for years because of its responsiveness. Full control is all I can say, the ride is also like no other!
Always run the blower at the rated PTO speed. 540 rpm. You are risking breaking shear bolts if you run it at half throttle. C range sounds too fast. But I blow on gravel. I have a 6105M. These have been made since 2013.
If John Deere was able to give you delivery times, and you opted to get the brand new model, would you get the IVT transmission? Or would you still take the shuttle shift set up that you showed in this video?
If John Deere gave me guaranteed dates on when I would be receiving my tractors I would 100% purchase one IVT model to test, if the transmission made sense in terms of being able to train employees easier and be more efficient then of course I would only purchase IVT models moving forward. For now i am only interested in power-quad as I have never used an IVT. Personally I love a clutch and gears and I strongly believe that if you don’t know how to use clutch and gears you should not be in a machine that size to begin with.
Could you do a video on setting up the blower we have a 4066R with a cyclone and it seems like on inclined driveways it leaves snow behind. We service southern MN and there is maybe one other inverted blower in this city.
Nice machine, but the cost is very high for a driveway tractor. I can get a 2021 6110M same as yours with 800 plus hours for around 130k CDN or an older 6110M (2017) with a 1,000 hours for 90k, and had a chance to purchase a 2016 6110M last spring for 85k with 800 hours. It's all about keeping costs down for the client, most of mine have there own snowblowers and can just do it them selves. I did get an estimate on a new 6110M with IVT and Nokians, price 214k CDN way out of my price range. I certainly agree with you Nicholas, I am a huge fan of my 6130 as it’s my favourite large tractor, but there’s no bashing the 6110M as it is a beautiful machine. I purchased all 4 of mine for $130,000 each with 200 hours on them. Great deal in my opinion especially with a 5 year power train warranty. I personally believe in running equipment with warranty, as you scale I find there is a lot of mechanical issues and it’s necessary to be running machines that you know are covered if something where to go wrong. Keeping the cost down is very important as I agree with you Nicholas but I find running the newest equipment with warranty will always get you further at scale. In this business you need reliability and integrity in your equipment.
I still want to know how you have equipment that only makes money 3-4 months of the year and you do nothing with it and make money only working 4 months a year. The Canadian government must give you some huge grants for snow removal equipment. Wish I could do that here but we don't get that much snow here.
No grants from anyone. We have 1,900 customers on a 5.5 month terms for snow removal and there is enough profits on the table to pay for these machines all year long and run them for winters only.
@@Stefano_Narducci I don't think we could get away with that in the USA. We don't get enough snow and there's too much competition. Everybody with a pickup that does landscaping is in snow removal it seems. You can make decent money but you have to work day and night to get it when you can. Do you do whole communities there? (Neighborhoods/complexes) Some of our bigger companies will do the landscape and snow removal for the HOA in an area. Kudos, cool equipment. Good luck and be safe. I want a tractor just to play farmer with even though I haven't a farm.
awesome information I want to buy into a snow removal service and they are looking at new tractors for residential. Here I am thinking this would be overkill, but now I'm rethinking just how good this badboy would be in the fleet
