Competing in the Battle Frontier is only possible after beating the Pokémon League in the games so essentially he did get something worth more than a Pokémon League trophy.

Well Ash now intends to compete in the Pokemon World Championships, which is honestly perfect as a direct step-up to Ash winning a regional league (the Alola League), so I'm interested to see if Ash will have to fight past champions. He's already shown the ability to at least cause notable damage to Leon's Charizard at such an early point in the story and he's also, with Greninja (who they better bring back because Ash traveling the world creates the perfect opportunity for this), overwhelmed Diantha and almost won if not for the fact that he hadn't mastered the Ash-Greninja form yet

Yes art style is different from animation. I do want to say the battle animation for Pokemon Sun and moon tends to be a step above from previous seasons

@@inamdaryasin Agreed. Also, people compare this to the Kalos League, but I think this is better for 2 reasons: 1. The Kalos League was HELLA rushed. In the second episode of the league, Ash is already moving on to the semifinals. 2. We weren't ultra-cucked like in Kalos

Yeah I'm really surprised how people reacted to this. Cuz the Orange League and the Battle Frontier I feel were more worthwhile challenges, but I understand it's the image of the thing, not the substance

I might rewatch the orange league i remember a few parts i just remembered their was challenges ash had to do like in alona like make ice,carry the dam ice up a mountain make a dam boat of the ice and now we ski to see who reaches the bottom fast.they were fun oh and the water gun sharp shooting part good times plus a shyther that spins away everything.

Before Pokemon sun and moon happen the owner of the Pokemon tv company said in an interview that Ash ever won a league he was going end the series. He was mad that people were mad at them about Ash losing on the Pokemon anniversary in such a way.

It was actually decided from the start of the sun moon anime that Ash would win the league

@@stampoulisrafail7836 I know however people fell robbed big time. Especially seeing as Kalos set the bar even higher then Sinnoh did. For the people who don't accept it Kalos was where they felt he was at his peak and where he deserved to win the most. So for him to lose that only to win this league where he was "On vacation" had very little real competitipn (Due to the letting anyone join making the competition be filled with mostly newbie trainers) and plot armor (I don't see it as such but other do) to make him win certain fights when previously reverse plot armor was used to make him lose it is no wonder people are refusing to accept this win. In other words had he won any other league (Especially Kalos) no one would be complaining about the win.

I feel dissatisfied too. Ever since I saw that interview I know the truth. The owner of the Pokemon anime said if ashes ever win he's going to end the series. He was wondering why he got so much backlash when Ash lost the previous league on their anniversary. To the point where the Pokemon games have to give ashes Pokemon in the game demo so they showed that they didn't support the anime.

I feel very dissatisfied as well. Not only does this victor feel hallow, given how pathetic most of the competitors in this League were, but if this is the end for Ash's journey it's the definition of going out on a whimper instead of a bang, this Ash isn't an awesome badass who has grown tremulously over his journey, that was Sinnoha nd Kalos Ash, and maybe Jhoto and Hoenn, but not this Ash. This Ash is acting like an immature kid and while Ash does still have those moments in the previous regions, he was usually able to balance them with being serious in Sinnoh and Kalos. Basically, this is not how it should have ended. They could have had him win Kalos or at least end up with Serena at the end, but no. They could have ended it at Sinnoh, even if he didn't win the League that fact that he beat his best rival ever(Paul) in an epic 3 part 6v6 Battle, and the fact that he brought all his old Pokemon back for that League, is ending worthy. Heck, even Jhoto to some extent could have been the end for Asj given how he finally beat his long time childhood rivial Gary after all this time. All of these examples would have been good endings for Ash's journey, but here this isn't a good ending. So I do hope Ash's journey continues and they give a proper ending in Galar, like winning an actual challenging official League or ending up with Serena, or even beating the Champion, just something better then what Sun and Moon gave us.

Yeah there's a lot to be dissatisfied with here. You can probably tell from the video, but yeah I don't have that much faith with the anime's direction so I'll take whatever they give in stride, but I don't agree with them

ZexalBrony479 being more laidback does not equate to being less mature. Through this series ash learns the value of gratitude as well as learns to step back and enjoy life, while previous ashes just breezed through the regions as quick as possible. Also sun and moon covered many sensitive topics such as death and PTSD. Ash learns lots of important things about the values of life and friendship. He helps Lillie understand her phobias, and Mallow mourn over her dead mother. He isn’t immature at all, in fact he may be the most mature over all his predecessors.

​@@kalebdoesstuff5648 I'm just not going to pretend to be satisfied when I think on previous leagues where Ash got screwed over by narrative only for it to be on the other foot this time around. It's a hollow victory and if its the last league Ash participates in or wins it'll be the thing everyone remembers. If you're cool with that then at least someone got something out of it.

@@trycon40 if we go by your logic then none of the leagues Satoshi was in were offical and here is why. Because in the games after you beat the gyms (or trials in gen 7) THe player goes straight to the elite 4 then after beating them battle the champ. None of the leagues in the anime including the Kalos everyone worthship's followed the game formula because they all went into a tournament style league. Hell the closest thing if we go by that logic that we had to an "official" league would be the very league that everyone refuses to count AKA the orange league. In that Satoshi had to go through 4 people (AKA the elite 4) then battle Darke (in this case the champ) to win.

@@stuvvi only final battle against Brandon, Kukui is bigger challenge than Brandon when it comes to 6vs6 and Gladion is as big challenge when Brandon only use 1 regi.
