Welcome to the launch of the 2022 Devinci Spartan! This new High-Pivot Enduro bike is the culmination of thousands of hours of research and in-the-field testing by the Devinci Global Racing Team! We finally know more about those prototypes we spotted at the EWS 🤘
When Nukeproof Giga came out, it got a lot of attention and hype. After checking this, I can certain I would prefer Spartan over Giga or Mega. I do like Altitude too.
i was mountainbiking 2 years ago and stopped because of medical issue's Now i feel better and want to ride again. Sadly all bikes are nearly sold out, but i did manage to get myself a trek X-caliber 8 2022 I like the new editing style and camera work, you guys have achieved profasional video's ready for the television :D
Love the High Pivot mixed with other system designs like the Split Pivot. Also I have never ridden a Divinci bike but really love the company. I’d like to see this design morph into the 140-150mm bikes . I guess that is now the trail bike category. I’ve always since 2001 run 150mm to 160 bikes for trail . While most were running hard tails to 120 for trail . Most folks in central Illinois still keep to those suspension numbers. I like a bike that will plow the roots and rocks , climb like a goat , rail the tight corners through the woods like a slot car then have some pop . So a 28-31 lbs 150mm average full suspension bike . For my trails I’d like a mullet high pivot I think but it would have to be designed correctly . Give the aggressive trail rider a trail ripper mini version of this bike y’all
Hi! I am wondering if its a diffrence beetwhen the SR Suntour XCM 29 and the SR-Suntour 29" RLR 100 mm when it comes to jumping and landing on the coil?
On the Geometry sticker. I would have "SA, Yes it's needed for the riding position, HA, the angle of the steering, Reach, can you?, CS, from the BB to the rear axle". Split Pivot, "AH THE BIKE'S PIVOT HAS SPLIT". Tyre clearance, "26x1.75".
Wow, the level for production quality has been raised once more. I could watch „The Don in slow motion“ the whole day. Maybe an idea for Martyns analysis videos. Doddy, now would be a good time to bring Dave Weagle in as we discussed on Instagram. Ibis uses the Ripmo with only 147mm of travel in the EWS. How can some bikes „punch beyond their weight?
Hello there, first of all, it is nice to see a review a bike that is built in my hometown in Chicoutimi, Québec in Canada. They are really nice bikes. I have a question for you about heavy riders and the choices we have available for us. I have been trying to find a website or a video on the topic, and none has given a great answer for us, bigger guys. I'm 6'2'' and weigh 255 pounds. One would not guess that I weigh that much, but I do. I would like to full to best choices for heavier riders. I need a full suspension bike. I currently own a 2015 Scott Sparks which is a good overall bike, but I often find myself limited in the trail when there are bumps and even small drops. I don't intent to do 4 or 5 foot drops, but being able to ride a bike that could handle those would give me confidence to at least try them. As it is right now, I walk these parts when I find them in the trails. Thanks for answering my question and congrats on all your videos.
fabulous video! really nice to see the intent from the dev team, if I could only suggest one thing that would make that kind of video absolutely perfect, is to mix in feedback from the testers. In this video, the engineers talk about testers and athlete feedback.. great, but THEY should film their testers and athletes at the end of each test run to get first impression feedback on cam and a more comprehensive feedback at the end of a test day. The brabds really should do that, it would fit right into that kind of video. Here we mostly see the engineers... it's off balance.
Thanks for the feedback Antoine! We managed to grab Greg during the Enduro World Series but couldn't get any time with the rest of the crew as they're pretty busy!
That would be rad wouldn't it? We might not have as much elevation as Canada but we've definitely got steep, tech, chunky trails that this would be great on 🤞
Are we seeing the next big step in suspension design evolution? I know there have been a couple on the market for several years but will we be seeing companies like IBIS, Santa Cruz, Specialized & Giant release a high-pivot? Interesting time to be into MTB'n!
If it is somehow quiet and friction free, then fine. I had one bike with a top idler (Haibike) and all I have to say is KRRKRRKRRKRRKRRKRRKRRKRR ... UNBEARABLE noise non-stop when pedaling, plus you had to constantly over-lubricate the chain to keep it at a somewhat manageable level. Just my 2c. I am tempted to try something like this, but I just got a Nomad 5 three weeks ago, so no bike shopping for now.
Idler’s don’t make much noise. I’ve been riding one for a year now. You do need to keep up with chain lubrication, but idler or not you should be lubing your chain often.
I wish these bikes weren't that expensive :(( Would love to get one by myself but I would pay at least 6.500€ wich is just way too expensive. My current bike cost a bit more than the half of it and has better components
But your personal old once ? It Doesn't Matter if it's very old and have scratches can i have it for free??🙏🙏😊😊 Because im insecure with my friends have a high end bikes ...😩😩
@ 14:54 my Spartan is as quiet as a toolbox dropped from a staircase. I was waiting for devinci to drop HP bike but I'm a bit dissapointed with this one. I don't like the design / looks of this one. What's up with the seattube?! c'mon guys it's time for a straight long seatube with loooong droppers. No mullet option!
"Remember our Canadian friends sometimes ride in conditions equally bad as we do". Made me laugh you guys in the UK are missing a entire season "winter", by Canadian standards. More to Canada than Vancouver Island/lower main land "warm wet winters".😉😎.
The idler does not see the same revolution as the bottom bracket bearing, as he stated in the video. The idler at 16t shown here, will spin 2x the bottom bracket revolution with a 32t chainring... just saying.
Nice looking bike but poor quality control or poor transport.Rear wheel has major issues right out of the box. ru-vid.comUgkxHL1v1R3NE5x4KiYfyt8dnQmyNYz7qi5L Rear axle is bent! Derailleur is misaligned.Since the rear wheel comes assembled I would have expected better.Assembly instructions poorly written, but that was not unexpected...just annoying.I just had the bike checked at a shop and was told that I should contact the seller about getting a whole rear wheel assembly with cartridge. (The bike shop could not do anything to help me).Not a good experience with this bike, so lesson learned.Added 3 stars for excellent customer serviceUpdate Sept 8 2020Just received a complete replacement wheel for free. Great service and an otherwise fine bike.
