Im from Croatia 🇭🇷 and love Hindu religion and Sanatana teachings... 1. Matsya (fish avatar - Aquatic creatures) 2. Kurma (tortoise avatar - Terrestrial reptile) 3. Varaha (boar, avatar - Mammal) 4. Narasimha (part-lion, part-man avatar - semi ape) 5. Vamana (human dwarf avatar - first ape) 6. Parashurama (Axe wielding sage avatar with fierce temperament born to balance evil ruthless warriors) 7. Rama (Idealistic prince avatar with idealistic temperament born to balance rakshasa class) 8. Krishna (perhaps Closest personalitywise avatar to Vishnu born to balance adharma) 9. Buddha (A prince avatar born to fight internal demons that dwell in corrupt imbalanced human mind) 10. Kalki
actually in some stories buddha is not the avatar of vishu but instead of him a beautiful women avatar named mohini is the avatar, it is said tht vishnu took this avatar to tempt the devils from drinking the amrutham ( the elixir of immortality) and vishnu also used this avatar to defeat the arrogant demon bhasmasura and this avatar is the mother of lord ayappa this all is mentioned in the vishnu puranam many people misconcept buddha to be one avatar becase he is spiritual but it is never clearly mentioned except this detail every other information given is correct
@@MrGamer-wq4tb actually mohini is not considered one of the 10 main avatar of vishnu and in versions where buddha is not a avatar the number 8 avatar is balaram and 9 is krishna
you are really have some wrong idea the Hindu mythology is totally fictional characters , those exist have not in this earth any time any place in our world , you should thought about Islam Religion ,
The reason for Narasimha's peculiar form is due to the Demon Hiranyakashipu's boon. He was granted a boon which stated he cannot be killed neither on Earth nor the sky, neither during the day nor the night, neither indoors nor outdoors and, by any known weapon, man or beast. Thus practically invincible in most circumstances. However Narasimha was neither a man nor a beast, he used his claws instead of any weapon, they were at the threshold so neither indoor nor outdoor, it was twilight so neither day nor night and Narasimha put him on his laps after incapacitating the demon so the latter was neither on the Earth nor the sky.
Rama and Krishna will always be my favorite, Rama with his epic battle with the Rakshasha Ravana with the army of the monkeys led by Hanoman, I mean even the monkeys is so cool like they build a bridge of the battles like so fast Krishna and his funny behaviour as a child really expose us Vishnu's cheerful side, when Krishna lift up the mountain by his pinky is so cool let alone playing his flute with one hand is just a chef kiss🤌 And I am a muslim
Well, that was not a monkey army, the army was described as "Vanara" in Ramayana, and it means "Man from wild" or "people who live in wild" so they could have been humans who were in evolution phase as they had some resemblance to monkeys, like having a tail. But they were not completely monkey
For those who don't know the story of hiranyakashyapu is quite interesting. He had a blessing that he can't be killed either in day or night, neither inside the house nor outside, neither on land nor in air, neither by a man, God or beast. So, The Narsimha avatar is half-human, half- beast. He got killed on his lap during the time of evening at the doorstep
@tatedagreat It’s funny you mention that because my inspiration for the story I was working in was making an Indian inspired hero in a fantasy world. Think Wizard of Oz meets last airbender. And it all came from me seeing Kamala Khan( yes I know she’s Pakistani) and being disappointed in how she was handled and saying to myself I could write a better character. But yes. Hindu mythology is great and if leveraged well could add to the actual diversity of stories in reflecting the human condition but from a different perspective.
the reason was that kalyug got to sit in on their head because it begged and wanted space too in existence so it was not completely destroyed (it was like chaos) and he was only dedicated to ParamBrahman Shiv
Just a mild correction, the chariot on which Arjuna and Lord Krishna were fighting the battle had not 4 but 5 horses that depict and symbolise our 5 senses. It is particularly as to why Lord Krishna is also called Hrishikesh which translates to the Controller of the 5 senses.
@@parthkapadia9793 the meaning is that. Because of Maya we lose our sense to the material world. So let Krishna (God) control your senses and victory shall be achieved.
@@charlesdarwin5185 Krishnasthu Bhagawan swayam. srimad Bhagwatham says this. That's enough statement. Krishna is God. Krishna is Everything Everywhere all at once.
These are ten main avatars of Vishnu. Bhagavatam(one of the Sacred texts, contains stories of God and his devotees) mentions 22 avatars. But narrator in that text(Shuka Muni) himself says the total avatars of Vishnu cannot be measured.
As an hindu I really appreciate this video! But there is very small mistake about Lord Ram: During the Vanvasa Sitamaiya (Sita) saw a golden fawn (baby deer) Sitamaiya wanted that fawn and she said to Lord Ram "Can we keep that fawn with us, until his mother is not there?" Lord Ram agreed to it, but when Lord Ram with his brother had gone to catch it, Lord Ram noticed that it wasn't a normal fawn it was a demon which was sent by Ravan. But till that Ravan had kidnapped Sitamaiya. * * * * * * * * Love from India 🇮🇳🇮🇳 🚩Jai shree Ram 🚩
that almost seems Sita wanted to kidnap the fawn. Why did she want to keep the fawn until his mother shows up? How would the fawn's mother know where the fawn is? Did Sita extend the same courtesy to all the other animals in the forest? Seems like she saw a golden fawn and got greedy.
Okay that fawn is meant for a gift to her family in valmiki Ramayana or if that fawn died. Its skin can be used for rugs where bhagwaan ram and sitamaiya can sit. About eating animals, Ram is kshatriya and it is very clear both in ramayana and Mahabharata that they can eat them if they want it or need it. Because in war or a difficult situation, you have to eat whatever you can. Also anyone can eat them if they want to or need to. It just should not be harming their population or if you pledge for not eating them, then you should not eat them like many Rishi who pledged to not eat them because they reject every materialistic thing.
Wait… that first one sounds very similar to Noah… 😳 Also interesting how his avatars line up with what we believe is how humans evolved to live on land. Started from sea dwelling animals (fish) then semi-land (turtle - they come on land to lay eggs) then boar (land) then lion etc.
@@Jane_sann which archaeological survey or group found that?... Can I please see any proofs. And the second thing is Noah doesn't need to necessarily understand Sanskrit... He might have seen this In real and modified his story... You know Noah was a wanderer
Excellent video 👍, my favorite avatar is Rama, can you make a video about the Centaurides and the Satyress, to see the female versions of the Centaurs and the Satyrs 🧐, please 🥺, Greetings from Paraguay 🇵🇾
Theory of Evolution was proposed in 19th century. The Dashavatars are documented in Agni Purana, Varaha Purana, Padma Purana, Linga Purana, Narada Purana, Garuda Purana, and Skanda Purana. Few are dated back to 800 CE. While I can't prove what is right and what is wrong. But imagine a civilization proposing this centuries before evolution theory was pitched. They certainly knew things more than what we know today...
I, myself, am a hindu with special interest in mythology. I really respect the effort they have put in research and animating the video, without disrespecting and misconveying hinduism
Buddha is not anyones avatar.he was just a human like us..he didn't preach Hinduism nor he's a hindu himself.he was born in a hindu family that's it!!!Buddha is Buddha no ones avatar.
Please show mahavishnu (the one you showed in the start) as Smiling and cheerful because he is always ever smiling as he knows everything already what will happen next so he is always smiling.... He is know for his mysterious and benevolent smile. 😊🙏 Ps:- and yes he THE MOST HANDSOME AND BEAUTIFUL GOD AMONG ALL UNIVERSE and just to see him all gods and goddesses and everyone go crazy just for his one glance of what we call as Darshan 🙏😊
He's the Ultimate and he takes avatar to maintain the Dharma and teach humanity about dharma.... Otherwise he's so powerful that with every breath of his one universe is made and is destroyed
@@sarazkekule6201bro Buddha was born Hindu, but he founded his own teachings, of course having similarities to Hinduism but not completely same, so saying Buddhism comes from Hinduism is extreme correction- Hinduism is a relatively newer term, during Buddha's time it was just the Sanatan Dharma so he was born a Sanatani not Hindu.
Bruh what archaeological proofs are there ? Don't come with literature evidences as they don't validate as History by Archaeologist I'll be happy to be proven wrong ✌🏻
Man this is beautiful. I know these verses but never knew their meaning till now. Makes me wonder how many Sanskrit verses I know whose meaning would make their impact so much greater.
By the way, the word dharma is being translated into religion which is inaccurate. Dharma is "the eternal and inherent nature of reality, regarded in Hinduism as a cosmic law underlying right behavior and social order." So it is more about how you conduct yourself and the rules you follow in your life rather than the belief in a supreme being.
Bali or Mahabali was allowed to come and sit with his subjects for a day; we call this ONAM. Bali is also one of the immortals. Vamana did this because of how true and humble Bali was. The State of Kerala celebrates this without religious differences.
There is said to be over 20 avatars of Lord Vishnu. 10 are choosen to represent Human Evoloution. 1. Matsya (fish avatar - Aquatic creature, only can live in Water) 2. Kurma (tortoise avatar - Can live on land and water) 3. Varaha (boar, avatar - land dwelling Mammal) 4. Narasimha (Half man, half Lion, Man with animal instincts) 5. Vamana (Man but not fully devolped yet) 6. Parashurama (Fully developed Man, becomes Hunter, Mankind's first job) 7. Rama (King. Able to govern forces and raise battles) 8. Balarama( Farmer. Man kind learnt how to farm after hunting and fighting wars) 9. Krishna (Superior intellect, wrote books and flourish at the arts) 10. Kalki( Will end it all after Mankind misued their intelligence for all types of evil and vice)
Then u just debunked it doesn't represent evolution... putting his different avatars in a linear way where it is similar to evolution doesn't make it evolution
@@changtaichemandishira9913 I never said history. I simply said religion. If Islam and Christianity are religions the same is Hinduism, Nordic faith, etc. For me Hinduism, Islam, Christianity and all other religions are mythological only. The issue is everything needs to be seen with the same glass. Why Islam and Christianity religion while Hinduism and Nordic stories myth. Just because you want to feel superior. Humans crave culture and not religion. They just don't want to accept from within.
Whenever the evil rises and the virtue gets oppressed in this world, To save the Saints and destroy the Sinners To Establish Order and Dharma , I appear in every age 🙏🏻 - Vishnu , The protector
Some more lore about the characters. 1. Hiranyakashyap and Hiranyaksha were siblings as well as a reincarnation of the Shri Vishnu's Gatekeepers due to the curse of Kumars. When Hiranyakashyap performed the penance to please Brahma and ask for boon, his residence was attacked by Indra, but his wife was protected by sage Narada, for she was sinless, it was while living in his ashrama and hearing Hari chants that Prahlada became a great devotee to Shri Vishnu. 2. Shri Parshuram (Parshu = Axe) is a chiranjeevi (immortal), it was his bow gifted to him by Lord Shiva, and then gifted to King Janak, father of Mata Sita. When the divine bow was broken by Shri Ram, during the swayamvar, a furious Parshuram arrived to punish whoever did that. He was also the teacher to two warriors in Mahabharat Gangaputra Bhishma and Angaraj Karna. He was held at bay by Shri Krishna to not intervene in the war of Mahabharata.
I may be an atheist, but I gotta say, my favorite out of these 9 has to be a tie between Krishna and Buddha. Krishna's charming personality helps me understand why a lot of people worship him, and Buddha is such a calm, peaceful man that I would honestly be willing to worship if I was religious. I can also agree with what you said at the end about him 💖
A small Correction: In Sita Swayambar, the task was not to take a bow and shoot at 7 trees, but rather to tie the bowstring of Pinaak (Lord Shiv's divine bow). No other person could even lift the bow, except Lord Ram, and when he went to tie the string, it broke the bow with such a loud sound, that Lord Parshuram came to this event, which then leads to the infamous Lakshman-Pashuram Samvaad Great Video btw😇😇
- This is not a mythology - The characters created are quite creepy. - Our Religion is Sanatan Dharma which means eternal law. - Birth Dates 1. Lord Ram: He is believed to have been born in Treta Yuga, which many scholars and Hindu texts approximate to around 7,000 to 5,000 BCE. 2. Lord Krishna: He is said to have been born in Dwapara Yuga, with estimates placing his birth around 3,000 to 3,100 BCE. 3. Lord Buddha: Siddhartha Gautama, who later became known as Buddha, is widely believed to have been born around 563 BCE in Lumbini, present-day Nepal.

An atheist hindu but surely the hindu ideas in the gita , the buddhist pali canon , the gospel of mark & the tao te ching are basically my foundational morals in adulthood. For i think the basic idea of dharma or the tao or the logos is to search for truth and swim in its depths , so i separete my views as an atheist for the material world and my views as a fellow human contending with order and choas in the modern day world. Nagarjuna & Apostle Paul's writings are also very deep. Some sufi islmic philosophers are also a delight.
Funny enough. If you research pretty much all ancient cultures and tribes, they all have a world floodment every single one of them. And if you research glaciology in the last glacial maximum, you realize the flood was when the ice age. Ended in the younger Dryas around 10000 BC.
I saw you did one on The Buddha himself not that long ago. May I suggest doing a few on the Bodhisattvas as well? They have some really interesting stories.
Prince Sidharth Goutam also known as Goutam Budh was a prince from India with Nepali haritage who traveled the world no 🧢, but Buddhist and chainese claim him to be from their side despite knowing his real name just because nepali people and people with nepali heritage also have Asian eyes
10 avatars depicts the evolition of humans throughout yugas (era) not just physically but mentally. Let me explain: 1) matsya (a water animal) 2) kurma (an amphibian) 3) varaha (a land animal) 4) narsimha (half man- half animal) 5) vamana (a human child) *From here we will see the mental growth* 6) parshurama (a grown human but simple and single-minded) 7) rama (a human that follows all the rules and is righteous, but becuse of this he and his family faced a lot of problems in life. We all know how life treats us when we are rule abiding nice guys) 8) Krishna (the one who is willing to break rules and play cunning games in order to win. Although its always for the sake of good and justice. He teaches us that sometimes its necessary to do the wrong things for the greater good and is okay to swallow your pride for the same) 9) buddha (the most recent incarnation. He teaches us detachment. In this modern era, the best way to live a peachful and happy lives is to detach yourself from the things. Attachment is the source of misery. Although you can love certain things and people but always keep in mind that these things are temporary and you can lose whats precious to you) 10) Kalki (he will arrive at the time when evil will be everywhere and inside everyone, so not only he will be detached but he will also be apathetic, killing anyone he deems evil without mercy. Although he won't teach humans these qualities because by the time his deed is done, the new era of "dharma" (satyuga) will begin. Basically saying that humans cannot evolve (in a negative sense) from this point on since at this point humans will behave like animals and all they can do is start over. So basically, kalki will be a destroyer unlike Krishna and buddha who act like "teachers" for the humankind.

@@Lost_inn_Time 100% agreed . sometimes Hindu beliefs became too ritualistic and started to divert from the actual goal of life taught in Bhagabata . So it actually makes sense that Vishnu would take a new Avatar to correct the people in the Era . similar to when Brand owners create rival brands themselves to keep the original still at it's best condition as was envisioned by him .
