Headstock is the only thing keeping me from buying one of these.

Everyone talks about the headstock but no one talks about THAT FUXKING AWESOME RIFFING!! Terrific!!

Ok, I don’t know if this is going to work but I will try every social media platform until I get it right. I have been with my fiancé for 8 years. We’ve definitely had our fair share of ups, downs, good, bad and ugly. His name is Josh A. Mullins and he has been in love with playing the guitar since he was 11 years old. The man who started his musical dream was your dad!! Over the years he’s had a Wolfgang guitar, a 5150 amp, and many many musicians song books. Your dad was his absolute hero growing up and the two of you still .Over the course of the past 5 years we have struggled severely, he has taken care of me and my 14 year old son like his own. He has voluntarily given up all his EVH music equipment and memorabilia over the last 5 years to do this. Absolutely devastated, he never said a word. I am trying to give him the perfect thank you for everything. An autograph,snap, etc,from his hero’s. I will find a Wolfgang/ Frankenstrat for him or die trying. Ty, Shauna Bailey 🎸

That kind of headstock is the same reason why I never bought the esp kh-3. Everything else looks great though.

I like the body shape, but the headstock shape not so much. Why didn't use the headstock shape from the Wolfgang series?

Clean, minimalist look. Looks fantastic, just wish it had 24 frets. I’ve not been pulled in by any of the other EVH’s, but they got my attention here. Gotta get some time to play on one!

I have been waiting for this for ever, I have a charvel star with hs layout and kill switch I routed in the same position so I definitely am a huge fan of these!!!! Can't wait to get one... or more 😂

I have been fantasizing about this kind of guitar for years...star body...check...single pickup...check....floyd rose...check...black color way....check...kill switch!!! Yep!!! But....I will pass because of that head stock alone. The hocky stick would have been best fitting and applicable.

You guys should really focus on Quality Control before releasing new guitars. Had a Wolfgang Standard QM with unlocked nut, finger prints in the oiled neck, chipped neck pocket, and now after 4 months of use, the output jack has had it. I'm not the only one, lots of guitars even USA spec models having Quality Control Issues! Emailing EVH support just emails Fender. Eddie would be shocked and got to the bottom of this!

Though the heel on star guitars tend to be an enormous block of wood and satin finishes are a bitch to keep clean.........I do like the all-black one here. 🤩

Please make some with a fix bridge, could be any type, Tom % tailpiece, hardtail, schaller, whatever but make it a fix stable bridge. OR Even better bring back the Special HT !

To all commenters: I bought the all black stealth Star model upon release, EVH is my hero obviously. I have two black stealth 5150 with the hockey stick headstock. One is mint condition and the second is one I couldn’t pass up on that is used in player condition. What’s your opinion, should I switch out the headstocks? Hockey on the Star and Bottle on the 5150? I would have done this sooner but I then I can buy an all maple EVH Striped Series neck and put that on the 5150 instead, what is your opinion EVH fans? 🤔

Ed said he didn't like crazy shapes on his guitars, so it's a little strange to see some "V...X...crazy looking thing" come out. I know he played one briefly in the early days, but it was never his preferred style.

I feel like these are leftovers from the star, guitar striped series, probably just burning through the leftover stock, considering these are limited edition. Wish they would create a new guitar like Ed did with the original Wolfgang but they can’t because that took his brain and they don’t have that anymore. Now it’s just lame guitars like this. I knew once Ed died the company would go downhill
