Geoff runs down the all new Super Revolt by Lucky Duck Predator Calls. How to operate the call, the all-new features, and specs of the call are discussed. Www.verminatorpc.com
My brother bought the Revolt and I have a Foxpro Fury. I have not had a chance to play with his call. The Fox Pro has a setting where say you can preset two sounds. If you are playing a rabbit distress and you take a shot...the caller automatically plays the second preset which I would have as a pup distress. Nice little feature so your hands are free. Not sure if the Lucky Duck callers have this feature, if not...it would make a great upgrade!!
WOW....I have been using my FX3 far too long. I hear good things about LD calls, just wondering your take on sound quality and volume vs the upper end foxpro's?
Geoff, - thanks for the review. I have some questions that relate to this call in some way but really tie back to the Revolt. Here they are: 1. is the antenna compatible with the Revolt in case someone lost it they might have a better chance in getting an antenna from the SR.? 2. also is the Decoy compatible with the Revolt for the same reasons? 3. do you see future improvements where the remote gets a signal from the call in regards to Battery Power in the Call? That would be good to see the battery power and if it is low. 4. Similar to the Revolt- next time can you describe where the actual sound comes from in regards to cone - basically I assume you can paint/camo the inside area of the cone just not the center circular piece?? 5. Sure like that Brightness feature with the SR, any chance in upgrades to the Revolt remote to increase/decrease brightness? 6. Last question particular to the Revolt- is it easy to take the Revolt Remote apart and move the Rotating buttons top to bottom and bottom to top because whoever did the QAQC on my Revolt has them going in the opposite direction than what the symbol shows? I am talking about the buttons that make the Call rotate right and rotate left. They are opposite in how they actually work. I have it figured out since I use it but when others want to use it they have no clue what's wrong and what's going on. I thought I would take apart and switch those 2 buttons. Also - if you need me to test out from a consumer point of view just let me know. thanks
1 & 2 - I believe antennas are interchangeable but haven't tried it. Decoys are interchangeable. 3 - Don't know about battery indicator of call batteries on remote screen. Seems like a costly upgrade but who knows. 4 - same speaker and Amp as revolt and roughneck. I spray painted the entire speaker. 5 - Revolt remote will stay the same as far as I know. That's where the added cost comes from on SR is because your getting the better remote! 6 - Buttons are right on SR but don't know how hard it is to take apart, I haven't tried
I just started using my Revolt here in South Central MN right before the new year. I've done 4 stands so far and brought 1 coyote in to about 600 yards. Not knowing what I'm really doing, I was curious how you normally start a stand? Do you start with rabbits or prey then switch to howls or vice versa? Any help would be greatly appreciated. BTW love The Last Stand series.
Totally off topic; but In some of your earlier DVD’s you always had these little plastic legs clamped onto your shotgun barrel to keep it out of the dirt. Where did you get those or what were they called so I can try and find one?
Geoff, what did you see for real use battery life? Western Kansas all day wind and cold use, using the rotating feature frequently? Even colder at night when using thermal? Is the battery pack listed on Lucky Duck's website interchangeable? It says it's compatible with a handful of the calls, but not the Super Revolt. I like to have a backup battery for all weekend, day and night calling. Might not have access to charge a battery for three hours. Thanks. Enjoyed the review and your Last Stand videos.
Yee the battery pack works in SR...highly recommend over normal batteries. I'm guessing you could run the call like you mentioned for 2 straight days before charging
Geoff make a remote base for it with WHEELS so it can be driven like a remote control car , When spotted , it can be moved and that would distract the critters to follow it and not look for the hunters.
i just bought the super revolt and it was working fine until i made folders. Now when i try to pair the caller and the remote it sits there and loads for 5-10 minutes then it finally connects.
A lot of guys using Foxpro. Same same sounds. If you hunt pressured areas yotes have heard Bay Bee Cottontail over and over. Lucky Duck not only sounds better IMO but more importantly, totally different sounds vs Foxpro.
I was having trouble with super revolt, every time I turn it on it wud update, I didn't know you was supposed to take SD card out after update was finished.
I watched this video right before I went out shot-gunning today and called in my first double with this caller. The only problem was the coyote spotted the decoy, which I learned how to turn on and didn't like it. 😒
When you hunt as much as I do you gotta use the best man! The Rebel is good for someone who hunts a couple times a season and will call in coyotes, but all the added features you get on upper end calls are game changers!
@@GeoffNemnich Guess I'll get a fox pro then. Lol I'm joking I have a revolt and love it. I also have a roughneck coming in the mail and of its as good or better then the revolt I won't regret the purchase. Love all you guys content. Keep it up.
can someone please explain to me why a speaker that does nothing but play animal noises is worth $700? should be like $60, max. i could just bring a portable speaker out and play some calls off of youtube really loud.
we have the revolt, and have had so many issues with the remote. LOVE the call, but the remote isn't good. You guys have been good to replace them, but once again, it's not working right. The spin button doesn't stop the spin; and the sound selected doesn't play the right sound. We haven't done anything to the SD card, so don't know why the sounds are off again. It's annoying when the call keeps spinning when you have a coyote see it, and you can't turn it off. Any suggestions??
You're right it shouldn't be causing you all those issues. If you've went thru different remotes and it's still doing it wonder if issue could be in the call not the remote. I would call the Lucky Duck customer service number and see what they can do to get the issue corrected for you.
I had the same issue with the remote. Riot then outlaw. Call would just play a random sound other than the sound I had selected. Loved ricks sounds and the call sounded fine but too many bugs. I just wanted it to work right so bad. My first Riot just straight up quit 3 months in. Ricks replaced it which was great but like iv said the call didn’t always play the right sound. The toggle in the center of the new ldx remote is raised and drove me crazy. No reason for it to be there or raised it’s just in the way. Remote is also too thick. Compared to the tx1000 that fits nicely in your hand. I’d love to own one that worked correctly. Between the calls and sounds I bought from Rick I’ve spent around $1300 on lucky duck. Just been thoroughly disappointed. Geoff and Rick are great and I hope lucky duck gets all these issues figured out.
@@GeoffNemnich gotcha gotcha. The question was supposed to be directed to Kathe….only reason I’m asking is because I had similar problems with my Revolt until I switched to the LD Lithium pack in the call and Energizer Ultimate Lithium’s in the remote. When using the AA battery cradle in the call and cheapo AA’s in the remote, the call was super unresponsive to what I did on the remote. Hit Pause and the call would keep playing, hit Rotate and it wouldn’t rotate, or it would and wouldn’t stop rotating….almost seemed as if there wasn’t enough juice to send/receive signals but that’s just an uneducated guess as I’m not that electronically savvy
