When I was at School (mid 80's) there was a bubble arched Mk1 in THAT gunmetal, with Black windows....!!!! Only difference was it had Compomotive split rims with gold spokes.. Your wheel choice is mean n dirty... oof 👌 One hard looking Mk1... ❤❤❤
@@JohnSmith-ei2pz Oh god not you as well. Look at that car, who designed it? Who made the shell & everything else on it? Ford did. It's a MK1 Ford Escort shell. That's all it will ever be know as. Same as ZCars who have been modding Minis for years now. Do you see them claiming that it's no longer a Mini anymore? No you don't. Just because this company decided to put some new modern go fast bits on it, doesn't mean you can rename the vehicle. What has been done here is called 'RetroModding' There is a massive community forming around this type of work on older cars & bringing them back to life. You remind me of that kid who bought a load of Robin Reliants & then slapped DeLorean badges & crap on it & called it a brand new DeLorean...no, it's a 3 wheeled car & that's what it'll always be.

It certainly looks better than the crusty old bubble arched Mk1 Mexico I had as a first car back in '86. I swapped mine for an XR3. If I only knew, then what we all know now.

Other than exterior styling, what other differences are there between this evo model and the mk1’s you’ve offered up till now? I can’t afford one either way, but I’m curious.
Yeh, I don't know what you were on when you decided on the wheels and arches, but they seem way over the top. Kinda ruins the simple Mk1, 2 door lines of what I'm sure is an amazing car underneath
