Do we need to pick measly bugs one by one?? Wow I didn't know you can propagate it with just a little bit. Beautiful view from the top..😍Thanks for sharing your beautiful video, informative 👍 full watched for my dear Molly
Picking them out us one method of getting rid of mealies. If course you can stay them too. This is taken at my sis in law's house. Thanks so much for visiting and commenting on my video and the full watch too, my friend 🙏
@@mollycher3630 I can tell it's your family house, because I see different footage. 😍😅 but I didn't know it was your sis in law. Thanks for taking me around
Thanks for coming by, Emely. 👏👏❤️😍 I do appreciate that you feel my video is helpful especially in the 3 ways of propogating the byblis . So happy to share. I've subscribed to your channel. Support my gardening channel, Emely. 🙏🧡👏❤️😍
Interesting looking carnivorous plant Molly. It has identical flowers to my Butterworts (Pinguicula). These are very handy in catching those annoying fungus gnats lol. Do you have any other carnivorous plants? Thank you for sharing Molly, have an awesome weekend 👍🏻☀️🌵🌸
Hi Daz, I really did think it was an intriguing plant as soon as I got introduced to it by my sister-in-law. They're all her plants. So I immediately thought about doing a video on it. I've haven't started my carnivorous collection.....YET! 😜😜😜 I'm concerntrating on my bromeliads first and then airplants. You have an awesome weekend too, Daz. Thanks for watching and commenting as always! 👍👍👏👏
Actually they aren't too difficult to care for. The hanging ones are at the balcony so when it rains they get showered even on a daily basis. Otherwise during dry weather it every other day. Mealies seem to love them so usually they're hand picked or sprayed with dish washer soup.
Hi Elaine! I just so happened to be on YT answering comments and there popped your question. I use the normal potting mix already prepared in a bag bought from a nursery. It should be the same everywhere I presume. Thanks for watching my video 🙏
Hi Vivant Arrangement! The best place would be under partial shade. In my video they're all planted and propogated at the veranda where they get half day sun exposure.
Hi Jhon, no it's not sphagnum moss. It's potting mix. Water and sphagnum moss are only used during propogation but for further growth, we use potting soil. But potting soil can also be used for propogation.
@@mollycher3630 can you use a bamboo soil? Cause as what i know is that they only grow on sphagnum. Mine is growing good now. But theyre like half an inch and others are too small
Jhon Paulo Fernando Jhon, I’ve never used or heard about bamboo soil. I’ve only used the 3 different mediums I shared on the video. If yours are growing then bamboo soil is ok too. Maybe you can try putting yours under partial shade if you haven’t already. I’ve found this to be a good environment for them. Good luck, Jhon.
@@mollycher3630 thank you molly. Its just that the person where i got the plant said that they only grow on sphagnum moss and would die if put on a soil
@@JP-hb4oz as what I've shared on my video, it can be propogated 3 ways. Maybe that method of using sphagnum moss is the only way he knew about at that time. I'm just guessing.
wonder if those are dangerous of just a way to prevent and evolve. So far i have only known of the touch me not since the effect on it tremendous and can be seen. I use to have one but long ago died in absence of care. but this variety is entirely different concept.
Hi Molly! What a fatal beauty! I don't know what to think about him! I usually associate plants with beauty and tranquility, and this guy is somewhat sinister. Hahaha. I love the flowers on it, so pelargonium like. And Daz is right, looks like the bloom of a Pinguicula. I bet they are related species. I have got to get one of these guys to keep the mosquitos away. 😊 You did a great job sharing information on this strange beauty Molly and I'm sure they'll be great conversation starters in your already beautiful garden. Thank you for sharing something new and so very interesting. From the garden city of India to Malaysia, have a fantastic Sunday! God bless. Cheers.
Hi Carl, thanks for your fantastic comments as usual. You're right, it is an unusual beauty. Who would have thought a pretty plant like that could be a carnivorous. It was awesome seeing the trapped insects.i was hooked and right away wanted to share the unusual beauty. From M'sia to India, happy gardening Carl!! 😃😃
