What do i need to reach that goal? Do i really want that? why? who do i want by my side? and all other stuff that make me build and work a better version of myself, or at least, a version that i will be proud of. Thanks m8

I was brought up being told that I was exceptionally smart, "smarter than everyone else." I had no trouble grasping math, spelling, etc., and at some point around 4th grade, I began shirking my homework because I started to realize I could pass my classes by getting good test scores, often without studying, just making logical guesses at the questions. I was developing an intellectual superiority complex. At first the homework was easy but boring, but as time went on, as I grew increasingly disinterested in the subject matter, it came to the point where I was failing my classes to an extent that no amount of test-taking skills could solve, and I was so far behind that half the time I couldn't figure out the homework even if I mustered up the motivation to do it. Algebra and Trigonometry elude me to this day. Compiling that with a pot-smoking habit since I was 15, I'm 30 now, and I'm the dumbest person I know. I thought myself so smart I didn't have to try, and in that complacency I grew stupid. A Mark Twain quote comes to mind, "The man who does not read has no advantage over the man who cannot read." It takes an absurdly long time to compose my thoughts, as I'm constantly adrift in foggy-headedness. It took about two hours to put this comment together. I'm a slow thinker. I went to college for one year and failed almost all my classes. I've been unemployed for the last 16 months. I have no skills and I doubt my ability to work. I'm in poor health. I have several addictions which seem hopeless to overcome. I'm perpetually miserable. I just want to find love but I'm emotionally stunted, flat broke and patently undateable. My only saving grace is that I've managed so far to avoid siding with a political party, although that's slightly more of a moral choice than an intelligent one. Sorry for the rambling, long-winded, relatively irrelevant comment. Its purpose is to demonstrate a counterpoint to the story of the Amara who succeeds despite having learning disabilities, by presenting my failure in light of apparent advantages. A funny thing I noticed recently: spelling every word correctly never meant I was smart as much as it meant that I'm anal retentive. Well, if anyone reads this, cheers. I hope the timeline of your universe turns out all right in the end.

@@tuddgrimley8532 I can relate. I was constantly told that I was smart and "going places" as a young child. I feel like that just gave me a superiority complex and an unwillingness to take any risks. I didn't want to look or feel "stupid", right? Well now I'm nearly forty and despite some social improvements I've made over the years (I was UNBELIEVABLY shy until my mid twenties), I'm in debt, have no degree or specialized high-paying skills, still don't know what the hell to do with my life, and feel a crushing sense of regret and hopelessness. But hey I have a huge interest and knowledge of esoteric topics like history/evolution/the occult, so people sometimes still consider me "smart". Smart, yup, and miserable. The thing is we truly don't knw anything, as at any point anything can happen.. so the best thing is To accept it and reflect on it on why this occurred and to grow to from that experience. As constantly we are growing... For example let me give u an situation of my life.. Yesterday i had gone to buy some noodles and chips with my younger brother , i wanted to smoke some cigarettes so i told him to leave me in a shop and he would go and buy those items i gave him the money.. when he returned he didn't stop infront of me and continued riding forward i thought to call to him as i had seen him before he even reached near me but something stopped me.. and i couldn't call , after some time he returned when i asked him about it he said that dad had come to purchase something and he had seen him so if he had stayed infront me i would have also gotten caught.. so when he sped dad went after him. Then he stopped and dad scolded him why he was out in this covid situation.. when i heard this i thought of my inability to call my brothers name.. and thought was it instinct that sensed something problematic or was it god. Now when we reached home i told him to tell the family i had gone out for breakfast and i met u when returning and u picked me up there.. but there was lot of scolding . Then a thought came to me what if i had bought some sweets for my grandparents i could have said i was gone for that.. and not hear any scoldings or maybe i would have.. but u see something learned yesterday was elements and variables. In the scenario which happened Had four elements me, my brother, chips and noodles, my dad a scenario played out where i was getting scolding.. In the second scenario there would have been five elements me, my brother, chips and noodles, my dad, sweets for my grandparents.. whether the outcome would change.. by dad not focusing on me as i had gone in housework and was just not roaming... U see this knowledge i got of elements and how it going to affect the thread of possibilities is so interesting and it will also me consciously or unconsciously( by being a instinct)

I don't like this quote, and I'll explain why I feel this way. If strength means power: was every tyrant throughout history not strong? The Nazis were strong men who created bad times. There have also been strong men who created good times; after all, the soldiers who fought against the Nazis were also strong men. This kind of strength doesn't specifically create good or bad times; it can do both. If strength refers to virtue and/or mental/emotional resilience, the question becomes more interesting. We know that things such as trauma, poverty, etc. cause higher crime rates and increased mental illness. So looking at this, we could say that bad times create weak men. HOWEVER, there is also data that shows that the extremely rich are more disconnected from conventional morality. So looking at this, it could be said that good times create weak men. I suppose an explanation of why I dislike this quote is because it gives a very black and white view of a complicated, fluid set of causes, conditions and effects that behave completely differently with every single situation. Life is messy, and you really never know when or how strength or weakness will arise.

I've thought about many worlds since I was old enough to grasp the concept. (As much as I can) I hadn't even heard of until 10 years ago. So I didn't have a name for it for 20 years. I always had a very intense urge to stop in the middle of something and do something random, and sometimes dangerous, and even illegal. Most times I didn't. But some of the most "real" experiences I've had, have been those choices where I actually did commit to following intuition. So be random. You may just remember it forever, good or bad. My 2 cents.

Thank you for this video. For all videos you've made. I'm watching you for a long time and they helped me in the darkest times. I'm making a video game about fighting inner deamons, about life, choices we make and about not giving up. Since my childhood I've been throught a lot. Even when it started to be better and I've started my project my whole world has crumbled due to some events. I felt like I don't want to wake up next day. This was something worse than depression, the thing I've struggling with in the past. I'm using a quote in my game "As long as you're alive there's still a spark of hope." And there is one. I knew that the rainy days will be over and thanks to the things that happened to me I will be able to help others. I will be able to achieve what I want. I will be able to prove others wrong. It was a long ride but I was able to continue the development of my game. And now we started a Kickstarter campaign and succeeded in first few days. I can't agree more that disadvantages can become advantages. It's up to use if we strive and fight or give up. Thank you for your work. You help a lot of channels. In my Oddventure I add references to my inspirations. And I will use "Pursuit of Wonder" somewhere, for sure. :) Have a good day everyone!

If you can't get somewhere, get anywhere. If you can't be the first, be the next. If you can't be liked by everyone, be liked by the few who love you. Saying it's a privilege to be alive opens up a whole can of worms. Why do most people plainly ignore the moral argument that we aren't given a choice when we are conceived and consequently birthed? It's not like my "soul" signed a contract before I was birthed into this world. It's not like I was given a list of all suffering and privilege and joy and sorrow and etc. and reconsidered ALL my options before I hit the "yes" button on the conception device! Not saying I disagree with the notion of "small chance", but there are simply more things to consider...

Growth is demanded by discomfort. Discomfort is a requirement for growth. Without worry, why do anything? Boredom, pain, envy, sadness, fear, these are motivators. You don't need to glorify suffering to understand that the greatest potential for growth comes from escaping discomfort. People who lead impactful lives do so, because they see living as an active process and outcomes as a deliberate goal they work to achieve. People who see life passively, exist in comfort or discomfort, and eventually age and die stagnant individuals. This story isn't a glorification of suffering it's a reminder that you can't choose the life you're given, but you CAN choose to make the most of it, and that through effort you can rise above the expectations to choose a future you find favorable. A good "life" is "lived" well. It's easy to say you could have had an easier life and perhaps you could or can, but why exactly would you want it, especially if you don't work for it? I hope you are actively living your life and have a Merry Christmas.

I knew this when I was somewhere around 4. I remember telling my mom there were other people named me, living now and in the past, the had been on my path before. I am sure she thought I was talking about the route to the grocery store, but I wasn’t. We are all connected.....like it or not. You may as well like it bc it will never be changed.

I don’t think I tried to tell anyone or thought of it as a path but I imagined there were other mes. I think I thought they were identical selves in identical worlds though and not nearly-identical in alternate worlds. I don’t think it ever occurred to me again after about the age of eight or nine, probably because to become socialized is to become somewhat jaded to reality

I narrate my life. I say what’s happening around me, in my head. I have done for as long as I can remember. I often think about whether or not it would make a good novel, despite the fact I write none of it down. I do it because I know that in some reality, perhaps even this one, someone one is writing it down, keeping track. Somebody is interested.

I believe it's all captured in detail by a very advanced camera type system and played back to us in the review of our life, after we leave this world for the next.
