@Urjjo Bandyopadhyay well I think he is somewhat handsome. He’s more of the mysterious emo kind of handsome. Reserved, ferocious but charming and charismatic
Harry: “Everyone wants my money!” Spider-Man: “I don’t….” I love this. Intentional or not, I feel like that was Peter talking. Peter is obviously broke, but best friends with Harry not because he has lots of money or because he can offer him anything. He’s a true friend who couldn’t care less what Harry has and just wants the guy underneath
Best part of this Harry is that it's hard to blame him for his actions. A lot of people get depressed and do things like him when they know they're about to die.
Honestly, i think Peter should’ve given him his blood, then Harry wouldn’t have felt betrayed or hopeless, and then he probably wouldn’t have died because the Venom did give him life still, not a very good life because of his disfigurement, but he became normal at the end
Here's a defense for Peter's case: if Harry bought that blood to Oscorp, one of the shadiest companies in comic book history, to study it, what are the chances that the people at Oscorp would have used that blood for more sinister purposes?
Even though Tom Holland has the best masks. Spidey's eyes emote like how they're supposed to; without them, it makes him look dead on the outside and low-budget along with it.
Peter shouldn't have even came. Peter should have told him he couldn't find Spider-Man to talk to, he's always swinging around and he never stops to chat, and Peter only gets pictures. Harry might have still gotten the spider venom and gotten sick... but he wouldn't have a reason to go after Spider-Man, then found out it was his own friend, and kill gwen.
No he would still blame for “not trying hard enough to look” for Spider-Man. It’s unreasonable, but Harry losing his sanity to desperation of not wanting to die. If he got the venom anyway, he would go after Peter for “not being a good friend” and Gwen would still die.
If this version of Harry was brought into No Way Home, imagine Andrew finally being able to cure him. Harry would then apologize to Peter for Gwen’s death. With him being redeemed, it would’ve been cool to see him battle Dafoe. They won’t be the same father and son, but it would be cool to see two goblins battling each other. Harry could’ve even said “You may not be MY father… but I still hate you like I did with him.” And then Norman’s Goblin personality would say “Maybe he and I would get along quite well” and laughs.
And that brings up the obvious flaw in No Way Home. If that spell brought in villains that know Peter is Spider-Man, why is Electro there and why was Eddie and Venom brought there in the first place when they didn't even know Spider-Man to begin with?
@@ashgreninja-flurriko2173 There has been a some explanations for those. For Eddie/Venom, Marvel and Sony said that the symbiote shave a hive mind/collective consciousness. So the Venom symbiote from Tom Hardy’s universe has the same memories as the symbiote that was in the Raimi films. So that is why Venom knew who Spider-Man was when they arrived in the MCU when they saw Peter unmasked on TV. It of course was Tobey Maguire, but Venom knows it’s another version of Peter Parker. And as for Electro, there’s bit of a theory on this. When Gwen came to help Peter at the power grid, she said his name and Electro woke up right after that after he was knocked out. So it’s possible that Electro heard Gwen’s say that Spider-Man’s name is Peter.
@@ryanstauffer119 that’s the best theory. During the scene in the sanctum, he said he was “stuck in the grid, absorbing data” before he was transported to the MCU. His physical form wasn’t there but he heard Gwen. He didn’t see anything though which explains why he didn’t know what Peter 3 looked like, hence him thinking he would be black
@@ethansnipes8990 didn’t you seen the scene where Peter goes to a secret subway and there is a recording of his father that he implanted his DNA In the spiders
Who knows? Cause what if his blood does kill him faster? Cause Harry's disease is just as genetic as Spidey's blood. What if it did something even more crazy than death?
I mean. Harry is dying, and from the looks of it and his father.. it's not a good way to go. Peter could have given his blood. If my childhood friend is dying from a terrible disease that fucks you up physically and mentally. I would give my blood since 1.it might cure him. 2.he is dying anyway, there's nothing left to lose,
I know it's not very well explained or obvious from what is shown, but Harry was actually turning into the goblin regardless of Spider-Man's help. The venom he used in attempt to cure himself didn't mutate him, it only caused the disease that was already changing Harry to happen all at once. Given time, without any external sources, he still would've turned scaly and then died from it. On another interesting note, I really like the way they choreographed the Green Goblin's movements in this movie. He is purposely meant to imitate a snake with his expressions and motions. Even when he flies around on his glider, if you picture him as the head of the snake, it's very easy to see how an imaginary body trails behind him.
@@notsocaringwolf.3763 Yes, that's true, but also, literally the scene before this one was Aunt May talking with Peter about having to take nursing classes in order for her to pay for Peter's college fees.
Spidey: "I'm sorry Mr. Osborn I can't give you my blood, it's too dangerous." Harry: "I understand, I will not use it right away, I'll perform some tests on it to really verify if your blood is compatible with mine, and if not, we can come up with another way since I still have like 40 years ish before I reach my dads age when he died." Spidey: "Oh yeah, how come I didn't think of that? Sure, let's start." Harry: "By the way, Oscorp is also being taken over and they're going to try and kill me after framing me, so I'd appreciate it if you can provide me with some protection since I'm all alone." Spidey: "Sure." Fixed this scene. And the entire movie. Your welcome.
Actually Spider-Man did the right thing not giving Harry his blood because Peter's father Richard Parker made the spider venom to only be compatible with his blood line, that's why Peter got spider powers instead of dying. And when Harry injected the spider venom in him it did nothing but make his disease even worse.
That's why I like the amazing spider-man 2 andrew very rarely takes off his mask in some scene, we can see that this scene and sad in both directions, harry this feels betrayed, but he doesn't see that it hurts to spider-man to tell him no, that he can't give him his blood. you see that these really good actors, we can't see the sadness on both sides, harry who feels betrayed and spider-man that it saddens him not to help him. make sense, the drama of the scene.
People say this is him being a spoiled rich boy. Like he hasn't even hit the halfway point and is already told he doesn't have long, this scene is desperation, fear and stress all mixing together to seem like rage. But in reality he's at that point in depression where your tear ducts say no.
Dude went from being healthy at start of movie and finding out his family has an illness to immediately infected and dying where his dad died in probably his 50s or 60s....lol always found the very strange
If they did make an Amazing Spider-Man 3 I think Harry would have been one of the secondary villains in this movie along with Venom and black cat in fact he would be the one to form an alliance with Venom after Eddie Brock became a host of the Symbiote and speaking of the Symbiote I actually think that this movie would focus on Peter trying to cope with the loss of Gwen but then he would end up exploring Oscorp where he would find the Symbiote and it would end up attaching itself to his suit giving him his iconic black costume
1:50 Actualy you do have timek, Harry. Your father died with 50 years old, you don't seem to be even half of that, so you actualy you still can find a cure.
The whole thing could have been avoided if they simply took a blood test to see if their bloods are compatible I don't think harry would have snapped if he found out spiderman's blood would kill him
Okay. Now Oscorp, which has already produced two supervillains, has access to the blood of Spider-Man and will be experimenting on it. Made worse by the fact that Oscorp is already trying to kick Harry out and kill him. So now, Peter's just given this amoral company the means to create more supervillains.
Dane Dehaan is an incredible actor. I really wish TASM2 had a better direction. Would’ve loved to have seen more of him, instead of throwing him into the green goblin right away.
hello, please if you read this comment help me. I have been looking for the soundtrack of this scene for a long time, officially it is neither on Spotify nor on RU-vid ... But maybe it doesn't belong to the Amazing Spider-Man playlists, in case you found it tell me its name. Thank u.
@@jaredruff9823 I didn't. James Franco is nothing like Willem Dafoe, I don't buy the fact that they're supposed to be father and son. Also, New Goblin is bland and badly-written in Spider-Man 3.
BlackWingedSeraph I always thought Spider-Man actually blocked the glass letting it go back at him because he was pissed because his OWN best friend was mad over not giving him his OWN blood to save his best friend’s life?
Man these costumes were old nostalgia, I mean this was before we live in a world now where we have Deadpool after this movie where people can have the ability to put motions on their masks' eye pieces to make their adaptations look more faithful, these masks including here look like Power ⚡ Rangers & even they have really good personalities too.
0:45 , 1:07 and 1:19 Peter really did want to help Harry, but he was right to not want to give his blood to Oscorp. Harry may not have personally done something sinister with it, but I’m sure someone in Oscorp would’ve. I personally really liked this movie, and the first one. It’s sad they never made a third. I liked the suit in the first one better, (except the mask) because it was very original. This one is good, but it’s very similar to the Tobey Maguire suit.
"This one is good, but it's very similar to the Tobey Maguire suit" Oh, wow. It's not like that both of the original and amazing spider-man movie costumes are both supposed to be based on the same character 🙄... Also, are you blind or something ??? There's very clear differences between the two.
I'm with Spider-Man. As much as he is about saving and protecting people, he can't just give away his blood to someone else. Also, his blood is just as genetic as Harry's disease. They could've at least done a blood-test first before ejecting him with the blood.
Harry in this movie wasn’t a bad character. In Sam raimis he was more serious and wanted Spider-Man for the death of Norman Osborn. But in this version he’s sick and dying and takes revenge mode carefully
If anyone listened carefully at the end of the scene you could actually hear Harry cry a little bit when he was about to go on his couch again (edit) yes I’m coming back to this 2 years later (that was supposed to be in my message)
I get that he was dying of a dreadful disease but honestly it looks like he has terrible eyebags and he just needed some sleep lol, but then again, the stress of the disease has probably made him deprive his sleep.
Tbf, his blood can directly link Peter Parker to Spider-Man. I am sure his DNA would be on record, so a blood test would also lead to people finding out who Spider-Man was, no?
That ain’t the reason why he refused. It’s cause of him giving the decay rate algorithm to someone he trusted in tasm 1 and it went sideways. The algorithm is in Peter’s blood and peter realized why his dad kept it a secret
Honestly, there was no good option here. I remember in the Ultimate comics, he gave his blood to Dr. Connors to help him with something and Connors turned it into Carnage, which then went on to kill Gwen Stacy. No matter what Peter did, he'd be screwed anyway.
The original script or parts of what we know was so much better but hey atleast we got the classic line YOU'RE A FRAUD SPIDER-MAN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! *FLIPS TABLE*
You see a lot of animal related statues and souvenirs around Oscorp, and obviously they run animal experiments using exotic animal dna such as Rhino, Eel, etc. I wonder if they’re implying Kraven the Hunter is the one who goes out and brings back the animals they use, such as the spiders, eels, lizards, etc. Would’ve been a nice way to tie him in.
