Sir, Varaah roopam in Kantara is not same as varaah avataar of Vishnu. In Kantara he is lord Panjurli, who was a boar raised by devi Parvathi. After it grew up and started destroying the crops of Kailasa, Mahadev sent it to earth (because crops could be grown with great difficulty in Kailasa because of harsh environment). Panjurli also used to have usual and regular brawls with another boar known as Guliga, who was much more fierce and notorious. Mahadev sent it too alongwith Panjurli and ordered both of them to help the people of earth collaboratively. Thus Panjurli assumed the version of a peaceful calmer vardayak version whereas Guliga assumed a much ugra role, whose purpose was to punish the sinners. Thus they tried to create balance between peace and rage. That's why the character in the beginning says that even if Lord Panjurli pardons you, Lord Guliga will not. That is also why the main character in Kantara is named Shiva and his tree house was named Kailasa. Varaah avataar of Lord Vishnu is completely different and has no relation with Lords Panjurli and Guliga, who are the kuldevatas of the native people of Karnataka.

Correct...I come from Tulunadu region and can confirm this, actually subtitles that mentioned as avatar of Vishnu that have confused the audiences a bit...this Varaha roopam is description of Daivas and not related to Vishnu's varaha avatar

@@shivanksingh6468 Varaah Rupam Daiva (not Dev) means the Demigod (and not God) with the form of boar..Varishtham means supreme..so the complete line in Sanskrit word to word translation means The Demigod who has the form of boar and who is supreme.. Don't put the search criteria on Google as "varaah rupam daiva varishtam meaning"..instead translate word to word with Sanskrit and you would know there is no reference made to either Vishnu or his 3rd incarnation.
