I like this bag. I have been looking far and wide for a good work/travel backpack. I was looking at the adidas. But I don’t know how well that would hold up. I need quality. And this one looks slightly soft and comfy
Can the bigger pocket in the laptop compartment fit a 17inch laptop? It's been such a pain to find a nice looking backpack that fits my big work laptop!
Flight Pack 3 lacks the laptop compartment. It's the deal breaker because I dont want everyone see my personal stuffs when I have to take out laptop at airport security
Thanks for another thorough review! I’m torn between this and the Travel Pack 3 Small. Leaning toward the TP3S because of the full organization/admin panel and extra capacity. Can’t deny that I like the overall looks of this one though!
thanks! the main compartment of the bag is actually the same. Measures about 4.5" deep. Altthough the TP3S has the extra organization, load lifters, etc, it is also 500grams heavier than the city pack pro. so if u want something just simple, i would suggest u go for that. But if u want the organization, etc, then go for the travel pack!
I have the City Pack Pro and the Travel Pack 3 (not the small but the 35 Liter bag) and I can for sure say that the TP3 and TP3S (from friends experiences) is that they have more dimension than the CPP BUT the CPP is more sleek and slim while still being able to hold a good amount. It’s a 20 bucks difference so let me know what you ended up deciding
For traveling and use as your personal item that can fit under the airplane seat.....do you recommend this bag or the Nomatic Travel Pack 20Lt ( that expands to 30 LT )?
How is the weight compared to the TP3S? Does the lack of load lifters make a big difference if you fully pack it out? Which would you pick for the best hybrid EDC and travel bag in one?
the City Pack pro is about 1200grams empty, and the TP3S is about 1750. So the city pack pro is definitely lighter, but when its on your back, you don't really notice it much. As for load lifters, it didnt make much of a difference as im not carrying really heavy things in there. if i had to choose one of these as an hybrid EDC and travel bag, I think the aer city pack pro or the fjallraven 28L would be my top picks. osprey tropos if i need more carrying capacity or im going on a hike!
@@DesmondCheng Your Tropos review convinced me to get one a year or so back. On that note, have you seen the new updated version &/or plan to review it? They added double zipper pulls to the admin compartment so the compression straps aren't as much of a hassle.
if ur happy with the travel pack 3, i dont think you need this bag. the one thing i dont like about the travel pack 3 is how high the water bottle holder sits. thats the only reason i dont always take that bag with me on daily trips!
Hey Desy, does your X100V fit nicely in the top quick access pocket? Thinking about getting this bag as my new EDC to be able to also carry the X100V in a quickly accessible way
Hi Tisa! I feel like the City Pack Pro is better! it's slightly lighter and you can use this more as an everyday carry! BUUUUTTTTT. Spoiler alert! AER is launching a new backpack on Monday March 13!!!!
